NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (4/2/24)

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Max Kulish's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on April 2, 2024.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Tonight we've got a seven-game slate highlighted by the TNT doubleheader of Thunder at 76ers and Mavericks at Warriors. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/2/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EDT on FanDuel and DraftKings. As always, feel free to follow my X/Twitter (@Maxadelphia) to keep up to date with NBA news and for my nightly NBA bets if you're into that sort of thing. Let's go!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Tonight's slate is the "Questionable" slate. With five of the top six most expensive players and multiple other key players for their respective teams currently sporting the Q tag, this slate could flip on its head at any moment. Regardless of who ends up in or out, there are still plenty of options and build paths for this slate.

  1. Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at WAS – PF/C ($11.5K DK; $12.1K FD)
  2. Victor Wembanyama, SA at DEN – C ($10.8K DK; $11.7K FD)
  3. Anthony Edwards, MIN vs. HOU – SG/SF ($9.4K DK; $9.4K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

The Jazz and Spurs highlight the variety of value options tonight, with both teams missing multiple starters. The most impactful absence of the night looks to be Damian Lillard missing his second game in a row, clearing the way for podcasting great Patrick Beverley to start again.

The game that could reshape the entire slate is Thunder at 76ers. With both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Tyrese Maxey's status both truly questionable, an absence by either (or both) would open the door for even more low-priced, high-ceiling options.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Patrick Beverley, MIL at WAS - PG/SG ($4.5K DK; $5.3K FD)
  2. Cedi Osman, SA at DEN - SF/PF ($3.9K DK; $4.4K FD)
  3. Brice Sensabaugh, UTA vs. CLE – SF/PF ($4.3K DK; $5.1K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

There are options galore at all price ranges for PG tonight. Keep an eye on the previously mentioned SGA and Tyrese Maxey, as well as Jamal Murray. Any of these three being ruled out would open up even more great plays at a cheap price.

Top PG Options:

  1. Jalen Brunson, NYK at MIA - ($9.2K DK; $9.3K FD)
  2. Mike Conley, MIN vs. HOU - ($5.5K DK; $6.3K FD)
  3. Jared Butler, WAS vs. MIL – ($3.8K DK; $4.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

All of the injuries and potential injuries across the league make SG a key position tonight. Every team dealing with injuries to a starter seems to have someone with SG eligibility primed to see additional minutes and usage.

Top SG Options:

  1. Patrick Beverley, MIL at WAS ($4.5K DK; $5.3K FD)
  2. Gradey Dick, TOR vs. LAL – ($4.8K DK; $5.1K FD)
  3. Collin Sexton, UTA vs. CLE – ($7.5K DK; $3.9K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

SF has a lack of options at the top end, but plenty to choose from in the $4K-$6K range due to injuries.

Top SF Options:

  1. Anthony Edwards, MIN vs. HOU ($9.4K DK; $9.4K FD)
  2. Brice Sensabaugh, UTA vs. CLE ($4.3K DK; $5.1K FD)
  3. Julian Champagnie, MIA vs. GS ($4.2K DK; $4.8K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

PF features some of the best overall plays on the slate tonight. With players that project very well and good options to formulate game stacks, PF is where I'll be starting my lineups tonight.

Top PF Options:

  1. Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at WAS ($11.5K DK; $12.1K FD)
  2. Cedi Osman, SA at DEN ($3.9K DK; $4.4K FD)
  3. Jordan Nwora, TOR vs. LAL ($4.2K DK; $4.8K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

Center has great options from top to bottom, so use this roster spot according to what makes the most sense with the rest of your build.

Top C Options:

  1. Victor Wembanyama, SA at DEN ($10.8K DK; $11.7K FD)
  2. Walker Kessler, UTA vs. CLE - ($4.7K DK; $6.9K FD)
  3. Marvin Bagley, WAS vs. MIL – ($5.5K DK; $6.3K FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

  1. Bucks at Wizards (226 total)
  2. Lakers at Raptors (234.5 total)
  3. Spurs at Nuggets (223.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

  1. Knicks at Heat has the lowest implied total (206.5) by nearly 10 points and looks like a game to avoid in cash games.
  2. It never feels correct to avoid Nikola Jokic, but with the Nuggets as huge home favorites, it feels like a spot where he won't have to go nuclear to get his team a win.
  3. Although Donovan Mitchell looks like a great option on paper, he has struggled for the last month with injuries and poor performances.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

  • My favorite overall play on the slate: Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Patrick Beverley
  • My favorite GPP play on the slate: Anthony Edwards
  • My favorite value play: San Antonio Spurs starters
