EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (12/30/20) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 12/30/20. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Matchday 16 wraps up with the final two games on Wednesday before we get one day off and are right back at it Friday for another round of games. I have another full breakdown for you all. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Wednesday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/30/20 for the slate that locks at 1:00 pm ET. EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Tottenham vs Fulham

Tottenham (-225) are the first of two very large favorites on Wednesday. They are at home facing Fulham who are down in the relegation zone. They have rattled off four straight ties though behind some better defending. Tottenham are not coming into this game in great form with just one league win this month, however, they should not struggle to control this game as they are clearly the better team here. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Newcastle vs Liverpool

In the late game on Wednesday, Liverpool (-325) are large road favorites against Newcastle. Liverpool have not lost in the league since 10/4, but they are struggling some on the road where they have just two wins. They have played to draws on the road against Brighton, Midtjylland, and Fulham within the last month. Still, they are great favorites in this game partly due to Newcastle's poor form. The goal total over/under here is 3.0 which is the higher of the two games.

 

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

It is not difficult to identify which stud attackers should be targeted on this slate, but let's go through them. Mo Salah ($23) struggled in his last game against West Brom, but he is still coming into this game in good goal scoring form having scored five in his last five. He leads the slate in anytime scoring odds at -200 and has a solid matchup against a Newcastle defense allowing 1.71 goals per game. Newcastle's defense has struggled especially as of late with eight goals conceded in their last three league games which puts Sadio Mane ($22) in my player pool in a Liverpool mini stack. He went through a goal drought, but he has scored in each of his last two games.

Harry Kane ($20) and Heung-Min Son ($18) will both be popular on this slate as well. Their matchup is also good at home against a weak Fulham defense that allows 1.57 goals per game away from home. Fulham's defense has been better recently though allowing just four goals in their five league games so far this month. Still, Kane has -190 anytime scoring odds which matches Mane's. He is not in great form with no goals or assists in his last three games. He also has no chances created and only two shots on goal in that stretch. Son only has one goal in those three games, but he does have six chances created and three shots on goal. I think they are both good plays at home here though regardless of their form.

It is tempting to force all four of these studs into one lineup on this slate, but it is mathematically impossible to get them with all other starters unless two $5 defenders pop into starting lineups tomorrow. However, I have no issue playing three of them.

I like Callum Wilson ($17) as a GPP play. He's the best goal scorer on Newcastle who can take advantage of Liverpool's poor road defense that is allowing 1.71 goals per game when not at Anfield.

Ademola Lookman ($16) is the GPP play I would take a look at from Fulham. He gets really good peripherals - both defensive and attacking. With Tottenham's stingy defense at home, there is no reason to go for anyone else.

Tanguy Ndombele ($9) is my favorite attacker value play on Wednesday - and he's really the only guy I would consider under $16.

 

FanDuel DFS Defenders

It could be hard to find money to pay up for a top-tier defender, but Tosin Adarabioyo ($14) has been great lately and deserves some attention. He is averaging 18.05 fantasy points over his last six games which is a whole five points above his season average. He is getting a ton of defensive stats, and now he has a good matchup to do just that on the road against Tottenham who force a lot of defensive action. Ola Aina ($10) is a cheaper way to get exposure to this matchup.

On the other side of the pitch, Toby Alderweireld ($13) has been on a similarly good run with 16.6 fantasy points on average in his last six starts. He looks to be fairly matchup-proof, so he should get to the mid-teens floor again in this game. He - and the other Tottenham defenders - are in a nice position for a clean sheet bonus too against a Fulham team that struggles to get things going on the road. Sergio Reguilon ($11) is a cheaper way to get exposure to this matchup, and he has some attacking upside as well.

Out of necessity for value at this position to jam in stud attackers, Rhys Williams ($8), DeAndre Yedlin ($8), and Matt Ritchie ($7) are all viable options.

 

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Alisson ($13) is the most likely GK to get a win bonus on this slate, but Liverpool's defense on the road concerns me. If they concede, Alisson could finish in single digits even with the win bonus. His ceiling is not that high either because he probably won't be needed to make many saves.

Hugo Lloris ($11) makes more sense to me as a home favorite. He is still very likely to get a win bonus with Tottenham 1.5 goal favorites. Tottenham's home defense has been good with eight goals allowed in seven games. Lloris is now facing a Fulham attacking that has struggled all year. They have just seven goals in seven road games. The $2 savings over Alisson is nice too.
