FanDuel DFS - MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers & Advice for 4/22/15

Another full set of games on Wednesday, April 22nd, which means plenty of tourneys and leagues to sign up for! There are plenty of top notch starters are on the mound today, which means hitting on your offense pickups could be the difference maker. Without further ado, let’s get to it!

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller’s Premium DFS Lineup Picks & Tools help you get an edge for your FanDuel lineups with exclusive access to DFS tools and expert lineup picks. Also our DFS batters vs. pitchers tool helps you analyze today’s matchups and make optimal lineup decisions.

Stacking Offenses to Target in FanDuel

San Diego Padres

Another day at Coors, another opportunity to stack the Padres. The Padres have been extremely popular for FanDuel players and they have delivered in this series. They racked up 14 runs on Monday and followed it up with seven last night. Matt Kemp ($4,800) has been on fire in the series, hitting 4 for 8 with 3 R and 4 RBI. Derek Norris ($3,600) feasted on lefties De La Rosa and Matzek, and even though he faces a righty in Kyle Kendrick I’m still rolling him out there. Also think Yangervis Solarte ($2,700) and Alexi Amarista ($2,200) should make for great cheap fliers.

New York Mets

Here’s another weekly ritual to this point: stack against Eric Stults. Stults has pitched poorly to this point (6.30 ERA) and is facing a hot Mets squad, owners of a nine game winning streak. The Mets aren’t highly sought commodities in FD and all come at great prices. I recommend considering Kevin Plawecki ($2,500), Eric Campbell ($2,800), Wilmer Flores ($2,700), and Juan Lagares ($2,600) if you want to stack a team while investing in top SP.

Additional Teams to consider: Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays

DFS Catchers to Consider for FanDuel

Stephen Vogt - C - A's ($3,600)

Vogt has been on fire with three HR in his last four games. Only 3 for 15 (.200) with a HR lifetime vs Weaver but Weaver hasn't looked the same early on.

Kevin Plawecki - C - Mets ($2,500)

As mentioned above, Plawecki makes for a solid play if you're looking to save coin at catcher. He was a top prospect for New York waiting for an opportunity and went 2 for 4 with 2 runs in his debut.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Joey Votto - 1B - Reds ($4,400)

Votto has been mashing so far in this series with HRs in both games. I'm rolling him out there till he cools off.

Eric Hosmer - 1B - Royals ($3,500)

He's seeing the ball really well lately and is a lifetime 3 for 6 versus opponent Mike Pelfrey.

Yonder Alonso - 1B - Padres ($3,300)

Coors Field + Kyle Kendrick = Success

Kendrys Morales - 1B - Royals ($2,900)

Carries a six-game hitting streak going into Wednesday and is 1 for 3 with a HR versus Pelfrey.

Robinson Cano - 2B - Mariners ($4,200)

Cano has been playing superb in the series vs Houston and is 11 for 26 (.423) lifetime versus Roberto Hernandez. Spend the coin.

Ryan Flaherty - 2B - Orioles ($2,700)

Flaherty is a cheap bat who's hitting .333 in the early going with doubles in three straight games.

Jace Peterson - 2B - Braves ($2,200)

You'll need to check before the game to make sure he's playing, but if he does he's a cheap source for speed and Gee hasn't been strong to start the season.

Kris Bryant - 3B - Cubs ($3,800)

If you missed out on the Kris Bryant sweepstakes here's your chance to jump in on the action. He's batting .429 so far and I smell his first bomb around the corner.

Yangervis Solarte - 3B - Padres ($2,700)

If you decide to stack Padres, here's one of the cheaper guys to grab. I expect him to start over Middlebrooks today.

Yasmany Tomas - 3B - Diamondbacks ($2,200)

With Jake Lamb on the DL Tomas is going to see some playing time. If he's in the lineup again today this price is way too good to pass up.

Ian Desmond - SS - Nationals ($4,000)

Really starting to turn it on lately and comes at a much lower price than Tulo ($5,300).

Wilmer Flores - SS - Mets ($2,700)

Carries a four game hitting streak into Wednesday and plays into the stack Mets strategy.

Alexi Amarista - SS - Padres ($2,200)

You get the idea. Coors Field.

DFS Outfielders To Consider in FanDuel

Giancarlo Stanton - OF - Marlins ($4,900)

Launched a bomb last night and is a lifetime 12 for 43 (.279) with three HR versus Cole Hamels.

Matt Kemp - OF -  Padres ($4,800)

Kemp is having a field day in Coors this week and will continue his dominance versus Kyle Kendrick. Lifetime 6 for 15 (.400) only makes this an easier choice.

Wil Myers - OF - Padres ($3,800)

Myers is enjoying his time in Coors as well. Went 3 for 4 last night with a walk, double, run, and two RBIs. That'll do.

Odubel Herrera - OF - Phillies ($3,000)

Has a four game hitting streak with three XHB in that span. Great source for speed and Jarred Cosart is known to have early inning blowups.

Seth Smith - OF  - Mariners ($2,400)

Righty-lefty matchup and Smith is a lifetime 4 for 10 against Roberto Hernandez.

Chris Carter - OF - Astros ($2,400)

His price is slipping like a rock, and at this price I'm willing to gamble today's the day he gets off the schneid.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

David Price - SP - Tigers ($11,400)

You want to pay for Kershaw, be my guest. I'll take the ace with the more favorable matchup (Warren).

Johnny Cueto - SP - Reds ($10,600)

Cueto has recorded 10 Ks in two of his three starts and I like his odds for a W vs Jimmy Nelson.

Cole Hamels - SP - Phillies ($9,800)

Hamels has been bad, good, then bad to start 2015. Here's hoping he's due for a good start in a good chance to pick up a W versus Jarred Cosart.

Ubaldo Jimenez - SP - Orioles ($7,000)

Ubaldo is either going to be dominant tomorrow or get blown up, there is no in between. I highly advise paying for a top notch starter today but if you want to go cheap, Ubaldo represents a high K starter with a favorable pitching matchup (Aaron Sanchez).
