DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/10/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Graham Ashcraft - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on April 10, 2023. Casey Wilson's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday. We move into Monday with a nine-game main slate with some intriguing matchups. Pitching looks very good on today's slate as we have various options at our disposal. It looks like ownership in pitching is spread out tonight although there is an option up top that I will have most of my exposure tied to. We have some cheaper punt options as well with some tough matchups, and one that may be a bit over-owned.

We have seven left-handed pitchers taking the mound today, and the theme of today's article from a hitter standpoint is targeting lefty mashers. Any day Patrick Corbin pitches, we know where the stack ownership will go. But we do have a slate that has Coors on it as well, so ownership may be tied there as always. These types of slates create major leverage as long as we can avoid the landmines and find some stacks that could provide the same upside at much lower ownership. It's hard to argue against the Angels, who demolish left-handed pitching, facing Patrick Corbin. On top of that, we will find some intriguing spots to attack.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/10/2023 and the slate locking at 7:10 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Luis Castillo, CHC vs. SEA ($9,600 DK, $10,500 FD)

Castillo enters his third start of the season yet to have allowed a run on three total hits in 11.2 IP. He has a 30.0% K through two starts, which back up his 27.2% K from 2022. Castillo has been electric this season and now gets the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley. The Cubs have made improvements to their lineup but still have a 22.7% K against right-handed pitching with their projected lineup from 2022.

To start 2023, they have a .108 ISO and have only hit three home runs against right-handed pitching in 2023, which is last in baseball. I cannot see the Cubs stringing together hits here against Castillo. If they can't beat him by the longball, we can see Castillo having another great start here.

Graham Ashcraft, ATL vs. CIN ($7,000 DK, $9,800 FD)

As you can see, this is a DraftKings play only as the price on FanDuel is outrageous. Ashcraft went 95 pitches in his first start and struck out six while allowing one run on four hits. His opponent, the Atlanta Braves, is scary. For that reason, it should keep his ownership in check.

In 2022, the Braves had a 25.1% K against right-handed pitching, good for the second-worst in the MLB. The most intriguing thing here is his slider, as he threw it 1.9 mph harder and with four inches more horizontal break compared to 2022 in his opening start. We saw a major jump in strikeouts this spring and I believe this is the best price we will see him all season. Get him at a discount while you can as FanDuel pricing has already figured it out.

Also consider: Zac Gallen

Fade: Bryce Elder will be more owned than Graham Ashcraft and Zac Gallen, who both make outstanding pivots. With Max Scherzer, the strikeouts have not been there, and the stuff doesn't look right. He also gets a tough matchup facing the red-hot Padres.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Marcus Semien - 2B, TEX vs. Zack Greinke ($5,100 DK, $3,300 FD)

Semien will lead off vs. Zack Greinke and this is a nice matchup for him. Greinke has always been reverse splits and about the only thing he does well is putting the ball on the ground. In 2022, Semien had a 47.2% FB, a .184 ISO, and a .298 wOBA against right-handed pitching. I expect the Rangers to get to Greinke here, and Semien will have the opportunity to score some runs and even steal a base or two at the top of the order.

Brandon Drury- 1B/2B/3B, LAA vs. Patrick Corbin ($3,600 DK, $2,600 FD)

Brandon Drury gets the Patrick Corbin sweepstakes and is what we like to call a lefty masher. Drury had a .327 ISO with a .387 wOBA in 2022. Corbin gave up a .206 ISO and .378 wOBA vs. right-handed hitters last season and has already given up two home runs and eight runs to start this season. Corbin is a ground ball-heavy pitcher as well like Greinke. Drury had a 47.6% FB in 2022, so he will negate Corbin's only strength.

