Hollywood Casino 400: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

Sound the alarm because Jackpot SZN is upon us Garage Fam! NASCAR rolls into Kansas City this Sunday for the Hollywood Casino 400, and there's never been a more perfect time to bag. Things should be somewhat predictable in the Cup Series for this race, but as always there is the possibility for twists and turns, and I'm prepared to ride the lightning either which way it strikes.

Denny Hamlin has been hot at this track as of late, and is in a prime spot to take the checkered flag on Sunday. Other favorites for this race are Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott, and Martin Truex Jr. As discussed in this weeks NASCAR DFS Preview Video, Chef Boi and I will mostly be stacking Hamlin and Harvick, but I've had some more time to think about who can pull a fast one on the top dogs, and it could really shake up the playing field.

Before we roll into my picks, I want to take the time to thank each and every one of you who read my articles on race day. This has been an incredible year despite the challenges we have all had to face, and It's you that I do it for. I hope that by now some of you have adopted the "Garage Guy Way" when it comes to NASCAR and that we can continue to spread the energy together for years to come.

Denny Hamlin #11

(DraftKings $10,600 | FanDuel $13,500 | DK Sportsbook +400)

Hamlin has been in cruise control mode here lately, but he has no choice but to "send it" from here on out. After the way this season has gone, it would be more than painful for him not to finally check the box of NASCAR Champion off his list. Hamlin has back to back victories at this track, so as long as he keeps his wits about him, and not pull a "Falcons", he will be in a great position to pull the three-peat.

Joey Logano #22

(DraftKings $9,500 | FanDuel $11,600 | DK Sportsbook +1400)

This was not an easy choice for me due to previous runs, and Chef BoiRDeen believing that every time we play Logano he chokes in a big way (keep this in the back of your mind). I have to write down what I'm feeling, and I'm feeling like Joey is about to pull out the big guns, and lead a ton of laps on Sunday. Logano hasn't been great at this track in recent years, but I'm hearing he'll be in the Vegas car that was absolutely electric before Kyle Busch yeeted him a few weeks back.

Kevin Harvick #4

(DraftKings $10,400 | FanDuel $13,200 | DK Sportsbook +400)

Harvick is like an old cobra ready to strike this weekend at a track he hasn't won at since 2018. Like Hamlin, Harvick is now in a position where he has to lay the hammer down, and I fully expect him to do it on Sunday. Harvick is my favorite to win this race starting in P4 (shoutout to Wendy's 4 For 4).

Eric Jones #20

(DraftKings $8,400 | FanDuel $10,200 | DK Sportsbook +3000)

Jones has been running incredibly well here lately, and you have to think it's due to him still waiting on the official word of where he will be driving come next season (I have my strong suspicions and you can follow me to find out my thoughts @GarageGuyChase). Jones will be starting P13 on Sunday, but when you look at his record, it doesn't really matter where he starts from. Jones has three Top 5's and two Top 10's since 2018 when racing in Kansas City.

Tyler Reddick #8

(DraftKings $7,800 | FanDuel $9,000)

Tyler "Red Dog" Reddick has been a favorite of mine at this track since I saw him snag a Top 10 finish in last year's cup race. That energy continues this Sunday with him starting in P15 around some other guys that Chef Boi and I think will be the key money makers on DFS slates this week.  Reddick finished P13 at this track earlier in the year starting from P23, and I look for him to sneak inside the Top 10 this time around.

Matt Kenseth #42

(DraftKings $6,600 | FanDuel $6,600)

Kenseth has had some really bad luck in his return from retirement, but he is in a great position to rack up some big place differential points for you on Sunday. Starting from P30, Kenseth offers you big upside that you couldn't normally get from other drivers that usually start towards the rear, and the equipment is the big key factor. The price point is also really good, and allows you to create a really nice balanced lineup.

Aric Almirola #10

(DraftKings $8,000 | FanDuel $10,000)

The "Bacon Boi" is back in my sights, and it's mostly due to Chef Boi having a gut feeling about him this week. Drew mentioned in the NASCAR DFS Preview Show that he had a good feeling about Stewart HAAS Racing this week at Kansas, and if the Chef is feeling lucky, I can't pass up the opportunity to brag on his first official "Gut Boi Special" starting in P16. Look for Drew Deen's NASCAR rankings on the NASCAR Premium page.

Chris Buescher #17

(DraftKings $6,700 | FanDuel $7,000)

For my last guy, I turned to lineup creation to make the call for me. In most of my lineups, using Buescher allowed me to make some heavy stacks, and the guy has been very sneaky this season quietly posting eight Top 10's and two Top 5's. Buescher had an accident at this track earlier in the year, but has consistently had positive placement in the past few seasons.
