Hamidou Diallo (SG/SF, DET): Week 13 Waiver Wire Pickups

Hamidou Diallo is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 13 of the NBA season.

ANALYSIS: Shouts out to Hamidou Diallo and his haters! The first one gets the shout-out for his absolute dominance through the past couple of weeks of play; the latter group for losing faith too soon on a clearly ascending, developing, fantastic player doing it in the Association and for the lowly non-helping Pistons no less. Yessir!

Diallo started the odd game back on the last day of October, but his true run as a starter can be pointed to have started back on Dec. 12. Since that day (included), Diallo has played 12 games starting all 12 of them. Not bad if you ask me. Oh, and the production is meriting those calls and then some. The average line Diallo is putting up nightly is up to around 16-6-2-2. The minutes are sitting at 32 MPG in that span. The usage rate is above average at 21.3% And the shooting, simply put, can't get better.

Diallo is hoisting a rather healthy 13+ FGA since he became a starter for the Pistons. He's been good to hit 54.3% of those attempts from the field, and although it is true that he doesn't get into deep-territory shooting too often, he can provide the three-pointer here and there. But when you roster Diallo what you're getting most of all are bulky counting stats on both points and rebounds, and the unbelievable steal-prowess he comes attached to. Diallo has stolen 24 possessions in his 12 last games combined, has one steal in nine of those 12 games, 2+ in six matches, and 3+ in as many as four outings. Sublime.
