Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (12/2/21) - DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy

Koby Hansons' DraftKings and FanDuel. DFS lineup picks for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 12/2/21. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS picks. We have quite the slate ahead of us as the IEM Winter tournament is upon us. This is a LAN tournament and the first day is only Best of One game. So lineup construction is a little bit different, as you want to guide your line more towards getting as many top players as possible rather than stacking and looking for a sweep. The games ahead of us include; Mouz vs. Vitality, NiP vs. Astralis, G2 vs. Tyloo, OG vs. Team Liquid, Ence vs. Virtus. Pro, Gambit vs. Fnatic, FaZe vs. BiG, and lastly GODSENT vs. Heroic. I also want to note that at the time of making this, the only slate out is on FanDuel. A lot of what I say is still true in the case of DraftKings, just the pricing will be different and I assume they won't have all the games. If you have any questions feel free to DM me on Twitter!

Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at 06:00, am

IEM Winter 2021

Best of 3

  • Mouz (+160) vs. Vitality (-210)
  • NiP (+105) vs. Astralis (-135)
  • G2 (-425) vs. Tyloo (+285)
  • OG (-175)  vs. Team Liquid (+135)
  • Ence (+130) vs. Virtus. Pro (-170)
  • Gambit (-155) vs. Fnatic (+120)
  • FaZe (-250) vs. BiG (+185)
  • GODSENT (+310) vs. Heroic (-475)

Captain Plays

ZywOo: I get it, he's expensive, but he is still easily the 2nd best player in the world and almost was able to knock NaVi off in the Grand Final of the previous tournament. He has also been scoring insanely well lately. MOUZ last time we saw them looked very flat and just didn't look like they wanted to be there. With this being one map there is little time for mistakes, I see ZywOo and Vitality taking advantage of that and they have their way in this matchup. On LAN, ZywOo is averaging a 1.44 K/D with a .86 KPR and a low .60 DPR.

NiKo: G2 has been on a bit of hiatus since their 2nd place finish at the Major and boy did NiKo look good during it. NiKo has been playing so well lately it has been crazy. He gets a great matchup to get back into the groove of things especially with kennys joining the team replacing nexa who is having some visa issues. I also really like NiKo's price as he is a top option on this slate at a discount from many other players. Not that it matters as much on Fanduel but he could be much lower-owned and has the potential to drop some big points for one map. On LAN he is averaging a 1.31 K/D with a .82 KPR and a .63 DPR.

Other captain plays in order of preference: k0nfig, smooya, sh1ro, stavn, Spinx, twistzz, tabsen

Value Plays

mantuu: My only worry here, is that OG hasn't played a competitive match in over 6 weeks. I think they draw a good matchup though against Team Liquid. Mantuu has shown that he is one of the best on this team and the fact we are getting him so cheap on Fanduel at 9,200$ is crazy. He is elite value for a player who doesn't die a whole lot and is a great AWPer. OG isn't the most active team and therefore I looked a little farther back on his stats and over the last 6 months mantuu is averaging a 1.28 K/D with a .72 KPR and a very low .56 DPR. If he can perform at this level coming into the final tournament of the year he could be an essential value play on this slate.

rain/broky: I think you can go either way here as both of them are far too cheap for how they have played recently. These two teams have recently played twice in the last three months and rain has been amazing in both games. So I do like rain quite a bit as he carries a 1.09 K/D with a .74 KPR and a .68 DPR on LAN matches. broky is a great play if you are looking for someone who dies quite a bit less. He has a bit higher K/D at a 1.20 with a .72 KPR but a much lower.60 DPR. Both of these guys are fantastic value plays against BiG who just hasn't been able to stifle this hot FaZe team in the past.

Other value plays in order of preference: Yekindar, device, syrson, dycha, hades, misutaaa

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Lineup Construction: I think there are many ways you can go about this slate. With it being a best of one slate, it doesn't matter as much to focus on stacking as it would on a normal Best of three slate. Here we want to get the best players and as many of them as possible. In games you think are close, taking finding the best player from both those teams is viable as you aren't losing or gaining points whether the team wins or losses. Finding players with low death percentages, high kill percentages, high headshot or assists rates are great too because those are the points that matter. A player like for example Zywoo might not have as high of a headshot percentage but he has a much lower Death percentage as an AWPer.

The team spot as well on Fanduel is not going to matter that much, so I can fully see just punting that to get some extra salary. The max a team spot can get is 26 points and that is if they win 16-0 and I just don't see that. Punting team spot is more of a GPP play to force as many top players as possible into your lineup. I do recommend choosing one of the teams, I have listed below in my prediction tab. I do want to mention that Gambit is very cheap though and should be an option considered as your team spot as the match against Fnatic could go either way and should be close. I see a lot of winning teams scoring around the 18-22 point range.

A couple of players, that have been playing insanely well and are stackable in your lineups include; ZywOo, k0nfig, NiKo, smooya, sh1ro, rain, mantuu.
