NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (3/28/24)

Zion Williamson - NBA DFS Lineups, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Koby's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on March 28, 2024.

After a few massive slates, I am tasked with the super small one! These two game slates are always interesting, there is a very limited pool of players to choose from so getting value can be extremely tough. I will do my best to get you guys narrowed down in your lineups to make it a bit easier! We have the Boston Celtics taking on the Atlanta Hawks as well as the Milwaukee Bucks taking on the New Orleans Pelicans!

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan, and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/28/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:30 p.m.  EDT on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Let's first take a look at our premium projections to see who we want to target for our top spend-ups tonight.

Dejounte Murray looks like one of the best players in the league right now. When Trae Young is out, Murray has shown that he is a top player in the NBA. The only issue here is he is expensive. He is the third highest-priced player on the slate but if he continues to produce at the level he is, it might end up being worth it. No Trae and no Jalen Johnson has increased his usage through the roof and he's averaged nearly 60 FPs a game over the last four games including a tremendous comeback win against this same Celtics team just a few days ago.

Kristaps Porzingis may be in a turn-up spot. He dropped a modest 32 fantasy points against the Hawks on Monday and with there being a question of Horford playing in today's game, this could help Kristaps usage. He also gets a good matchup where the Hawks give the fourth most fantasy points to opposing PFs. Which also helps Jayson Tatum too. I think a lot of people will gravitate towards Tatum so I will take the decrease in price and ownership to get a little different.

Zion Williamson without Brandon Ingram is different. He becomes the focal point of this offense and is a force to be reckoned with when he is healthy. He gets a tough matchup against Giannis and the Milwaukee front-court but this is going to be a close game and a big part of that will be because of Zion. He's had 55 FP in his last two games and doesn't look like he is slowing down anytime soon.

    1. Dejounte Murray, ATL vs BOS – PG ($9.6K DK; $10.1K FD)
    2. Kristaps Porzingis, BOS at ATL – PF/C ($7.7K DK; $8.4K FD)
    3. Zion Williamson, NOP vs MIL – PF ($8.9K DK; $9.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

Let's also take a look at some of our best value options brought by the optimizer as well!

Bogdan Bogdanovic is a little on the high side for value but with multiple guys out he can produce extremely well. He has had 32 and 37 in his last two games and one of those was against Boston. That is good for nearly 6x his price. I will mention however; De'Andre Hunter, Garrison Matthews, and Vit Krejci all have seen an uptick in minutes since Jalen Johnson went down and also present some value on this slate.

Payton Pritchard isn't necessarily cheap but he provides a lot of value at his price. If Jrue Holiday is out again, I would expect big minutes for Pritchard who has exploded over the last six games. He's averaging around 33 minutes and about 34 FP per game in that six-game span. He has become that guy off the bench and I would expect that to continue.

Trey Murphy sees quite the uptick in minutes when Brandon Ingram is out. He has finished the last two games with 30+ minutes and 30+ FPs. Like Bogdanovic, he is a little pricier but should be able to pay off that price quite easily. He should be good for a 30 FP outing here as the main guys seeing usage should be him, CJ, and Zion.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Bogdan Bogdanovic, ATL vs. BOS - SF/SG ($6.3K DK; $6.8K FD)
  2. Payton Pritchard, BOS at ATL - PG ($5.8K DK; $5.6K FD)
  3. Trey Murphy, NOP vs. MIL - SF ($6.2K DK;$6.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

Since I've already mentioned both the PGs below. At this point, PG is not very loaded with options. Damian Lillard should always be seen as an option and if Jrue Holiday and Al Horford are out, then that should pave the way for Derrick White to see starting minutes and some increased usage.

Top PG Options:

  1. Dejounte Murray, ATL vs BOS – PG ($9.6K DK; $10.1K FD)
  2. Payton Pritchard, BOS at ATL - PG ($5.8K DK; $5.6K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

Jaylen Brown has been a killer when he is on the court and he now gets a juicy matchup against the Hawks who they just played and where he had 35 fantasy points. The Hawks have given up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards over the last fifteen games. He is getting up there in price but is one of the "cheaper" star options on this slate.

Khris since coming back from injury has been solid. He brings another level to this team when he is in the lineup with Dame and Giannis. He has averaged 36 FPPG in the four games since his return to the lineup. As long as he stays healthy he is a good option to grab especially where the guard position is quite lacking on this slate.

Top SG Options:

  1. Jaylen Brown, BOS at ATL – SG/SF ($8.4K DK; $8.5K FD)
  2. Khris Middleton, MIL at NOP – SG/SF ($6.6K DK; $7.2K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

Sam Hauser has been lights out from three lately and just like Payton Pritchard has benefited from multiple injuries from the Celtics. If Horford/Holiday are out, this should lead to Sam Hauser seeing decent minutes, and if that three-ball is falling he should be in for a decent scoring night. He is also solid at grabbing a few rebounds and is averaging nearly 1.5 steals a game over the last seven games he's played in.

Top SF Options:

  1. Trey Murphy, NOP vs. MIL - SF ($6.2K DK;$6.5K FD)
  2. Bogdan Bogdanovic, ATL vs. BOS - SF/SG ($6.3K DK; $6.8K FD)
  3. Sam Hauser, BOS at ATL - SF ($5.3K DK; $5.1K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

Outside the top two options of Porzingis and Zion, the PF options are thin. I think Naji Marshall and Jae Crowder are possible options if you are looking for something cheap and low-owned. As mentioned before De'Andre Hunter is a decent option and he showed out against the Celtics on Monday dropping 35 FP!

Top PF Options:

    1. Kristaps Porzingis, BOS at ATL – PF/C ($7.7K DK; $8.4K FD)
    2. Zion Williamson, NOP vs MIL – PF ($8.9K DK; $9.5K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

The Center position is the one I'll be paying down at, If Horford is out, It opens up an opportunity for Luke Kornet to see some extra minutes but may be fighting against KP to get some true usage in the loaded Boston frontcourt. At 5k on FanDuel however, it's worth a shot as there aren't a lot of guys on a slate where you have to get different if you want to win.

When Bruno Fernando gets the minutes he truly becomes a PPM monster. The backup big man for the Hawks should see close to 20 minutes on the court with Onyeka Okunguwu and Jalen Johnson out they will need his size against a big team in the Boston Celtics. At 4,900$ he's a cheap option at the center position so that you can spend up elsewhere.

Top C Options:

  1. Bruno Fernando, ATL vs BOS – C ($4.4K DK; $4.9K FD)
  2. Luke Kornet, BOS at ATL – C ($4.7K DK; $5K FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

  1. Celtics at Hawks (225.5 total)
  2. Bucks at Pelicans (223.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

  1. It's hard to avoid anything on this slate as it's so minimal but with the Hawks on a back-to-back and the spread being -12.5 I would maybe lean more on the other game for this slate. But like I said it's hard to avoid anything. Atlanta has a lot of value, however.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

  • My favorite overall play on the slate: Kristaps Porzingis
  • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Dejounte Murray
  • My favorite GPP play on the slate: Zion Williamson
  • My favorite value play: Payton Pritchard
