EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (2/13/21) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 2/13/21. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have another full round of English Premier League game this weekend before the Champions League returns to our lives this week Tuesday and Wednesday. After a few weeks of larger EPL slates, we return now to a small three-game main slate Saturday. There is also a two-gamer that locks a little later in the day if you wish. I have another full breakdown for you all. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Saturday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/13/21 for the slate that locks at 10:00 am ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Crystal Palace vs Burnley

Crystal Palace (+130) host a Burnley team that is getting dangerously close to the relegation zone not long after they rattled off a few nice results to give themselves some leeway. Burnley have been significantly worse on both ends of the pitch away from Turf Moor this year. Palace should have the attacking and possession advantage in this game and will make for some intriguing low-owned GPP plays as many people look to fade this game. The goal total over/under is only 2.0, so there is no need to get a ton of exposure to this game either.

Manchester City vs Tottenham

Manchester City (-305) are in the middle of a historic run of games. They have won 15 straight now in all competitions which is the most ever out of any top flight English team. They are the slate's largest favorite against a Tottenham side that have lost four of their last five games. Tottenham's road statistics are not bad at all, but Manchester City is a level above everyone else right now. Tottenham will put up a good fight, but City should control this game. The goal total over/under is a slate-high 3.0. This is a good game environment for peripheral stats as well. It will be a popular game to target for many reasons on Saturday.

Brighton vs Aston Villa

Brighton are in strong form right now with no losses in their last seven games in all competitions. They are slight underdogs at home to Aston Villa (+155) who are still tough to predict with their inconsistent results. Brighton are playing well but have not been impressive at home, and Aston Villa are the better team on paper here. It should be a fairly even game to end our slate on Saturday. The goal toal over/under is 2.5.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Ilkay Gundogan ($18) has been in superb form in the absence of Kevin de Bruyne ($15) who remains out for this match. Dating back to December 15th, he is averaging 27.5 fantasy points per game with nine goals and 22 chances created among other peripheral stats. His price has risen about 75%, but he is still worth the salary here. Manchester City is firing on all cylinders right now, and Gundogan has the perfect combination of floor, ceiling, and affordability you want in your DFS lineup.

Per the oddsmakers, Gabriel Jesus ($21) has the best anytime scoring odds in this game. However, he's not having a good season at all, and his fantasy value is still very goal-dependent. I would rather pay the extra $2 and roster Raheem Sterling ($23) who is in better form anyways with four goals in his last six league games. He also has a higher floor and good anytime scoring odds at +120.

Ollie Watkins ($21) has come back into form very nicely with four goals in his last five EPL games. He has a good matchup this weekend against a Brighton defense that is worth attacking even at home. Watkins has +150 anytime scoring odds and can be paired with Jack Grealish ($19) in a little GPP stack. Aston Villa have shown the ability to score away from home with 1.55 goals per game on the road this season. Brighton's defense has been really strong in their little seven game surge lately with only three goals allowed in that stretch. However, Villa are a strong attacking team and I like the idea of at least getting some exposure here. If you can't afford Watkins or Grealish, Aston Villa have several cheap pieces worth consideration including Ross Barkley ($14), Bertrand Traore ($13), and John McGinn ($8). Again, one - maybe two - Villa players Saturday is a solid strategy, and there are plenty of options and ways to go about it.

Eberechi Eze ($13) is quickly becoming one of the better mid-tier plays on any given slate. He gets enough attacking stats and other peripherals in nearly every matchup to hit double digit fantasy points. He also comes with low ownership and solid goal upside too. He is +350 to score on this slate in a good matchup against a poor Burnley side who are allowing 1.45 goals per game on the road. Eze has created three chances in each of his last two games both of which were on the road. He should enjoy a nice home matchup on this slate where his team will control the majority of the possession.

Pascal Gross ($13) has a nice floor with his attacking peripherals, and Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg ($13) has a nice floor with defensive peripherals.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Joao Cancelo ($15) followed up his season-high 49.9 point game with a bench game and then his only two single-digit games of the season. He is in a good spot to get back on track in this game against a Jose Mourinho side that could try to sit in and defend. Cancelo should be involved in City's attacking unit in this game often. His floor is a little shaky right now given his last few performances, but his ceiling remains as high as any defender on this slate.

Manchester City force the most defensive action out of opposing teams compared to any other team on the slate. Davinson Sanchez ($10) has not had the best season fantasy-wise, but he is a solid cheap-ish option here in this matchup. Toby Alderweireld ($13) has been good lately and has some slight additional attacking upside with the ability to create some chances. Both are nice plays in this matchup.

Brighton have also been forcing a lot of defensive action out of their opponents which puts literally all four members of Aston Villa's backline into my player pool. They are all of various prices, and it's viable to pick whichever fits your salary needs the best. Playing two Villa defenders is a decent GPP stack strategy as well.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Vicente Guaita ($11) has not had a great season in front of the net and Palace's defense, in general, has taken a step backward this season. He does have a tremendous home matchup Saturday though. His opponent, Burnley, have only scored five goals in away games this year in 11 chances (0.45 per game). I trust Palace to get the job done and win the game, and with the number of saves Guaita has been making lately, he should at least have a nice floor here. Guaita's ceiling games have broken the slate before, and they could again here under the right circumstances.

Ederson ($14) is another solid play. City have shown no signs of slowing down and will be eager to continue their historic winning streak at home against a struggling Tottenham team. Ederson is the most likely GK to get the win bonus on this slate, and Tottenham are a good enough attacking team to force him into making some saves, which boosts his floor. Ederson has a higher ceiling than normal in this game if he and his defense can keep Tottenham out of the net.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
