EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 1

Martin Konstantinov's EPL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for Matchday 1. The top daily fantasy soccer players and sleepers for the Premier League.

It's an intriguing five-game slate for DFS Premier League soccer this weekend on FanDuel and DraftKings. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as EPL DFS lineup picks for Matchday 1 (on August 11th, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these EPL players for your DFS lineups this weekend; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

EPL DFS Forwards to Consider

Aleksandar Mitrovic - F, FUL vs CRY (DK - $8,600, FD - $8,500)

Having just been sold to Fulham from Newcastle, Mitrovic will be eager to continue his run of good form from the end of last season. The big Serbian striker spent the last half-season on loan to Fulham and was a critical piece in their run for promotion from the Championship. With 12 goals in 17 games on loan, Mitrovic demonstrated why Fulham were correct in paying over $20 million for the Serbian international's services. With little competition up top, expect Mitrovic to be a locked-in starter for Fulham and make an immediate impact against a below-par Crystal Palace defense.

Raul Jimenez - F, WOL vs EVE (DK - $6,600, FD - $6,500)

Another new signing, Raul Jimenez joins Wolves from Spain's La Liga and will likely be the starting center forward for the team. Jimenez is a pacey striker who has international experience with Mexico. Given his price in this slate, Jimenez could be exactly what Wolves have been looking for in their three-headed attack featuring Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro. Expect Jimenez to score early and often - perhaps even as early as his debut against Everton.

EPL DFS Midfielders to Consider

Gylfi Sigurdsson - M, EVE vs WOL (DK - $6,400, FD - $8,500)

After a rather disappointing season at Everton, Sigurdsson has been given a second chance under a new head coach. A staple in the Icelandic national team, Sigurdsson is lethal from set pieces and has years of Premier League experience under his belt at Tottenham and Swansea. Consider Gylfi a good option against newly promoted side Wolves, especially on DraftKings where his value is more than $2,000 below his value on FanDuel.

Aaron Mooy - M, HUD vs CHE (DK - $4,700, FD - $7,000)

Huddersfield's midfield talisman, Aaron Mooy has proven to be a revelation at center mid since signing for the English outfit. Their set piece and penalty taker, Mooy is probably one of the few Huddersfield players with a chance at getting serious points from their game against Chelsea. If you are looking for a contrarian Tournament lineup option, Mooy may be the perfect player to slot in given his team's underdog status this slate.

EPL DFS Defenders to Consider

Daryl Janmaat - D, WAT vs BHA (DK - $5,100, FD - $5,500)

Watford face a weak Brighton defense in Week 1 and will look to capitalize on that fact early and often. This makes Janmaat as good of an option as any because of his consistent playing time and upside for crossing from the fullback position. Janmaat is certainly a mediocre option with a decent floor and low ownership levels, making him a good Tournament play with upside as well as a solid mid-tier GPP option.

David Luiz - D, CHE vs HUD (DK - $4,000, FD - $4,500)

Although you are taking a bit of a gamble in this selection, it is believed that David Luiz has been given a second chance under new head coach Mauricio Sarri, making the big Brazilian a perfect low-budget option on a team that is expected to win in Gameweek 1. Luiz has proven to be a fantastic goal-scoring center back when he plays and should be considered a top fantasy option should he get the start.

EPL DFS Goalies to Consider

Matt Ryan - G, BHA vs WAT (DK - $4,400, FD - $5,000)

If you are going against Watford's expected win this weekend, a good option to select would be Brighton's goalkeeper Matt Ryan. Last season, Ryan proved very capable of making several saves in a match and keeping his team in games. At his current price, Ryan is a fantastic Tournament option with GPP upside as well. If you believe in Brighton this weekend, or are simply looking for a slightly contrarian option in a strong goalkeeper pool, Matt Ryan may be the perfect player to have in your lineup for the opening slate of the 2018/19 season.

Good luck this weekend!
