Food City Supermarket Heroes 500: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy NASCAR Lineup Picks

The weekend has officially started, and the Bristol energy is strong! We are coming off of a historic NASCAR Cup Series race in Charlotte due to it being held on a Thursday night (what world is this?). I'm already at the point where I'm so used to this NASCAR DFS grind that I'll probably be pretending to write almost every night of the week now. Weekday racing will soon come to an end with the Cup Series returning to it's regular Sunday schedule after Martinsville on June 10th.

In the Alsco Uniforms 500, Chase Elliott went hard for the "di9" gang after unleashing Big Chase Energy in the last 20 laps. Elliott and Kyle Busch have been the big headline in NASCAR as of late, and with Bristol being one of Busch's best tracks, we could see the victory jabs continue between the two. One thing that's more important than the winner this Sunday is the fact that Food City has altered the race name to honor those working in the grocery industry throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pivoting to how things should turn out for this race, Busch and Joey Logano are two of my favorites, and have major early domination potential that will be crucial for your lineups. Bristol is a short track, so don't go overboard on some of the low priced drivers towards the rear unless you know their equipment, and driving skills can keep them close to the lead lap. Chef Boi, (Drew Deen) and I have discussed five drivers we like for this race in the new NASCAR DFS Preview Show, exclusively on RotoBaller's YouTube channel, which you should pair up along with our Premium NASCAR Tools - Lineup Optimizer, Research Station, Drew's Rankings - before setting your DFS lineups.

DFS Lineup Picks - DraftKings, FanDuel

Kyle Busch #18

(DraftKings $12,500 | FanDuel $14,000 | DK SportsBook +400)

Rowdy has been on a Twitter tangent since losing the bounty money to Chase Elliott last Tuesday night, and should be feeling the winning itch this weekend at one of his best tracks. Busch is rarely talked about in my articles due to his dominant nature, but he deserves to be mentioned this week. The Candy Man himself has won three out of the past five races at Bristol, and with him starting in P7, it's a no brainer that he'll be a top contender yet again.

Clint Bowyer #14

(DraftKings $9,800 | FanDuel $9,000 | DK SportsBook +2500)

Bowyer is my favorite place differential play for Sunday rolling off from P23. It's been a long time since Bowyer has had a bad run at this track, and I believe it's all to do with his familiarity with The Last Great Coliseum. Since 2015, Bowyer has only finished three races at this track outside of the Top 10 (Fingers crossed we get it again).

Joey Logano #22

(DraftKings $10,700 | FanDuel $11,700 | DK SportsBook +800)

Joseph L. is starting this race in P3, which is the PERFECT spot for a driver that has what it takes to lead laps, and show off his defense. Logano has great fastest lap production, and place differential at Bristol, which is something his teammate Brad Keslowski lacks starting on the pole. I fully expect Logano to show out early, and finish this race inside the Top 10.

Matt DiBenedetto #21

(DraftKings $7,100 | FanDuel $8,300 | DK SportsBook +3,300)

DiBenedetto has become one of my favorite mid-tier plays at Bristol over the last two seasons due to his place differential points, and overall driver performance. DiBenedetto finished last season's Bristol night race in second, and more than likely would have won if it wasn't for slight contact with Ryan Newman towards the end. With this driver having an equipment upgrade, I fully expect him to be consistent throughout the race, and hold P9 down (while gaining more spots along the way).

Ty Dillon #13

(DraftKings $6,100 | FanDuel $5,500 | DK SportsBook +40,000)

"Geico Dillon" has gotten way more article time from me this season than his brother "Symbicort (Austin) Dillon". Ty is one of the better low cost plays at this track, and he has proven it year after year. Dillon is a great filler that will hold it down towards the middle rear of the track starting from P29.

Bubba Wallace #43

(DraftKings $6,500 | FanDuel $4,000 | DK SportsBook +25,000)

WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB Wallace (That's Bubba Wallace to people who dont watch Rick and Morty), will be starting Sunday's race from P36, which makes him the stand-alone "Chalk Boi of The Week". Wallace averages around six place differential points at Bristol, and has an average finish of 18th. Get chalky with Bubba this Sunday for some low-cost edge.

Ryan Newman #6

(DraftKings $6,800 | FanDuel $7,700 | DK SportsBook +6,600)

I'm excited to get to write about the Rocket Man for the first time this season after the wild wreck in Daytona. Not only does Newman have a sexy paint scheme this week, but Newman has what it takes to run inside the Top 10 at this track. Expect solid place differential from the Castrol Ford Mustang on Sunday.

Christopher Bell #95

(DraftKings $7,300 | FanDuel $6,000 | DK SportsBook +15,000)

I'm ringing the bell for Christopher this weekend to put on some short-track magic at Bristol. Bell is starting from P35, and like Wallace, Bell has the whip that can get him close to the Top 20 quick. Bell is a rookie, but he does have some skill, and that gives me the confidence that he can be another solid mid-tier play starting toward the rear to combine with our dominators.
