Bobby Witt Jr. Back in Monday's Lineup
Bobby Witt Jr. (back) is starting at shortstop and is batting second on Monday against the visiting Washington Nationals and right-hander Cade Cavalli in the series opener. Witt dealt with back stiffness over the weekend and sat out of Sunday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins. The 25-year-old All-Star was up in the air to play on Monday, but he's in there and needs to be in all starting fantasy lineups. He snapped a short hitting streak with a hitless performance on Saturday, and he's hitting .226 (7-for-31) with two home runs, a triple, five RBI and two steals in eight games in the month of August. The former first-rounder can do it all on the diamond and contribute in all fantasy categories. He's currently slashing .284/.340/.493 with an .833 OPS, 17 homers, 65 RBI, 71 runs and 30 steals.
