DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Picks (Week 14): NFL DFS Lineups

justin jackson fantasy football rankings NFL DFS lineup picks

The top daily fantasy football lineup picks for DraftKings in Week 14. Ben Rolfe's NFL DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

This is an intriguing slate in Week 14. With the Chiefs, Steelers, Chargers, and Saints all on the slate, there is plenty of firepower. The Rams game being flexed to the Sunday Night Football slot is not a huge loss as they are playing a very good Bears defense. In addition, we have some defenses who have been absolutely decimated by injuries this season which presents some interesting options for players who might be able to take advantage. This week there are at least a couple of interesting value selections at the running back and wide receiver positions, meaning you can afford to pay a premium for your quarterback and top end running and receiving options. Below are my DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Week 14.

These DraftKings lineup recommendations are based on matchups, performances so far, overall upside/talent levels, opportunity, and other factors such as Vegas odds, home field advantage, and more. There are quite a few great value plays available, so read on to find out which players are the best for Week 14.

Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks - Week 14 Picks

Philip Rivers - LAC vs. CIN (DK $6,500)

This is a game between two teams in very different places. The Chargers are in the chase for the AFC West and the potential bye week that could come with that. Meanwhile, the Bengals just want this season to be over. My only fear here is that the Chargers get up reasonably big around half time and Rivers sits the fourth quarter with the game against the Chiefs on Thursday in their thoughts. However, Rivers has had over 20 fantasy points on DraftKings in each of the last three weeks, and one of those games he did not pay the third quarter.

Aaron Rodgers - GB vs. ATL (DK $6,000)

We saw last week the response from the Jaguars defense when Blake Bortles was benched, and I think we see a similar response from the Packers to the sacking of Mike McCarthy. The Packers are helped by the fact that they are playing a Falcons defense who have struggled to stop anyone this season. This season the Falcons are surrendering an average of 21.9 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks so Rodgers should be able to have success at home in Green Bay.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs - Week 14 Picks

Aaron Jones - GB vs. ATL (DK $7,200)

One of the things that McCarthy was hammered for continuously this season was his under use of Jones. If Joe Philbin is likely to have any shot of earning the head coaching job, he will need to show he can use his weapons effectively. I expected to see Jones dominate the touches from a running back point of view this week and see plenty of carries in cold conditions in Green Bay. As the lead back he should have success against a Falcons defense which has surrendered 21.5 fantasy points to opposing #1 running backs this season.

Gus Edwards - BAL @ KC (DK $4,500)

Edwards did find it tough last week against the Falcons. However, the real positive is that he had 21 carries in the game and that is a number I think he can get close to this week. The Ravens are going to have to run the ball and control the clock to give themselves a real chance of winning in Kansas City. Edwards has really taken over as the lead back at this point and therefore should benefit facing a Chiefs defense which is surrendering 30.7 fantasy points to opposing running backs at home.

Justin Jackson - LAC vs. CIN (DK $3,800)

This is somewhat of a gamble because I still think Austin Ekeler starts this game for the Chargers. However, this is a game I can see the Chargers winning at a canter and that is where I think we see Jackson thrive. If nothing else there is a chance that at some point in the second half the main starters get some rest ahead of the Chiefs game Thursday. However, even if that is not the case, Jackson has been impressive in the last two games, averaging eight yards per carry on his 15 carries and scoring a touchdown.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers - Week 14 Picks

Odell Beckham Jr. - NYG @ WAS (DK $8,300)

At times this season Washington's defense has looked really strong, but they have had their issues at times. For example, they are giving up an average of 18.5 fantasy points to opposing #1 running backs at home this season. In the last two games has actually struggled a little bit to turn targets into receptions with eight receptions on 18 targets. However, Beckham has still managed to average nearly 16 fantasy points in the last two outings and remains the main target for this Giants passing offense.

Amari Cooper - DAL vs. PHI (DK $6,600)

The Eagles passing defense has been completed decimated in recent weeks. They are starting corners that no one has ever really heard of and when you watch the games, you can tell. They were not made to suffer last week facing a Redskins offense which has also been decimated by injuries itself. However, this week they are facing a Dallas offense which is at full strength and can attack them in multiple different ways. The Eagles have surrendered 18.5 fantasy points per game to opposing #1 wide receivers on the road this season and Cooper should be able to continue on a run in which he has averaged eight targets per game over the last four weeks.

Adam Humphries - TB vs. NO (DK $4,900)

Humphries is on a great run in the last three weeks. He has totaled 20 targets, 16 receptions, three touchdowns, 175 yards and has averaged 17.2 fantasy points over those three weeks. The Saints defense is much improved as the season had progressed by they still have holes and Humphries out of the slot could be the guy to attack a defense surrendering nearly 14 fantasy points per game to slot wide receivers. There is likely to be bad weather in this game, but there is still likely to be plenty of points scored as reflected by the Vegas over/under of 55.5

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends - Week 14 Picks

David Njoku - CLE vs. CAR (DK $3,900)

A lot depends on his health but the Panthers have had serious troubles against the tight end position this season. They have been surrendering over 16 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends and there is no real competition among the Cleveland tight end position for targets. Njoku has seen five or six targets in four of the last six weeks and if he is healthy and active then I think he sees at least that this week.

Vance McDonald - PIT @ OAK (DK $3,800)

Oakland are another team who has struggled against the tight end, surrendering over 17 fantasy points per game to the position. The only issue here is that McDonald and Jesse James both see targets in this offense and there is a concern every week that one of them could get frozen out. However, I feel like McDonald is the number one tight end and he should continue this streak that has seen him targeted at least four times in the last five weeks.

DraftKings DFS Defenses - Week 14 Picks

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Cincinnati Bengals (DK $3,500)

This feels like an easy pick for me. If the Chargers had a home field advantage it would be even easier but picking against Jeff Driskel and an offense lacking A.J. Green is too much to pass up. Driskel is not terrible but he does not prevent enough threat to make you double think starting a defense against him. In addition, the main running weapon is Joe Mixon who has been hit or miss this season. I think the Chargers get after Driskel for large parts of the day and potentially force at least a couple of turnovers.
