EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 2

It's an intriguing five-game slate for DFS Premier League soccer this weekend on FanDuel and DraftKings. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as EPL DFS lineup picks for Matchday 2 (on August 18th, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these EPL players for your DFS lineups this weekend; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

EPL DFS Forwards to Consider

Alvaro Morata - F, CHE vs ARS (DK - $7,600, FD - $9,000)

Although he had a very disappointing year last season, Morata has retained his spot as Chelsea's starting striker and has a big match coming up against an Arsenal side that will be determined to prove that they are better than their London rivals. Morata figures to slot in as the main striker in the team, although Olivier Giroud could challenge him for minutes against his former club. Consider Morata a riskier but solid option this slate due to his presence as the main forward in a strong Chelsea attacking group.

Callum Wilson - F, BOU vs WHU (DK - $6,500, FD - $7,500)

Bournemouth's main striker and club legend Callum Wilson will get a chance to add to his goals tally this weekend against a West Ham side that look good on paper but are ultimately overrated. Wilson has an eye for goal, as we saw last weekend, and should be considered a decent budget option on both FanDuel and DraftKings due to his guaranteed playing time and constant attacking threat.

EPL DFS Midfielders to Consider

Christian Eriksen - M, TOT vs FUL (DK - $10,100, FD - $11,500)

The highest priced midfielder on both sites, Eriksen is a must-own in GPP formats this weekend as he goes against a struggling Fulham side that was recently promoted to the Premier League. After Fulham lost to Crystal Palace on the opening day, Eriksen will look to take advantage of the defensive frailties of his opponents and make the most out of his playing time. Consider Eriksen a top-tier midfield option in this weekend's slate.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - M, ARS vs CHE (DK - $6,100, FD - $7,500)

A contrarian play, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been decent for Arsenal since he signed for them in January and is now playing alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Mesut Ozil, among others. "Mkhiki" is coming up against a very tough Chelsea unit that will be difficult to break down; however, low ownership levels on both sites make him a fantastic tournament option due to his ability to be a creative force down the wings for his side.

EPL DFS Defenders to Consider

Jan Vertonghen - D, TOT vs FUL (DK - $4,300, FD - $6,000)

Another Tottenham player, Vertonghen is their only defender who will be nailed on to start due to their constant rotation at the backline. Although he is a much better option on FanDuel, Vertonghen still has the ability to score goals from set pieces and should be considered more than serviceable on both sites. Ultimately, put Vertonghen in your lineups if you believe in a Fulham defeat and are predicting many set-piece opportunities throughout the game.

Ryan Bertrand - D, SOU vs EVE (DK - $4,400, FD - $5,000)

Perhaps the most nailed on Southampton defender, Ryan Bertrand operates as more of a midfielder for a team that is known for its high-paced attacking style. Coming up against an Everton side that is still trying to figure out how they will play under their new manager, Bertrand could capitalize as an out-of-position option who causes damage down the flanks against Everton this weekend, making him a solid and underrated option in this slate.

EPL DFS Goalies to Consider

Rui Patricio - G, WOL vs LEI (DK - $4,500, FD - $4,500)

Leicester demonstrated that they were rather vulnerable in defense last weekend against Manchester United, and Wolves have the ability to capitalize on that in this weekend's slate. Although there are several solid goalkeeping options this weekend, Rui Patricio brings the best value to the table as a starter who will be able to produce several saves and has a decent potential for a clean sheet this weekend. Therefore, consider Patricio an under-the-radar option at the position who has the potential to make the most of his value for fantasy owners this weekend.

Good luck this weekend!
