NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (3/11/24)

Victor Wembanyama - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, DFS Picks, NBA Injury News

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Mike Barner's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on March 11th, 2024.

There are only six games in the NBA on Monday, so both DraftKings and FanDuel have decided to include all of them in their main slates.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan, and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/11/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7 p.m. EST on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Let's first take a look at our matchup ratings to see who we want to target for our top spend-ups tonight.

No longer on the injury report for the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama is set to return after a two-game absence because of an ankle injury. There was no slowing him down before the injury with him averaging 22.2 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.6 steals, and 4.0 blocks over his last 21 games. His ceiling is as high as any player included in this slate.

The matchup between the Pistons and Hornets isn’t very appealing considering their records. However, they both rank inside the bottom-three in the league in defensive rating, so it’s a matchup to target for DFS. One of the top players to consider is Cade Cunningham, who is averaging 25.8 points and shooting 49.1 percent from the field over his last nine games.

The Bulls continue to battle for a playoff spot despite injuries that have severely compromised their roster. They have been leaning heavily on DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 40 minutes over their last 20 games. The Mavericks have played at the seventh-fastest pace in the league, so expect DeRozan to have plenty of opportunities to stuff the stat sheet.

  1. Victor Wembanyama, SA vs. GS – C ($10,500 DK; $11,300 FD)
  2. Cade Cunningham, DET vs. CHA – PG ($8,400 DK; $8,600 FD)
  3. DeMar DeRozan, CHI vs. DAL – SF/PF ($8,200 DK; $8,500 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

The Hornets are playing shorthanded right now, so they have a couple of great potential value options in Vasilije Micic and Nick Richards. Micic has started four straight games, averaging 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists along the way. Richards has averaged 11.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks since the trade deadline.

Staying in the Hornets and Pistons game, don’t sleep on Simone Fontecchio. He is only averaging 24 minutes per game for the season, but he has logged 28 minutes per game since being dealt to the Pistons. With his new team, he has averaged 15.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.6 three-pointers.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Vasilije Micic, CHA at DET – PG ($5,800 DK; $5,900 FD)
  2. Nick Richards, CHA at DET – C ($5,700 DK; $5,900 FD)
  3. Simone Fontecchio, DET vs. CHA – SF/PF ($4,700 DK; $5,100 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

Cunningham is a top-tier point guard to target, while Micic can provide value at the position. For those looking for a player with a salary in between those two, consider Chris Paul. He will be facing the Spurs, who he just took on Saturday. He started that game with Stephen Curry (ankle) out, posting 10 points, four rebounds, nine assists, and three steals over 29 minutes. Curry will also be out for their rematch.

Top PG Options:

    1. Cade Cunningham vs. CHA, ($8,400 DK; $8,600 FD)
    2. Chris Paul at SA, ($6,900 DK; $7,000 FD)
    3. Vasilije Micic at DET, ($5,800 DK; $5,900 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

Brandon Miller is yet another member of the Hornets who could exploit the Pistons’ shortcomings on defense. With so little talent around him, Miller has scored at least 21 points in four of his last five games.

One of the most intriguing guards is Caris LeVert for his matchup with the Suns. Donovan Mitchell (knee) and Evan Mobley (ankle) are expected to be out again. The Cavaliers just played Sunday and Darius Garland was spotted icing his wrist after the game. If he can’t play, or is limited at all, LeVert could really be in for a busy evening.

Another bad team that is limping towards the finish line is the Trail Blazers. With their depth chart so compromised, Dalano Banton has been put into an expanded role. He hasn’t disappointed, averaging 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists over the last four games.

Top SG Options:

      1. Brandon Miller at DET, ($7,200 DK; $7,000 FD)
      2. Caris LeVert vs. PHX, ($6,700 DK; $6,800 FD)
      3. Dalano Banton vs. BOS, ($5,100 DK; $5,400 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

In addition to DeRozan, Miles Bridges is another forward with an expensive salary to consider. He is thriving as the season comes to a close, putting up 20.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists over his last 10 games. The key is, he averaged 39 minutes and 18.4 shot attempts per game during that span.

The absence of Mobley has helped Georges Niang take on a more prominent role for the Cavaliers. He is an excellent three-point shooter, making 39.7 percent of his attempts from behind the arc for his career. His added minutes has helped him averaged 14.5 points and 3.3 three-pointers over his last four games.

Top SF Options:

      1. Miles Bridges at DET, ($8,700 DK; $8,600 FD)
      2. DeMar DeRozan vs. DAL, ($8,200 DK; $8,500 FD)
      3. Georges Niang vs. PHX, ($4,800 DK; $5,200 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

Not much of an argument needs to be made for deploying Kevin Durant in DFS whenever the Suns are in action. However, he has been particularly productive since Devin Booker (ankle) went down. Over the last four games without him, Durant has averaged 33.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.

We’ve already made a case for Fontecchio as a value option, but Davis Bertans is also worth considering in tournament play. He was buried on the bench for the Thunder, but he has been playing regularly with the Hornets. Over the last five games, he has averaged 12.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 3.6 three-pointers.

Top PF Options:

      1. Kevin Durant at CLE, ($9,900 DK; $10,100 FD)
      2. Davis Bertans at DET, ($4,900 DK; $4,900 FD)
      3. Simone Fontecchio vs. CHA, ($4,700 DK; $5,100 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

For those looking to fade Wembanyama, and pass on the extreme savings that Richards provides, Jalen Duren is another viable center option. Since they have so little depth up front, the Hornets have allowed the fifth-most rebounds per game in the league. Duren enters this matchup with seven double-doubles across his last nine games.

Top C Options:

      1. Victor Wembanyama vs. GS, ($10,500 DK; $11,300 FD)
      2. Jalen Duren vs. CHA, ($6,400 DK; $7,300 FD)
      3. Nick Richards at DET, ($5,700 DK; $5,900 FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

      1. Mavericks at Bulls (233 total)
      2. Raptors at Nuggets (231 total)
      3. Warriors at Spurs (226.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

      1. Even if he plays, it might be best to avoid Garland with him battling a wrist injury and being on the second leg of a back-to-back set.
      2. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Draymond Green get into foul trouble trying to slow down Wembanyama, so I want no part of him in my lineups.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

      • My favorite overall play on the slate: Victor Wembanyama
      • My favorite CASH play on the slate: DeMar DeRozan
      • My favorite GPP play on the slate: Jalen Duren
      • My favorite value play: Vasilije Micic
