San Diego Padres reliever Drew Pomeranz breezed to his third save Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, retiring the side in order. Although incumbent closer Kirby Yates has struggled with a 10.38 ERA, it’s possible Pomeranz was tapped to face Dodgers lefty Max Muncy to start the frame and stayed to finish the contest. While the Padres have only five saves as a team, Pomeranz leads the squad with three. The 31-year-old southpaw has been nearly unhittable this season, holding a 0.00 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 12.3 K/9 through eight appearances. With the Friars seemingly taking a matchup-based approach to closing games, Pomeranz’ fantasy stock continues to climb. He should be rostered in all formats.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
