FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/31/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Austyn Varney highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 12/31/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Welcome to NBA Tuesday night. We have four games on the board tonight, but a ton of different options to pay up for. There is value to pay down for, but we have to get it perfect in tournaments.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/31/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Give me a follow on Twitter @DFSVarney and say hello. Good luck RotoBallers, let's dive right in!

FanDuel DFS Guards

James Harden - SG, HOU vs. DEN ($11,500)

It's going to be extremely hard to fade on a four-game slate. He ended up sitting out last game with an injured toe, but has already said he plans on playing in this game. He has more upside than anyone on the slate and the match-up with Denver is far from scary. Will Barton and Gary Harris will cover Harden for most of the game and Harden has had plenty of success against both in the past. Before sitting out last game, Harden put up 74 fantasy points and was hot from beyond the arc. Harden will shoot the ball 25 times tonight and you won't find a lineup of mine without him.

Ky Bowman - PG, GS @ SA ($3,700)

With D'Angelo Russell out with an illness, Ky Bowman will slide in and play 25-30 minutes at a minimum. There's a very good shot he is well over 30 minutes, but that's just playing it safe. Bowman has the ball in his hands when on the floor and he's not afraid to shoot the ball. The Spurs aren't a scary defense and they've been willing to speed it up a bit this season. Bowman is especially cheap on FanDuel and he won't have to do much to reach value.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kevin Love - PF, CLE @ TOR ($7,300)

Kevin Love is on the trade block and the Cavs are looking to get as much as they can for the big man. Prior to sitting out last game, Love played 34 minutes in back-to-back games and put up 35+ fantasy points in four straight games. The match-up with Toronto is a great one as Pascal Siakam will remain out with a groin injury. Love should be right back to double-doubling tonight and I'm a big fan in all formats.

Alec Burks - SF, GS @ SA ($5,600)

The Warriors are going to offer up some value with D'Angelo Russell out of the lineup. Alec Burks plays a point guard role for the Warriors with Russell in the lineup and his usage is going to shoot up with him out. Expect 34+ minutes out of Burks and the match-up with Spurs isn't as bad as it may seem. They play faster this season and have some of the weakest rim protection in the entire league. Burks is far too cheap on FanDuel and a must for me in all formats with Russell out of the picture.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic - C, DEN @ HOU ($9,300)

Eclipsing 52 FanDuel points in two of his last four games, Nikola Jokic is fully back. He's not as consistent as he once was, but the huge upside is once again present and we're going to see Jokic over 50 fantasy points plenty. The Rockets are going to get the Nuggets up in pace and Jokic will be how they respond. Capela will struggle and I expect Jokic to be over 50 fantasy points.
