Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Saturday 7/3

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 7/3/21. Mike Marteny identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for Freddy Peralta or other aces getting smacked this week, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We only have five pitchers owned in more than 90% of leagues and another four that are owned in more than half of ESPN leagues. That leaves a staggering 21 pitchers out there for us to choose from, and there are some good ones. Get ready!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 7/3 - Shallow Leagues

Nate Lowe (1B, LHB, TEX) - 49.4% Rostered

Matchup: at SEA LHP Marco Gonzales

Lowe has hit safely in five straight and 12 of the last 13 games. Lowe is hitting .340 in that span with three homers, seven RBI, and seven runs scored. We can work with that, especially against a pitcher in Marco Gonzales that has reverse splits. Lefties are hitting a robust .271 off of him in his career.

Myles Straw (OF, RHB, HOU) - 40% Rostered

Matchup: at CLE LHP Sam Hentges

Straw is hitting .353 with a homer, four RBI, three steals, and nine runs scored over the last two weeks. He is a cheap piece of an offense that averaged six runs a game in June and scored 10 runs or more seven times. The Astros as a whole were cooking in June and that has carried over into July with three homers and 13 runs in two games. Straw has been getting on base a lot, which means he will definitely help you in steals and runs scored. Those can be two of the tougher categories to pick up in 5x5 leagues.

Austin Hays (OF, RHB, BAL) - 38.7% Rostered

Matchup: at LAA RHP Alex Cobb

Hays started the season strong before landing on the IL and then he struggled when he first came off the IL. It looks like he's getting back to his April form of late. Hays is hitting .417 over the last week and has two homers, five runs scored, and nine RBI in that span. Cobb has allowed 16 runs in 19.2 innings over his last four starts. That includes a scoreless outing against the Tigers in that span. I really like Baltimore bats tonight.

Willy Adames (SS, RHB, MIL) - 28.9% Rostered

Matchup: at PIT RHP Cody Ponce

Adames hit the ground running with the Brewers after being traded from the Rays and he hasn't really stopped. Adames is hitting .379 with four  homers, a steal, eight runs scored, and 11 RBI in the last week alone. His average exit velocity has been over 90 mph in all but one game (where it was 89 mph) since the Summer Solstice. This production isn't a fluke with him hitting the ball this hard.

Hitter Streamers for 7/3 - Deeper Leagues

Jon Berti (2B/3B/OF, RHB, MIA) - 12.9% Rostered

Matchup: at ATL LHP Kyle Muller

Injuries have opened up some playing time for Berti. He's showing no signs of giving it back. The acquisition of Joe Panik might throw Berti into a platoon role, but he should definitely be in there against the lefty tonight. Berti is hitting a cool .357 over the last week with a homer, three runs scored, two RBI, and three steals. He's not going to score a ton of runs in this offense, but I'll gladly take the boost to the average and steals in a deeper league.

Brendan Rodgers (2B/SS, RHB, COL) - 11.8% Rostered

Matchup: vs. STL LHP Wade LeBlanc

Rogers is 5-13 with a homer, two RBI, and three runs scored so far in the current homestand. Wade LeBlanc has lowered his ERA since coming out of the bullpen, but a game at Coors is only going to inflate the already high 5.60 ERA he has posted in 17.2 innings this year. Not only that, but the Cardinals bullpen has struggled for most of the season. The Rockies should have fun with that too.

Jake Fraley (OF, LHB, SEA) - 10.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. TEX RHP Jordan Lyles

Fraley is mostly in a platoon role right now, but he's looking pretty good in it. He has a modest four-game hitting streak in which he is 6-12 with a pair of homers, a pair of steals, three runs scored, and three RBI. If you say that you can't use that, you're lying.

Jackie Bradley Jr. (OF, LHB, MIL) - 8.6% Rostered

Matchup: at PIT RHP Cody Ponce

Bradley is riding a five game hitting streak in which he is 8-19 with a homer, four RBI, a steal, and three runs scored. Bradley doesn't usually provide much in counting stats aside from runs, but he is riding a hot streak and has put up a homer and steal in that span. He's worth picking up against a Pittsburgh pitching staff with a 4.76 ERA.

Pitcher Streamers for 7/3 - Shallow Leagues

Jake Odorizzi (RHP, HOU) - 47.4% rostered

Matchup: at Cleveland

Cleveland has only scored eight runs in four games since Josh Naylor went down after they spent the month of June playing like a respectable team. Odorizzi, who started about as poorly as Cleveland did this year, hasn't allowed a run over 14 innings in his last three appearances while allowing just four hits and striking out 15. We've seen stretches like this from Odorizzi before. We have reason to believe that it will continue against a Cleveland team that is having issues scoring runs right now.

Pitcher Streamers for 7/3 - Deeper Leagues

Kyle Muller (LHP, ATL) - 10.8% rostered

Matchup: vs. Miami

I would have to say that Muller is one of my favorite streaming options of the entire season so far. We all saw what Smyly did to the Marlins last night, and it could have been even better had the bullpen not blown it for him. Muller has been outstanding in his first three major league starts, holding Boston, the Mets in New York, and the Reds in Cincinnati to just three runs in ten innings while striking out 13. In fact, Muller has only allowed two hits combined in his last two starts. He's cruising right now, and he gets a team that is having a hard time putting the bat on the ball.
