Today's NBA Picks: Top Player Props, Odds & Best Bets (1/27/26)

Joel Embiid - NBA Injury News, Daily Fantasy Basketball, DFS Lineup Picks

Get Keith Eyster's top NBA player props and expert picks for Tuesday, 1/27/26. Uncover today's best value bets, model projections, and live odds to beat the books.

Welcome back to another edition of RotoBaller's NBA Props! There are seven games on the schedule today, starting at 7:00 pm ET.

Key injuries of note on today's slate include: Giannis Antetokounmpo (out), Nikola Jokic (out), Devin Booker (out), Jalen Williams (out), Lauri Markkanen (questionable), Keyonte George (out), and Kawhi Leonard (questionable). There are always a lot more injury statuses announced in the afternoon hours, so make sure you are monitoring that information as closely as possible.

In this article, I will provide my favorite NBA player props picks for Tuesday, January 27th. Prop picks can range from individual stats, such as points, assists, rebounds, three-pointers made, and defensive statistics, to combination props (Points + Rebounds + Assists = PRA). All odds and sportsbooks used are listed, but it's always a good idea to shop around, as odds change throughout the day as bets are placed. Alright, let's get to the picks already!

Today’s Best NBA Picks for Player Props

Let’s take a look at the top player props for today’s NBA slate:

Joel Embiid over 27.5 Points (-102 NOVIG)

The Philadelphia big man has scored at least 30 points in four straight games, including a 38-point performance last time out against a stout Knicks defense. He's also played at least 33 minutes in each of those games. Embiid should be a full-go for this game after resting yesterday on the front leg of the back-to-back.

The matchup against Milwaukee sets up perfectly for Embiid to continue his dominant stretch. The Bucks have fallen all the way to 22nd in defensive efficiency this season and will again be without their best player in Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Josh Hart over 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125 Bet365)

The Knicks have been in quite a funk since the calendar flipped to 2026, but they are showing signs of breaking out of it. They have won each of their last two games, and the return of Josh Hart to the lineup has had a positive impact. New York lost five of six games during a stretch where Hart was out of the lineup. Hart played over 36 minutes in the last game against the Sixers and finished with 30 PRA, a clear sign that he is back to full strength.

Now, the Knicks get an elite matchup against a Sacramento team that ranks just 28th in defensive efficiency. They have allowed the fourth-most points in the league, and also rank near the bottom of the league in rebounds and assists allowed.

How Does Novig Work?

Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager that you win, and users can usually find better values on bets (in terms of the prices being offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.

There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds that the market is offering or set your own odds. If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated.

For example, if you set the odds of Jaylen Brown to go over 29.5 points at -110, then anyone can flip the bet and take the under on his points prop at +110. Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!

Top NBA Value Picks and Sleeper Props

Betting on superstars is always exciting, but the best value often lies in the margins of a roster. Role players and emerging contributors can offer hidden edges, especially as the season wears on and injuries start to shake up rotations. We don't want to wager only on superstars; it's often the role players and less-known players who may offer us the best markets.

Let’s dive into some of the top value plays for today’s NBA slate.

Peyton Watson over 18.5 Points (-112 Bet365)

Nuggets forward Peyton Watson has stepped up in a major way since Nikola Jokic went down with an injury. In 13 games since the Jokic injury, Watson has averaged 23.1 points per game, and he's scored at least 19 points in 10 of those games.

Tonight's matchup against Detroit is a difficult one, but that is offset by even more injuries on the Denver side. Aaron Gordon and Christian Braun have also been ruled out for this game, which should lead to even more usage for Watson.

Kenrich Williams over 10.5 Points (-104 NOVIG)

The OKC Thunder continue to be down several rotation members. Tonight, all of Jalen Williams, Isaiah Hartenstein, Alex Caruso, and Ajay Mitchell have been ruled out, while Cason Wallace is questionable. Enter Kenrich Williams, who has taken on a larger role with the Thunder during this recent slew of injuries. Over his last three games, Williams is averaging 15.0 points per game while playing a critical role off the bench.

Tonight, Williams gets an excellent matchup against a Pelicans team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency and allows the third-most points in the league. He should be in line for upper-20s minutes again with the Thunder still shorthanded.

Isaiah Stewart over 13.5 Points + Rebounds (-110 FanDuel)

Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart has played an important role off the bench this season, averaging 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game. There isn't a role change or an injury situation like we typically target with these less popular players, but there is an important angle that gives us an edge here.

Denver has been atrocious on the defensive end this season when Aaron Gordon has been out of the lineup. For the season, Denver ranks 23rd in defensive efficiency, allowing 116.4 points per-100 possessions. With Gordon on the floor, that number improves to 112.0 points per-100 possessions. When Gordon has been off the court this season, that number falls to 120.5 points allowed per-100 possessions, which would rank second-worst in the league.

With Gordon ruled out, Stewart should be able to take advantage of a soft interior defense in Denver.