Salvador Perez- C, KC vs. Andrew Heaney ($5,000 DK, $3,000 FD)

Salvador Perez has been hot to start 2023, posting a .267 ISO and a .361 wOBA, and has already hit two home runs. Perez is another lefty masher and he gets a phenomenal matchup here against Andrew Heaney, who posted a .237 ISO and .303 wOBA to right-handed bats in 2022. Perez had a .205 ISO and a .303 wOBA against lefties last season and I expect him to get a hold of one here against Heaney.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Mike Trout - OF, LAA vs. Patrick Corbin ($6,100 DK, $4,600 FD)

Trout is one of the most expensive players on the slate, but he gets one of the best possible matchups here against Patrick Corbin. Trout had a .328 ISO and a .433 wOBA with a 47.1% FB in 2022. He has hit three home runs early this season and looks healthy after his stint at the World Baseball Classic. There isn't a better matchup here for one of the game's best players, and the salary is completely justifiable.

Teoscar Hernandez - OF, SEA vs. Drew Smyly ($5,100 DK, $2,800 FD)

The FanDuel salary stands out to me the most here. Hernandez gets a nice matchup against another lefty, obviously the theme of the article. Hernandez had a .363 ISO and a .395 wOBA against lefties in 2022, and Drew Smyly is another guy who gets hit hard by right-handed bats. The FanDuel salary is what's the most enticing thing for me here as a bat with this much upside against his better split should never be sub 3K. He's one of my favorite plays over there.

Stone Garrett- OF, WAS vs. Jose Suarez ($3,100 DK, $2,700 FD)

I'm going to go ahead and say this to lead off, but there is no way this guy shouldn't be in the lineup every day. Garrett has superstar potential and hits the ball as hard as some of the game's best. You had to know I was going to finish with another lefty masher as Garrett had a .261 ISO and a .355 wOBA in 2022.

Not to mention he's coming off a game in Coors where he had four batted balls over 104 mph, including four hits, two doubles, a home run, and five RBIs. His opponent Jose Suarez gave up six earned runs and two home runs in his debut last week against the Mariners. I love his value on DK, but he is completely playable on both sites.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Los Angeles Angels

Whenever Patrick Corbin pitches, the team he's facing immediately becomes the top stack. This is because of the number of long balls he gives up, and the Nationals' intent to let him get his work in no matter the number of runs he gives up. In 2022, Corbin allowed a .378 wOBA and a .206 ISO to right-handed hitters.

He had a 1.70 WHIP, the third-worst among qualified starting pitchers. He also gave up 27 home runs, the ninth-most among qualified starting pitchers. This is a perfect recipe to stack against, a guy who allows a lot of base runners and gets hit for a ton of power.

The Angels hit 57 home runs against left-handed pitching last season, which was the seventh-best in baseball. Their projected lineup has .232 ISO and a .363 wOBA against lefties and has bats up and down the order that can do a ton of damage.

Led by Mike Trout (.328 ISO, .433 wOBA), Hunter Renfroe (.233 ISO, .353 wOBA), Brandon Drury (.327 ISO, .387 wOBA), Luis Rengifo (.256 ISO, .379 wOBA), and not to mention Shohei Ohtani, Taylor Ward, and Anthony Rendon, this lineup will mash left-handed pitching all season. Especially those named Patrick Corbin.

Favorite Plays: Mike Trout, Brandon Drury, Hunter Renfroe, Shohei Ohtani, Luis Rengifo, Taylor Ward

2. Texas Rangers vs. Zack Greinke

The Rangers get the soft-tossing Zack Greinke at home in what should be a very low-owned spot because of the Angels and Coors. Greinke has opened up with two good starts. After posting a minuscule 12% K rate last season, he is always going to be at the mercy of BABIP.

Greinke has always shown reverse splits. When looking at batters, I want to attack him with bats who can hit the ball in the air since Greinke had a 40.8% GB in 2022. Marcus Semien is my top bat here at the top of the order with his 47.2% FB, .184 ISO, and .298 wOBA against right-handed pitching.

Favorite Plays: Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, Adolis Garcia, Nate Lowe, Mitch Garver

Also Consider:

3. Seattle Mariners
4. Colorado Rockies
5. Kansas City Royals
