NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (3/29/24)

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Mike Barner's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on March 29, 2024.

The NBA brings a loaded 12-game schedule to the table Friday. DraftKings will include the first 10 games of the evening in their main slate, while FanDuel will include the first nine games in their main slate.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan, and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/29/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EDT on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Let's first take a look at our matchup ratings to see who we want to target for our top spend-ups tonight.

After playing 52 minutes against the Bucks on Tuesday, Anthony Davis was given the night off against the Grizzlies on Wednesday. He is listed as questionable with a knee injury against the Pacers on Friday. If he plays, he is a stellar option. The Pacers have played at the second-fastest pace and have the sixth-worst defensive rating in the league. When he faced them last weekend, he posted 36 points and 16 rebounds.

We’re looking at a matchup between two bad teams when the Wizards host the Pistons. However, there are still some fantasy-friendly options to consider. The first is Kyle Kuzma, who has averaged 24.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists over his last 16 games. Another appealing option is Deni Avdija, who has averaged 17.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists across his last 11 games.

    1. Anthony Davis, LAL at IND – PF/C ($10,400 DK; $11,800 FD)
    2. Kyle Kuzma, WAS vs. DET – PF/C ($8,300 DK; $8,500 FD)
    3. Deni Avdija, WAS vs. DET – SF ($7,300 DK; $7,600 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quadriceps) is listed as doubtful to face the Suns. He was also out Wednesday versus the Rockets, which thrust Josh Giddey into a more prominent role. He responded with 31 points, seven rebounds, and four assists over 32 minutes. While his salary isn’t overly cheap on FanDuel, it’s particularly appealing on DraftKings.

The Knicks have ruled out OG Anunoby (elbow) again. That should mean another start for Miles McBride, who has logged at least 40 minutes in each of the last five games with Anunoby out. He averaged 21.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists during that stretch and could stay hot against a Spurs team that has played at the third-fastest pace in the league.

Marvin Bagley III lost his starting center job to Richaun Holmes when he was out with a back injury. However, Holmes suffered a toe injury against the Nets on Wednesday, which resulted in Bagley posting 18 points, six rebounds, and one block over 25 minutes. Holmes has already been ruled out against the Pistons, leaving Bagley with a clear path to a more significant role.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Josh Giddey, OKC vs. PHX – PG/SG ($6,300 DK; $7,400 FD)
  2. Miles McBride, NY at SA – PG/SG ($5,800 DK; $6,300 FD)
  3. Marvin Bagley III, WAS vs. DET – PF/C ($4,800 DK; $6,100 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

Giddey and McBride both have the potential to provide value at the point guard position. For those looking for a top-tier option, consider Jalen Brunson. He continues to be a reliable source for production, putting up 28.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists over his last 10 games.

Top PG Options:

  1. Jalen Brunson at SA, ($9,200 DK; $9,300 FD)
  2. Josh Giddey vs. PHX, ($6,300 DK; $7,400 FD)
  3. Miles McBride at SA, ($5,800 DK; $6,300 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

When he gets hot, Donte DiVincenzo can score with the best of them. A good example of that is when he hit 11 three-pointers and scored 40 points against the Pistons earlier this week. Not only do the Spurs play at such a fast pace, but they have the ninth-worst defensive rating in the league. DiVincenzo has the potential to produce another monster-scoring performance.

Make no mistake about it, Jordan Poole is a risky option. When he’s off, he’s way off. However, he can also dominate when he is firing on all cylinders. Over his last eight games, he has averaged 21.9 points and shot 47.4 percent from the field. A Pistons team that has the fourth-worst defensive rating might not provide much resistance.

The Heat are not an easy matchup, so Dalano Banton might not be included in a lot of lineups. However, that might make him a viable tournament option. He has a high minutes floor right now, which has propelled him to averages of 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists over his last 14 games.

Top SG Options:

  1. Donte DiVincenzo at SA, ($7,200 DK; $7,700 FD)
  2. Jordan Poole vs. DET, ($6,800 DK; $7,400 FD)
  3. Dalano Banton at MIA, ($6,100 DK; $6,900 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

The Bulls held Pascal Siakam in check Wednesday, limiting him to 14 points over 30 minutes. He attempted just seven shots from the field, although he did attempt 11 free-throws. Still, that was his first time with single-digit shot attempts in a game since joining the Pacers. Look for him to bounce back in a big way against the Lakers, who he posted 36 points and 12 rebounds against in their last meeting.

In addition to Avdija, Corey Kispert is another member of the Wizards to consider. Unlike Avdija, Kispert doesn’t provide much in terms of rebounds and assists. However, he has averaged 15.8 points and 3.1 three-pointers over 10 games since moving into the starting lineup.

Top SF Options:

  1. Pascal Siakam vs. LAL, ($8,100 DK; $8,400 FD)
  2. Deni Avdija vs. DET, ($7,300 DK; $7,600 FD)
  3. Corey Kispert vs. DET, ($5,400 DK; $5,300 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

Giddey isn’t the only member of the Thunder who is in line for an expanded role with Gilgeous-Alexander out. Jalen Williams also was asked to do more Wednesday, producing 23 points, five rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and one block over 38 minutes.

Rui Hachimura torched the Grizzlies with Davis out Wednesday, hitting seven three-pointers on his way to scoring 32 points. Even if Davis makes his return, Hachimura is worth targeting at his cheap salary. Since moving into the starting lineup, he has averaged 15.7 points and 4.7 rebounds over 23 games.

Top PF Options:

    1. Kyle Kuzma vs. DET, ($8,300 DK; $8,500 FD)
    2. Jalen Williams vs. PHX, ($7,400 DK; $8,300 FD)
    3. Rui Hachimura at IND, ($5,900 DK; $6,100 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

We’ve already touched on what makes Davis and Bagley so appealing at the center spot. Another option to consider is Trayce Jackson-Davis, who has taken on a more prominent role for the Warriors down the stretch. He hasn’t let them down, putting up averages of 11.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks over his last 11 games. Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is listed as questionable, so if he is out, Jackson-Davis could really shine.

Top C Options:

  1. Anthony Davis at IND, ($10,400 DK; $11,800 FD)
  2. Trayce Jackson-Davis at CHA, ($5,500 DK; $6,400 FD)
  3. Marvin Bagley III vs. DET, ($4,800 DK; $6,100 FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

  1. Lakers at Pacers (242 total)
  2. Pistons at Wizards (227.5 total)
  3. Suns at Thunder (226 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

  1. Jamal Murray (knee) is listed as questionable for the Nuggets. Even if he takes the floor, he has a tough matchup against a Timberwolves team that has the best defensive rating in the league.
  2. With the Warriors being back at full strength in their backcourt, Chris Paul and Brandin Podziemski have been moved to reduced roles that don’t leave them with much upside.
