South Point 400: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

Get ready for the lights, the excitement, and all the bad choices you never have to remember heading into Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend to kick off Round 2 of the NASCAR Playoffs. They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but the truth is, we wanna bring it all home with big bags from DraftKings and FanDuel lineups this Sunday night. This is the race where I secured the tourneys last season, and I had to get out of the box to bring it home.

I want you to imagine you're sitting at a blackjack table at Caesar's Palace, and you get a wild hair. When you check your cards you realize you have 21, and then your opponent goes all in along with another (playing the bluff game). Little do they know you're about to do the same and leave them in the dust with your Garage Guys Energy (that's what we're going to do guys, but with race cars and not cards).

Moving away from the Sin City analogies, Kevin Harvick is on the pole for this one, and is shooting for his 10th win of the season. There aren't many cheap options worth a shot this week on the slate, so multiple lineups are even more important. I will say that I feel very confident that someone starting inside the Top 10 will win Sunday's race at LVMS.

Denny Hamlin #11

(DraftKings $11,000 | FanDuel $13,300 | DK SportsBook +750 - 1U)

Hamlin doesn't have the sexiest record at this track by any means, but it feels like we're due for a Denny Dash after a forgettable last few weeks for the FedEx 'Yota. One thing you can't deny is that this year has been unlike any other we've have seen in our lifetime, and it's woken up the beast in Denny. His record at Homestead-Miami and Kentucky had been crappy before this year, and he walked away with wins at both, so it's very possible we could see him contend on Sunday.

Joey Logano #22

(DraftKings $10,300 | FanDuel $12,800 | DK SportsBook +650 - 1.5U)

Logano has been triggering Kyle Busch fans for the last week after what was considered a block while Busch was racing Harvick for the win. While many are still thinking about that, I've moved on to bigger and better things (like the fact he's running his race winning car from this track earlier in the year). I'm expecting to see that "Joseph L" energy unleashed at this track Sunday night to punch his ticket to the third round of the NASCAR Playoffs with the win.

Ryan Blaney #12

(DraftKings $9,100 | FanDuel $11,500 | DK SportsBook +1000 - .5U WildBoi)

Blaney has been arguably the most unlucky driver over the second half of the NASCAR season, but that all may come to an end now that there is nothing left to worry about. Blaney rolls off from P15 on Sunday night, and still has a fast ass Team Penske Ford Mustang. Look for Blaney to work his way into the Top 10 quickly, and possibly finish inside the Top 5 in Sin City.

Kevin Harvick #4

(DraftKings $11,700 | FanDuel $13,500 | DK SportsBook +450 - 1U)

Harvick is the "Pole Boi" for what feels like the bizillionth time this season due to the new qualifying order, but I don't expect him to unleash hellfire and brimstone as soon as the race starts. Harvick is by no means going to slack up while on the verge of setting a NASCAR record of 10 wins in a single season, so he'll be in this one for the long haul. Don't expect Harvick to be the race dominator this time, but possibly sit back to pull off a sneaky win similar to his last run at Darlington.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. #47

(DraftKings $7,800 | FanDuel $7,000)

Stenhouse Jr. recently shaved his mullet off, and it made me so upset that I almost didn't write about him until I saw that he was starting P33. Earlier in the season, Ricky went beast mode at this track, and finished the race in P3 after starting P26. With no stress, and a lighter head of hair, Stenhouse Jr. should be fast and furious in the Kroger Camaro (and the chalkiest chalk of the season).

William Byron #24

(DraftKings $9,400 | FanDuel $8,800)

Willy B has had an entire week to dry his tears after being forced out of the NASCAR Playoffs by a driver who's never seen a Cup Series Top 15 (talk about a big oof). Starting P28, Byron should go straight to Zoom Town when Barney slings the green flag, and be another huge place differential play. Chef Boi recommends this play more on FanDuel this week for his price.

Corey LaJoie #32

(DraftKings $5,500 | FanDuel $4,000)

Every slate has a punt play, and LaJoie is usually mine. LaJoie starts from P31 on Sunday night, and is the best choice in his price range due to previous race records. Corey has had two Top 20 finishes at this track in his career, so this is the track to let it all ride on "Corey LaClutch".

Tyler Reddick #8

(DraftKings $6,900 | FanDuel $7,800)

Tyler "Red Dog" Reddick has been pretty quiet as of late, but I'm looking for his luck to change after a trip to Sin City. Reddick started P25 in this year's Pennzoil 400 at this track, and ended up moving to a P18 finish. Red Dog rolls off P14 Sunday night, and could be that lower owned driver who is the final piece to your tourney bagging puzzles.
