High-Upside Waiver Wire Bench Stashes
Only players rostered in fewer than 30% of fantasy football leagues are considered potential streamers.
DJ Giddens, RB - IND
5% Rostered
When looking at handcuff running backs to stash, DJ Giddens may hold the highest upside among most of them. Through six games, Giddens has been the clear No. 2 option behind workhorse Jonathan Taylor. Taylor is one of the few running backs in today's game who can take on 83% of his team's total snaps.
However, when given opportunities, Giddens has produced, totaling 66 yards on 18 attempts. If Taylor were to miss time, there is an outcome in which Giddens takes on over 70% of the running back snaps in Indianapolis, which would push him into high-end RB2 territory. The fifth-round rookie is a priority for those who roster Taylor, as he has never played in 15 or more games since the 2021 campaign.
Ray Davis, RB - BUF
10% Rostered
The other high-priority handcuff RB is Ray Davis. Like Giddens, Davis carries minimal standalone value, but his opportunities would increase significantly if James Cook were to miss time.
Throughout six games, Davis has taken just 13 yards in attempts but was able to find the end zone for the first time this season during Monday's loss to the Falcons. Managers and deeper leagues with a pre-bench spot should target Davis, as he could possess just as much upside as popular handcuffs who are more widely rostered, like Blake Corum.

Jalen Coker, WR - CAR
15% Rostered
Jalen Coker could make his season debut this weekend, which means the "stash" window is closing fast. Coker has been sidelined in the opening month due to a quadriceps injury. However, leading up to the regular season, the coaching staff described Coker as their primary slot WR.
Through six games, outside of breakout rookie Tetairoa McMillan, no other Carolina pass catcher has emerged as a reliable No. 2 option. This could open the door for Coker to immediately jump into a large role and serve as a viable FLEX option in three-WR leagues.
If Bryce Young continues to take strides forward, Coker could even enter must-start territory in PPR formats given his projected target share.

Isaiah Likely, TE - BAL
15% Rostered
The final player to consider stashing ahead of Week 7 is Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely. Likely had a delayed start to the season, but made his eventual debut in Week 4. However, through three games, Likely has caught only three passes for a mere 18 yards.
Despite this, under the hood, his usage suggests better days are ahead. In Week 6, Likey actually logged more snaps than the presumed No. 1 option, Mark Andrews. In his first two games, Likely nearly matched Andrews' snap total.
With Lamar Jackson (hamstring) trending toward a return following their Week 7 bye, Likely could not only overtake the TE1 role, but also emerge as Jackson's No. 2 option in the passing attack opposite of Zay Flowers.
