EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (12/15/20) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 12/15/20. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have no EPL matches Monday, but that is alright because Matchday 13 will be played during the week this week with no UCL until February. All 10 games will be played Tuesday through Thursday this week, starting with the first two on Monday. I have another full breakdown for you all. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Tuesday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/15/20 for the slate that locks at 1:00 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Wolverhampton vs Chelsea

The early game on Tuesday is Wolves hosting Chelsea (-145). Both of these teams are coming off losses this weekend looking to bounce back. Chelsea took a 1-0 loss to Everton which was their first loss in all competitions since September. They did not lose a ton of ground at the top of the table this weekend with Tottenham and Liverpool both dropping points, but they did fall to 5th. Chelsea should have the upper-hand in this game even on the road against a Wolves side that have lost three of their last five including their last two. They are struggling to find the back of the net which makes it tough to win games. The goal total over/under in this game is 2.5.

Manchester City vs West Brom

While there are some good DFS options in the early game, this game has stack city written all over it. Manchester City (-1000) are massive favorites at home against West Brom who are one of the worst teams in the league. City was not able to find the net against United on Saturday, however, they just rolled over Marseille 3-0, Fulham 2-0, and Burnley 5-0. This is another game where City should absolutely dominate possession, and they could put up a big number on this league-worst West Brom defense. The goal total over/under is a whole goal higher in this game at 3.5 than the early game.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Starting with Manchester City, you can make an argument for any of their top-tier attackers on this slate. This matchup is quite literally as good as it gets. West Brom allows 2.08 goals per game which is worst in the league. Manchester City is starting to come out of their scoring slump making this an ideal home matchup for guys like Kevin de Bruyne ($24), Gabriel Jesus ($21), Raheem Sterling ($19), and Riyad Mahrez ($18). Gabriel Jesus is in the worst form of the bunch, and might not even start if Guardiola prefers Ferran Torres ($16). Pep even did not rule out the idea of Sergio Aguero ($21) making the game day squad either - although that seems unlikely from my perspective. I have zero problems jamming three of these guys - or even four if you can find the value. Ilkay Gundogan ($9) is a solid City value piece if you're looking to make it a little easier to find DEF or GK plays.

Wolves have not been able to provide much of an attacking threat recently. They have scored three goals in their last five games and failed to score in their last two games. They are also without their striker Raul Jimenez. This - combined with Chelsea's solid defense - makes it hard to recommend any of their attackers. However, Leander Dendoncker ($9) is a good value play here with his ability to get peripherals.

For similar reasons (inability to score, tough matchup, and missing best attacker), I cannot recommend any West Brom attackers either.

I am interested in some Chelsea exposure on Tuesday to supplement the City attackers. They are coming off a quick turnaround having just played Saturday, and this matchup against Wolves is not that great. Regardless, they are still the second-highest scoring team in the league and deserve some consideration here.

Timo Werner ($20) is Chelsea's most likely scorer, however, he is in a cold-streak right now with no goals for Chelsea since 11/7. His scoring upside is there, but he remains a risky play at this price when there are other City attackers around this range.

I would love for Tammy Abraham ($18) to get into the starting lineup on Tuesday. He has been productive when given the opportunity this year, and he is a better use of salary than Werner. Olivier Giroud ($17) just got priced up insanely high. He is viable, but I will take Mason Mount ($16) and his safer floor for $1 cheaper. Chelsea should win the possession battle in this game giving Mount plenty of time to create for his teammates and accumulate stats.

Kai Havertz ($15) is the final Chelsea attacker I have interest in. After issues with fitness and COVID-19, Havertz is starting to look better on the field for Chelsea with more consistent playing time.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Joao Cancelo ($15) remains one of the elite defenders to spend up on on any given slate. He had his first dud fantasy game over the weekend in a game where nothing happened against United. He is in of the best bounce-back spots on Tuesday against West Brom. Look for him to get back to his floor in the teens. His upside is as high as any defender's as well especially with another clean sheet bonus probably coming his way.

I have to sound like a broken record at this point to a lot of you since I keep writing up the same defenders. Regardless, Reece James ($11) is still undervalued by FanDuel. He was one of the brighter spots for Chelsea in their 1-0 defeat at Everton. James has three straight 16+ point games. He is able to collect both defensive peripherals and the more important attacking peripherals as well. He has a good floor and a good ceiling for this affordable price. He, too, could see a clean sheet bonus as Chelsea face a low-scoring Wolves side.

Dara O'Shea ($9) jumped back into West Brom's starting lineup with Kyle Bartley injured. He scored 9.1 fantasy points in a drab matchup against Newcastle. He - and the rest of West Brom's backline - have a great matchup against City this weekend where they should have endless opportunities for defensive stats. O'Shea showed us some upside with three 14+ point games earlier in the year, and he can get back to that mark on Tuesday in this game environment.

I rarely - if ever - play Kyle Walker ($8). However, he just seems too cheap on this slate after his price dropped several dollars. At this price, he doesn't need many defensive stats to hit value. He is also in a good spot for a clean sheet bonus at home against a West Brom attacking unit that is playing poorly and is shorthanded. He has some additional attacking upside especially in games like this where City are large favorites. His cheap price tag opens up more money for attacking studs.

Romain Saiss ($6) is probably the best value play on the slate. FanDuel has yet to price him back up after returning from injury. He scored 19.3 fantasy points against Aston Villa on Saturday in his return. He has a strong matchup against Chelsea for peripherals stats. If he does not start, there is some value in other Wolves defenders like Nelson Semedo ($8) and Conor Coady ($8).

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Ederson ($14) is a great way to ensure yourself 17 bonus points on Tuesday with both bonuses looking very likely. The danger here is if Ederson concedes, he will likely finish with single digits with few (if any) save points. Lack of save points also limits Ederson's ceiling. Regardless, he has the best chance out of any GK for both bonuses, and that is worth something.

The other GK to consider on this slate is Edouard Mendy ($11). He has only given up three goals in eight EPL games this year, and he has five clean sheets as well. Now he gets to face a Wolves team that is only scoring 0.92 goals per game this year, and they are without their number one striker for now. Mendy has a good floor with some save points and a likely win bonus. His ceiling is well into the 20s with a clean sheet.
