Dolphins running back (RB) Myles Gaskin is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED: 45% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Allow me to discuss Gaskin this week, because I'm probably not going to have another chance to do so through the rest of the season. Gaskin's performances have gotten better each passing game, going from 10.6 PPR points to 14.2 and 14.6 this past weekend. The difference is not staggering, I know, but it is all about the usage and how much the presence of the sophomore has increased in Miami's offense. Thus the rostership rise, which is quickly approaching a 50%+ and making Gaskin a luxury pickup not widely available for free anymore.
Gaskin logged 13 opportunities in Week 1, then 14 in Week 2, and finally 27 (!) last Thursday, which means he almost doubled his past average. Not only did Gaskin turn all of those 27 opportunities in actual touches, but he's actually become automatic in the passing game. In three games Gaskin has seen 16 targets and has hauled in 15 of them for 91 receiving yards combined. He rushed the rock 22 times (!) in Week 3 for 66 yards, which wasn't the most effective of efforts but still yielded a not-so-bad 3.0 Y/C for the second-year tailback.
Jordan Howard and Matt Breida seem to be absolutely cooked and relegated to secondary roles--if anything...--in Miami these days. Sure, Howard got some goal-line looks in Week 3 and scored a touchdown, but I'm really hesitant the Dolphins will keep him around to just give him two or three such carries a game during the season. Gaskin keeps getting opportunities and making them work, and although Seattle is a tough W4 opponent, he should be added to your roster ROS no matter the league you play in. Weekly FLEX option at the very least with upside for more going forward.
