World Cup DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings: Matchday 9

With three games in Group D and E, Monday's showdowns are Brazil vs Costa Rica, Island vs Nigeria, and Switzerland vs Serbia. Due to the multiple games being played, lineups are back to their normal constructions. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as World Cup DFS lineup picks for Matchday 9 (on June 22nd, 2018).

Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.

Consider all of these players for your DFS lineups; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.

WC DFS Forwards to Consider

Gabriel Jesus - F, Brazil (DK - $8,400, FD - $11,000)

In a game where the Brazilian lineup is the clear favorite to win, having their starting center forward is a must. Especially on DraftKings, Gabriel Jesus provides good value in a game where he should find the back of the net. After a disappointing first match, Brazil needs to rebound and get a victory against a very weak Costa Rica side. Consider Jesus a must-own in GPP formats and a good overall play tomorrow.

Aleksandar Mitrovic - F, Serbia (DK - $7,700, FD - $9,500)

If you are going contrarian and don't pick up Jesus, having the Serbian striker Mitrovic is a good option in Tournament formats. Mitrovic is playing as part of a dangerous Serbian attacking force against an overrated Swiss defense. Although Switzerland is expected to make the game close, Mitrovic will still have the ability to take a couple of chances and be the main attacking outlet for his side in tomorrow's slate.

WC DFS Midfielders to Consider

Philippe Coutinho - M, Brazil (DK - $8,700, FD - $11,000)

Brazil's goalscorer in the first match, Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho had a wonderful effort and will look to replicate his performance in the team's second match. Coutinho will be expected to take on an expanded role within the team with Neymar expected to play with a knock. His involvement will be critical for Brazil's success, and he is a great option on DraftKings due to his value at his current price point.

Sergej Milinkovic-Saric - M, Serbia (DK - $4,800, FD - $9,000)

Serbia has found a new playmaker in Milinkovic-Saric, the young Lazio midfielder who has become one of the main attackers for his national side. Although he is fairly priced on FanDuel, he is being ridiculously undervalued on DraftKings and has the ability to score or assist in tomorrow's game against Switzerland. He should be a locked-in starter on any DraftKings contest and a good option on FanDuel as well.

WC DFS Defenders to Consider

Fagner - D, Brazil (DK - $5,000, FD - $4,500)

Simply because he is the cheaper fullback to Marcelo and is standing in for the injured Danilo, Fagner is a good option on a Brazil backline that is expected to have a relatively easy time out against Costa Rica. Fagner has good crossing ability and may be able to get an assist, which coupled with his team's solid outlook from a defensive perspective makes him a perfect selection in GPP formats as well as Tournament lineups because of his probable low ownership level.

Hördur Björgvin Magnússon - D, Iceland (DK - $4,400, FD - $5,000)

A contrarian play in tomorrow's lineups, Iceland defender Magnusson is an interesting option as the best Icelandic defender. Iceland face Nigeria in tomorrow's game, and although goals could fly in the game, Iceland has the ability to shut down on defense and ensure a clean sheet. That, plus Magnusson's ability to move further up the pitch, makes him a good Tournament play, especially on DraftKings.

WC DFS Goalies to Consider

Francis Uzoho - G, Nigeria (DK - $4,700, FD - 4,500)

On the other hand, if you believe that Nigeria will be heavy favorites in tomorrow's game against their Northern European opponents, rostering their goalkeeper is probably a good decision. Uzuho is available at a very good price on both DraftKings and FanDuel and therefore is a good option for your lineups tomorrow. Therefore, you should consider Uzoho over other options like Alisson from Brazil simply due to the price-for-value comparison between the two options.

Good luck this weekend!
