FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (11/6/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

It's the weekend and your boy Thunder Dan finds himself writing up some NBA DFS picks for the first time in the regular season! I've been pretty consumed with covering the NFL premium for our RotoBaller peeps and doing my daily NBA betting content that I haven't written many DFS pieces so far this year!

But you better believe I am grinding the NBA every day as always! Tonight we have a five-game main slate (Denver-Houston is only available on the all-day slate) with some really closely projected games. We also have most of the injury info we need (hopefully, anyway) as Jaylen Brown, LeBron James, and Tobias Harris have already been ruled out. Donovan Mitchell, Kyle Lowry, and Kristaps Porzingis are three stars that are currently questionable and whose status could definitely affect the slate - stay tuned!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/6/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

DeMar DeRozan, SG/SF– vs. PHI ($8,400)

I'm starting my lineups today with DeRozan, it's that simple. His price is slowly increasing but he's still a bargain for the steady production he's offered us all year and he's running particularly hot of late with 42, 52, and 50 FD points in his last three.

Gone are the days when the Bulls relied on Zach LaVine to take 30 shots a game and they're a much better team, as a result, this year. DeRozan is getting his so far this year and dropped 37 actual points on the Sixers in this same matchup on Wednesday. He's a master of the mid-range and does a great job of drawing fouls and getting to the line, too. The Sixers guards are too small to stop him and there's no Tobias Harris again tonight to put on him either.

Dennis Schroder, PG/SG – at DAL ($6,000)

The Celtics guys are really interesting for DFS purposes tonight as no Jaylen Brown means we should see the rest of their main scorers have to pick up the slack. Schroder should slot into the starting lineup for Brown and has been a very welcome addition in Boston this season, averaging 13-4-6 while bouncing between the starting lineup and a sixth-man role.

Schroder filled in for Marcus Smart for several games, too, and is averaging 15-5-7 in three games as a starter this year. He's fairly priced and offers a solid floor and ceiling here. Playing Jayson Tatum is fine, but he's expensive and Schroeder/Horford both stand to gain a lot of value at their respective price points.

Jalen Brunson, PG/SG – vs. BOS ($5,200)

Brunson is a fantastic value on today's slate. Despite posting 35 and 51 FD points in his last two games, he's still only around 5k. Dallas has really lacked many offensive threats other than Luka Doncic this season, especially with Porzingis missing a number of games.

Brunson can do a little of everything and has been stuffing the stat sheet whether he's starting or coming off the bench with averages of 15-5-4 this season. Even if Porzingis plays, I would fire him up with confidence and expect that he's earned a major role with the team based on his strong play to start the year.

Shake Milton, PG/SG – at CHI ($4,800)

Keep an eye on the status of Furkan Korkmaz for Philly as he missed Thursday's game. Shake slid into the starting lineup and had himself a game posting 36 FD points and a 16-8-5 line. The biggest development was that his minutes' cap of around 18-20 minutes was lifted and he played 33 minutes against Detroit. With Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons out again, the Sixers desperately need scoring from someone other than Embiid and Shake knows how to get buckets. If he's going to play 25-30 minutes as a starter or as a sixth man he's certainly viable at this price.

Also consider: Chris Paul ($8,100); Seth Curry ($5,400)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Davis, PF - at POR ($10,600)

With LeBron James out, we have to give the Lakers' other stars some serious consideration in a great spot against a bad Portland defense. I know Westbrook is quite a bit cheaper, but I am rolling with AD here in this spot. Historically, he has demolished the Blazers and they simply don't have anyone who can match up with him. Nurkic has the size but not the mobility to guard him outside the paint.

He's currently questionable, but I'm guessing he plays and that the Lakers are anxious to get a win after an embarrassing loss to OKC on Thursday. AD had 29 points and 18 rebounds in that game and he's poised to be the top raw points play on this slate, too.

Norman Powell, SG/SF – vs. LAL ($6,100)

After dropping another 25 points last night, Powell is officially red-hot and has 22+ actual points in three straight games. The Blazers have really relied on him and McCollum to carry this offense so far this year while Damian Lillard continues to slump. I love this game tonight with the Lakers as it has the highest pace and I think it could end up being the most productive for DFS. At only 6k, Powell is a good bet to crack 30 FD points and he certainly could do a lot more as he's racked up 8 blocks + steals over his last two games, too.

Georges Niang, PF – at CHI ($4,600)

Niang has been absolutely spectacular on a per-minute basis this year in Philly and it's nice to see him finally get a chance to get meaningful minutes in an NBA rotation. The guy has an excellent skill set and he's flourishing in Tobias Harris's absence, posting 36, 26, and 27 FD points over the last three games. He's one of the better values on the slate and I have no problem using him in either cash of GPP lineups tonight.

Also consider: Jimmy Butler ($10,000); Jayson Tatum ($9,500), Carmelo Anthony ($6,500)

FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Joel Embiid – at CHI ($9,300)

This price is just silly, right? I know we haven't seen too many monster games from Embiid yet this year, but this is probably as cheap as we will see him all year. He posted 18-9-7 against the Bulls on Wednesday but shot only 6-18 from the field. If he makes his shots at a higher clip, he would have posted 50+ fantasy points and I'm going back to him here against a Bulls team that is badly undermanned in the paint. If Embiid is motivated to get his tonight, we know he can break the slate, and again this price is simply too low for such a high-usage player of his caliber.

Al Horford – at DAL ($7,600)

While many will flock to play Jayson Tatum (nothing wrong with that), I'm drawn to Big Al tonight in this spot against a weak Dallas frontcourt. Big Al has been dynamite since returning to Boston this year, averaging 41 FD points per game. Some might scoff at his price being up over 7k but I will play him all day at that price without hesitating one bit.

Also consider: John Collins ($6,800), Clint Capela ($6,400)
