Dalton Kincaid Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol on Monday, per Maddy Glab of the team's official site. Kincaid couldn't gain clearance in time to suit up for Sunday night's 14-9 win over the New York Giants and is still working to do so for Week 7's divisional matchup with the New England Patriots.
Dawson Knox caught three of his six targets for 17 yards in Week 6 while third-stringer Quintin Morris came down with a 15-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter in Kincaid's absence.
Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Football Outlook
Kincaid has just 17 catches on 19 targets for 118 yards and zero touchdowns heading into Week 7. That said, he's not on the fantasy radar, even against the struggling New England Patriots defense. As bad as the Patriots have been on defense, they have allowed the 12th-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends.
In redraft leagues, Kincaid is droppable. The rookie has played around 52% of the team's offensive snaps over the last three weeks (before his injury) -- down from 80% in Week 1. It's easy to get optimistic about rookies, but this Buffalo offense is still all about Stefon Diggs and a little bit about Gabe Davis.
There aren't as many targets up for grabs as many had hoped, so it's time to play the weekly streaming game at tight end rather than rolling Kincaid out in starting lineups -- just to disappoint. He could emerge later in the season, but for now, there's little sense in rostering him.
