EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (6/24/20) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 6/24/20. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We finally have a decently sized EPL slate on Wednesday with five games! All of the games except for one will start at the same time too so we won't have to do a ton of guessing on starting lineups. Tuesday's games were low scoring with the only goals being a Tomas Soucek own goal and a late Harry Kane goal. Five of the slate's top six scorers were all priority plays in my breakdown article. Hopefully we can get some more action on Wednesday.

This is obviously a larger slate that any others we have had for EPL recently. We will no longer need to force in expensive plays purely due to lack of other options. With ten sides in action, there will be plenty of good plays with several different viable strategies as well. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Wednesday's slate.

With the Bundesliga completely binned on FanDuel, I will be turning my focus to solely EPL now. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/24/20 for the slate that locks at 1:00 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Wolverhampton vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth have been one of the worst teams in the league for a few months now and find themselves in the relegation zone. Wolverhampton (-1.0) will be large favorites at home in this game. They returned to play with a convincing 2-0 win against West Ham. It is not often that Wolves control a ton of possession, but they could really dominate this game. Even with a low 2.0 over/under, there aew reasons to stack some Wolves attackers in this game.

Norwich City vs Everton

Everton (-0.5) are slight favorites on the road in this game. Norwich City have one of the worst defenses in the league. They were poor last week in a 3-0 loss to Southampton. Everton's attack is a level above Southampton's, so this game could get out of hand. Everton is another team to focus on on this slate. The goal total over/under is only 2.5, but we have seen some teams struggle to score early in the EPL return. Everton can hit that over by themselves in this game.

Newcastle vs Aston Villa

Many people will completely cross this game off their list for fantasy purposes. It has a low over/under of only 2.0, and neither of these teams are desirable for the fantasy game. While it could be an even game as the spread is 0.0, there might not be much fantasy appeal. Newcastle's home defense has been good, and Villa don't score much on the road. Neither team allow that many peripherals either. With four other games on this slate, there are not going to be many recommended plays from this game.

Manchester United vs Sheffield United

The first meeting of these two teams incredibly high scoring as they drew 3-3. Manchester United (-1.0) could definitely bag three again with the way Sheffield's backline is playing. They have been strong this season, but they conceded three times to Newcastle of all teams last weekend. Neither team allow many peripherals, so it will be all about finding the goals in this game. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool (-1.5) are the slate's largest favorite on this slate. They tied Everton 0-0 in a lackadaisical Merseyside Derby last weekend. This is a good spot for them to bounceback at home. Mo Salah could make his return to the starting lineup which should give them a boost. Palace have allowed the fifth least amount of goals on the road this season. While Liverpool should win, there are not a ton of reasons to stack them with enticing matchups for Manchester United, Wolverhampton, and Everton.

*A quick note: EPL scoring on FanDuel has stayed the same as it was pre-COVID. This means that chances created are back to being worth three points and crosses will not give you any points.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Sadio Mane ($22) is an elite play on this slate. Liverpool will easily control the majority of the possession in this game which should allow Liverpool's front three plenty of chances on goal. Mo Salah ($21) is technically the slate's leading anytime scorer at -125, but he likely won't be fit for a full 90 minutes, so I'll pay another dollar for Mane whose goal odds are -111. He has more assists than Salah this season and only two fewer goals anyways. Other than using Mane as a one-off, I don't have a ton of interest in Liverpool with Crystal Palace firing on all cylinders having not conceded a goal in four straight games.

Marcus Rashford ($21) is also -111 to score in this game. Sheffield United allowed three goals to a weak Newcastle attacking group over the weekend. I'm a little wary to stack United here with Sheffield's precedent of allowing goals this season. Only Liverpool have given up fewer goals than Sheffield in the league this season, and Sheffield are currently allowing the third-fewest goals even on the road. Saving $1 and going with Bruno Fernandes ($20) over Rashford is a move that I like. Fernandes has been stellar since joining United in January. He has three goals, but he has had a floor over 20 fantasy points in all of his six games.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin ($17) joins Mane and Rashford with -111 scoring odds. He gets a prime matchup against Norwich's awful defense. Even on home turf, they are allowing 1.9 goals per game. DCL has eight goals in 12 appearances since Christmas and 20 shots on goal in that period. Norwich allowed three goals, nine shots on goal, and 13 chances created to Southampton last weekend. This kind of matchup could call for pairing Richarlison ($18) and Calvert-Lewin together.

Another team worth stacking on this slate is Wolverhampton. They are facing a Bournemouth team that is spiraling towards a season in the Championship. Bournemouth's defense has allowed 2+ goals in six of their last seven games. Wolves looked good in their first game back last weekend with a 2-0 win off goals from Raul Jimenez ($19) and substitute Pedro Neto ($13). Wolves are an easy team to stack because they are affordable and several players can have good fantasy performances in the same game. After Jimenez who is +100 to score, Adama Traore ($13) is a great secondary piece. He has seven assists this year and can create chances with his speed on the wing. Joao Moutinho ($15) has been another great piece to pair with Jimenez. His play has been down recently, but this is a tremendous matchup for him. He scored in their first meeting on his way to 34.2 FanDuel points.

If you're looking for someone a little more under the radar, Matt Ritchie ($17), Ondrej Duda ($15), and Jonjo Shelvey ($11) are solid options.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

With the sheer number of attackers in spots worth targeting on this slate, it is going to be difficult to pay up for top-tier defenders. Matt Doherty ($15) has been attacking very well for Wolves in their last few games. This is another great matchup for him, too. Obviously, Trent Alexander-Arnold ($15) is a world-class attacking back. He always plays better at home and should be able to thrive off creating chances here. They are elite pay-up options.

There are a whole host of $14 defenders that are enticing as well. None of Wily Boly ($14), Nathan Ake ($14), or Tyrone Mings ($14) have scored less than 12 FanDuel points since January and all three of them have ceilings into the 20s. It is going to be difficult to find the money for them, but they are strong plays. Lucas Digne ($14) is another good play in this price territory. He has a ton of attacking potential against a weak Norwich defense. However, he has not been too good on the road which makes him risky here.

If you don't want any low-tier attackers, you will need to find cheaper defenders on this slate. Andrew Robertson ($12) is flat-out too cheap. With Liverpool likely controlling a ton of the possession here, he should be able to create a few chances and add in some defensive peripherals. A clean sheet bonus is likely here as well. He should well outscore his price tag. Jonny ($9) and Joel Ward ($8) are good punts on this slate.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

In order to get Allison ($15) on Wednesday, you will have to punt at one of the attacking positions. However, Liverpool's defense have allowed the fewest goals in the league this season. Plus, they will be hosting Crystal Palace at home who have scored the second-fewest goals in the league so far. Allison is also the most likely GK to get the win bonus as Liverpool is the slate's largest favorite. If you can get past the price, the matchup does not get much better on paper.

Martin Dubravka ($10) is in a decent spot on Wednesday. His defense has allowed the same number of goals at home as Liverpool has. They're allowing 0.8 goals per game at home, and they'll be facing a weak Aston Villa team. Dubravka has a massive ceiling if he can keep a clean sheet. Even if he does concede, a win bonus (Newcastle are favored) and a few saves should create a nice floor for him in this game.

If you are fading Liverpool after their uninspiring performance last weekend against Everton, Vicente Guaita ($8) makes a ton of sense. He's cheap, and he should be able to make plenty of saves in this game.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
