World Cup DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 18

With two games in the Round of 16, today's showdowns are Brazil vs Mexico and Japan vs Belgium. Due to the multiple games being played, lineups are back to their normal constructions. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as World Cup DFS lineup picks for Matchday 18 (on July 2nd, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these players for your DFS lineups; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

WC DFS Forwards to Consider

Eden Hazard - F (MF on FanDuel), Belgium (DK - $10,100, FD - $10,500)

Although he is listed as a midfielder on FanDuel, Eden Hazard is still the best player on the slate. Hazard has performed very well last tournament and was held out of the team's third match victory against England. He should be back in the starting lineup for today's game, making him an elite option across the board and a must-own player in GPP formats. Hazard is the penalty taker for Belgium, making him an even better option in DFS contests against a very underwhelming Japan side.

Hirving Lozano - F, Mexico (DK - $6,400, FD - $7,500)

After scoring a historic goal against Germany in the Group Stage, Lozano has faded from fantasy significance over the last two weeks. However, he has still performed well on the field and has had some quality chances each week. Now, Lozano has a chance to perform well against a Brazilian defense that has been known to give up a few easy goals. Mexico has a legitimate chance to unseat Brazil in this tournament of upsets, making Lozano a good value play on both sites.

WC DFS Midfielders to Consider

Willian - M, Brazil (DK - $6,600, FD - $8,000)

Someone who has never had a decent chance at club team Chelsea but who has shined on the international stage, Willian benefits from playing alongside Gabriel Jesus and world star Neymar. Willian is as capable as anyone else on the Brazilian team of creating a scoring chance or converting one himself, and at that price on DraftKings Willian becomes a terrific value as a Tournament play.

Shinji Kagawa - M, Japan (DK - $4,900, FD - $8,000)

A great value on DraftKings, Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa is clearly one of the best players on Japan's roster. On the off-chance (or maybe not so off-chance, given how this tournament has played out) that Japan give Belgium a good game, Shinji Kagawa will be thrust into an influential position on the field today. Kagawa is one of Japan's set piece takers and, although he is a bit too pricey on FanDuel, he is a good Tournament lineup on DraftKings and could be considered in some of your lineups.

WC DFS Defenders to Consider

Thomas Meunier - D, Belgium (DK - $5,600, FD - $6,000)

On the other hand, Thomas Meunier is probably a lock to keep a clean sheet against Japan in a game where Belgium is expected to dominate. Additionally, Meunier has the attacking capabilities to create chances further up the pitch and already has an assist this tournament. Having previously played as a winger, Meunier is a good attacking threat and is appropriately priced as an elite defensive option on both sites, making him a good GPP option for today's slate.

Fagner - D, Brazil (DK - $5,200, FD - $5,000)

A good mid-tier option on both sites, Fagner has come in and played admirably for injured full back Danilo. Fagner and the Brazilian side are favorites against Mexico as one of the last giants left in the tournament Therefore, the right back should have some good crossing opportunities for Brazil's trio of superstar forwards, making him a solid high-floor option on both DraftKings and FanDuel and worthy of lineup consideration.

WC DFS Goalies to Consider

Guillermo Ochoa - G, Mexico (DK - $3,900, FD - $4,500)

It's always a good idea to chase the upside at the goalkeeper position and create value for their price. Therefore, Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is a good option against a Brazil side that, while talented, has certainly underwhelmed this tournament. Ochoa is going to have a lot of saves regardless of the result, and if he is able to keep a clean sheet, the Mexico shot-stopper has the potential to be a slate winner on both sites. Buy into Ochoa at his value price point and the belief that he will be heavily involved in a closer-than-expected encounter with Brazil.

Good luck this weekend!
