Mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 12 (2023). Free agent hitters and pitchers to add include Matt McLain, Andrew Abbott, AJ Smith-Shawver, and Jo Adell.
RotoBallers welcome back to our mid-week fantasy baseball waiver wire rankings for Week 12 - June 12th through June 18th - to help you stay on top of the waiver wire, especially in leagues that allow daily moves. We are more than two months into the regular season, and more top prospects are being called up to the big leagues. Cincinnati Reds top prospect Elly De La Cruz and Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell were recently promoted to the majors. Since being called up on Tuesday, De La Cruz is hitting .429 (3-for-7) with a two-run home run over nine plate appearances. The 21-year-old is already rostered in 82% of Yahoo leagues. Atlanta Braves pitching prospect AJ Smith-Shawver is set to make his first MLB start this weekend.
Fantasy managers might have some injured stars return soon, such as Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (wrist) can return from the injured list on Friday. New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon (back/forearm) threw a bullpen session on Wednesday. Rodon is on target to return by the end of June. Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames (concussion) and infielder Luis Urias (hamstring) recently returned to action. We are here to help sort it all out with our latest waiver wire rankings article.
This week's waiver wire rankings feature players such as Matt McLain, Andrew Abbott, AJ Smith-Shawver, Jake McCarthy, Austin Hays, Taj Bradley, Royce Lewis, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Jorge Polanco, Adbert Alzolay, Mark Canha, Ben Joyce, Gavin Williams, Ha-Seong Kim, Jonny DeLuca rank early, among others. Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups List
For anyone who isn't familiar, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, we release all sorts of fantasy baseball waiver wire articles. As part of that, Nick Mariano releases our waiver wire rankings list on Sundays to help you prioritize which players to target as free agent adds off waivers.
In addition to that, we are also putting out a second waiver wire rankings list mid-week. Since many fantasy baseball leagues have daily waiver wire moves or multiple waiver wire runs per week for adding players, this mid-week rankings list should help you keep track of players emerging in the middle of the week before we reach Sunday.
Below you will see our list of waiver wire pickups in our prioritized order. There should be waiver wire recommendations here for all sorts of league sizes, along with the position(s) for the player and the rostered percentages.
