Consumers Energy 400: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

My palms are sweaty, knees weak, and my arms are heavy as I write this article for all you NASCAR DFS heads out there.

Kevin Harvick came out on top on Saturday, and we learned a lot about whos rolling, and who's strolling. My biggest mistake from Saturday was putting so much faith in Joey Logano, and for that, I'm truly sorry fam (thank god for playing multiple lineups).

All great streaks must come to an end sometime, and now that we know the car is too loose, we won't make the same mistake twice.

Yesterday's Recap

Another major disappointment was JTG Daughtery driver (and certified wild nacho fry boi) Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who was going to give us the gold, but disappeared after multiple restarts. Stenhouse Jr. had an incredible run early on working his way to the Top 15 after starting deep in the field. He will have another shot at making a big run on Sunday, but can we go through another massive heartbreak (probably)?

I also just wanted to take a moment to honor the incredible lyricist Marshall Mathers (Michigan Native) as we get ready for one more day of cup series racing at Michigan International Speedway. For those of you who ride with me each week, We had a decent DFS and sports betting day on Saturday, and we're coming back swinging for the fences for the Consumers Energy 400.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel

Brad Keselowski #2

(DraftKings $10,500 | FanDuel $12,200 | DK SportsBook +800)

Kes looked damn good on Saturday's cup race riding the lightning all the way to a P2 finish. There may be a debate that with him starting P19, there's no way he can carry the same momentum, but I'm willing to bet that he can. The hunger for his first Michigan win is at an all-time high, and this may be the race that he pulls it off.

Denny Hamlin #11

(DraftKings $11,100 | FanDuel $13,500 | DK SportsBook +600)

"Denny and The Bets" has been hot for me this season (so hot that I may actually make a song called Denny and The Bets) so it's a no brainer I'm throwing the cheddar at him this Sunday. Aside from betting, he's going to be a solid DFS play starting P15, and should jump to the Top 5 quickly. Joe Gibbs Racing had a solid showing all around on Saturday, but if I'm rolling with one of their drivers it's gotta be him.

Chase Elliott #9

(DraftKings $9,600 | FanDuel $11,200 | DK SportsBook +1200)

I was so angry that Elliott chose to take the high lane on Saturday's last restart, but I bet he won't make that choice again given the opportunity. Elliott will be rolling off in P14 on Sunday, and has the best speed out of all the Hendrick drivers. I'm doubling down on him this Sunday at the sportsbook, and I see him as a solid DFS play who should stick in the Top 5 when it's all said and done.

Ryan Blaney #12

(DraftKings $9,900 | FanDuel $12,000 | DK SportsBook +800 )

Blaney did enough on Saturday to pique my interest and give him a spot on the card. I know the guy has had some closing issues this season, but after having a "practice run", I see no reason why he can't finally seal the deal. He starts in P17 on Sunday, and should be one of the speed stars early with the potential to lead laps.

Kevin Harvick #4

(DraftKings $11,500 | FanDuel $14,000)

You're probably confused to see Harvick in the non-betting section of my article, but it's because his odds are trash (+250) compared to others I like. I honestly think he could win again, but I would only pull the trigger LIVE to save us (turn on my Twitter notifications @GarageGuyChase) if the ship was sinking. I dont think I need to explain why I think he's a good DFS play (it's self-explanatory).

Ryan Newman #6

(DraftKings $7,000 | FanDuel $7,200)

Newman is a driver I'm excited to play on this slate due to him starting in P28. The place differential power is strong in this one, and the recent record proves it. In his last three races starting behind P15, he's finished inside the Top 10. Make room for "Thicc Newman" this Sunday in your lineups.

Michael McDowell #34

(DraftKings $6,200 | FanDuel $5,500)

"Return of The Mac" season is back now that McDowell is back where he belongs in the starting lineup (deep in the field). McDowell will start from P29 on Sunday, and is at a solid value price. As long as he doesn't pick up any John Hunter Nemechek energy in the garage, he should leave you smiling post-race if you play him.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. #47

(DraftKings $7,300 | FanDuel $6,400)

I couldn't just not go back to Stenhouse Jr. after watching what he did on Sunday early in the race. I understand he burned us bad at the last minute, but I dont think it can happen twice (if it does I'll give you all something you won't want to miss on Monday's Garage Guys Fantasy Sports Podcast). He starts in P32 on Sunday, so go ahead and say this with me, "Ricky Will Prevail"!
