Fantasy Premier League Lineup Picks - Gameweek 29 EPL Preview

Martin provides his recommended lineup picks for the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Draft and Gameweek 29. Target these EPL players in your fantasy lineups.

One of the fastest growing fantasy games is the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) - a season-long version of fantasy soccer for the English Premier League (EPL). With almost six million players this year, the FPL game is becoming a fixture for soccer enthusiasts across the globe.

Here at RotoBaller, we will try to give you the best analysis possible so that you can beat your friends and take on the rest of the world by managing your team in the fantasy version of the beautiful game.

Here is the team analysis and lineup picks for fantasy drafts heading into Gameweek 29. At the end of the day, remember to make the decision you feel is best for the team. Good luck, and enjoy!

The Ones To Buy This Week - Fantasy Premier League

Andrew Robertson - D, Liverpool (Price: 4.8M)

Since starting the last six weeks, Robertson has put up six points in half of those contests. The young fullback has been the starting option for Liverpool for most of the season, making him an ideal candidate to finish the season strong as the number one player in his position. Furthermore, Liverpool have a relatively easy schedule to close out the season and play in Gameweek 31 (where many teams have a bye). This makes Robertson a very intriguing option at the position and someone who you could arguably bring in for a more expensive option currently in your lineup and free up some extra transfer funds to facilitate a tier-jump at another position in your rosters.

Glenn Murray - F, Brighton (Price: 5.7M)

The Brighton club hero has made a name for himself in recent weeks, with five goals in his last seven outings for the club including two in Gameweek 28. Murray has performed above expectations on the season, notching his highest Premier League tally with 10 goals. Brighton are currently sitting four points above the drop and have a mixed bag of fixtures to close out the season. However, with the way that Murray has been performing, it makes sense to consider adding him to your rosters, even if he regresses closer to the mean following his rich vein of form.

Keep Your Eye On Him

Alvaro Morata - F, Chelsea (10.4M)

After a very rocky last few months in which the Spanish forward was injured and dealt with some personal issues, Morata made a return to Chelsea's starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes in their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United. Although Chelsea brought in Olivier Giroud to serve as a backup option for Morata, he should not be considered a substantial threat to Morata's playing time. With Chelsea needing all of the points that they can get at this point late in the season, it remains to be seen how their form will translate given the situation that the team is under. However, Morata should be considered integral in any success that the team has given that he is their marquee option up front. Keep an eye on him for the next few weeks, as he could be an excellent buy candidate for the final games of the season, where it matters most.

Offload Him Now

Willian - M, Chelsea  (6.8M)

Although the Brazilian winger has been a very solid option for Chelsea this season with five goals and seven assists in the Premier League, Willian has yet to find consistent playing time this season. With just a few starts in this last run of games, the Brazilian has produced in limited opportunities. However, as it is coming down to the closing portion of the season, Willian is presented as a high risk player who is not guaranteed a full-time role in the squad and has been known to have some dud performances on occasion. There are better options out there who have a higher chance to close out the season strongly than Willian.

Potential Replacements: Xerdan Shaqiri (6.2M), Mark Albrighton (5.6M)

RotoBaller Weekly XI

Team (Prices May Be Over 100M):

GK: Nick Pope (4.7M)
DF: Ben Davies (5.6M), Andrew Robertson (4.8M), Laurent Koscielny (6M), Jamaal Lascelles (4.7M)
MF: Eden Hazard (10.7M), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (7.7M), Xerdan Shaqiri (6.2M), Mark Albrighton (5.6M)
FW: Roberto Firmino (9.3M), Sergio Aguero (12M)

Analysis:

Going with a 4-4-2 this week, we see Hazard and Aguero maintain their spots in the lineup after a very nice run of form from both players in recent weeks. Out of the backline are four starters capable of having clean sheets this weekend, and Firmino joins Aguero up top as part of an all-star attacking force that sees two strikers capable of earning double-digit points in any given week. Aguero has a propensity to score in big games, so he gets the nod ahead of the likes of Harry Kane (12.9M), who is also a solid option given his matchup against Huddersfield. At the back, Lascelles is a cost-effective option at the position that mitigates the risk of an upset against Robertson's Liverpool (although to really maximize your potential you'd go with one or the other and then target a different matchup).

That's all for this week - good luck!
