Bank of America ROVAL 400: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

It's the last time this season that I'll be able to scream the Gucci Mane & Drake hit single (In my eyes) "Back On Road" at random times during a race, but I'm not too sad about it because I'm actually here in Charlotte for ROVAL weekend! Chef BoiRDeen and I hit the road on Friday morning and scooted down to Charlotte town for our first ROVAL experience, and Charlotte has been a blast thus far. With today being the last day, we're going to do it big, and are ready for our research to blast off to space and create big bags on DraftKings and FanDuel.

This Saturday, Drew and I decided to attend the Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and it was hands down the wildest race I've ever watched in person. The rain is definitely a huge wildcard at the ROVAL, and as of now, It's looking like the Cup Series race could be impacted as well. I fully expect the cup series guys to have a lot cleaner of a race, but the truth is you just can't be sure because we've never truly seen it before like we saw today.

This is the third ROVAL race on the schedule since 2018, and the data was starting to get a little clearer for us until the monkey wrench named "Rona" was thrown into 2020. My approach this week will be pretty simple, and I will definitely be factoring the odds into my picks more than usual. My advice is to stick to what we know, build multiple lineups, and have at least three "Gut Bois" on deck for what may be the most historic ROVAL Playoff race yet!

Chase Elliott #9

(DraftKings $10,600 | FanDuel $13,500 | DK Sportsbook +275)

I dont think I really need to type anything here, but I'll do it out of respect for journalism. Elliott is hands down the NASCAR Road King right now, and I dont know of anyone who is on his level that could snatch the crown. Elliott has taken the victory in the last three road course races in the cup series.

Martin Truex Jr. #19

(DraftKings $10,300 | FanDuel $13,200 | DK Sportsbook +500)

Truex Jr. has been very quiet in terms of winning this season, but make no mistake, the man could still have a trick up his sleeve. From his on and off winning affair with Sonoma, to his recent Top 3 flirts at Watkins Glen, he has all the experience he needs handling corners at high speeds. Now would be the perfect time for Martin to get a win, and secure his spot in the next round of the playoffs.

Jimmie Johnson #48

(DraftKings $9,100 | FanDuel $10,600 | DK Sportsbook +2000)

Seven-Time (or Eight-Time if you consider him beating COVID-19 a victory) is in a perfect spot (P30) to rack up major place differential points this Sunday, and I honestly feel like in the right conditions he could win this thing. Johnson has had a terrible retirement year, and I know I'm not alone in wanting to see him in Victory lane one last time. In the last two road course races, Johnson has finished inside the Top 10.

Kurt Busch #1

(DraftKings $8,400 | FanDuel $10,300 | DK Sportsbook +2500)

I'm back on my Busch'it at the ROVAL, and for good reasons. "Skrrt Kurt" won recently at Las Vegas, and while some may call it luck, I call it "Showing your brother that you dont get nice things when you are negative AF". I dont see Busch laying over easy now that he knows he has a shot, and even though he may fall back early on, I see him moving towards the Top 5 area by race end.

Michael McDowell #34

(DraftKings $8,100 | FanDuel $9,000)

McDowell has returned, and it Mike Mac season in Garage Guy world. McDowell is a damn good road course racer, and an easy lock to get you positive place differential points at a cheaper price starting P31. Unfortunately, the DFS sites have recognized this, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't play him.

James Davison #53

(DraftKings $5,500 | FanDuel $5,000)

The Australian wonder is getting another green light from me this weekend (even though I'm still personally weary). The reason we have to have Davison in some lineups is due to his 16 wins in Formula 5000, and his starting point (P37) in today's race here. Keep your fingers crossed, because if all goes smooth, Davison could be a big moneymaker for many.

Clint Bowyer #14

(DraftKings $8,800 | FanDuel $11,300)

Bowyer came out with the saddest news this past week stating that he will not be returning to the 14 car next season at Stewart Haas Racing. Bowyers is such a force of nature, and although I'll miss him on the track, I know I'm going to love him in the booth. Look for Bowyer to make the most of the rest of this season, starting today.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. #47

(DraftKings $7,700 | FanDuel $6,600)

Last but not least, our favorite wild side racer Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has to be mentioned this week. Stenhouse Jr. is starting from P38, and I know that most of you will laugh and skip the play, but this is how you strike it big in NASCAR DFS. With the potential place differential for a Top 20 road course racer starting this far back, I've got to roll the dice.
