DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks - Week 2 Picks

Joe Flacco - BAL vs CLE (DK $5,200)

Flacco had a very quiet first week, and didn't really need to do a whole lot to help the Ravens win. Their defense had three interceptions, which put them in good spots, so Flacco didn't have to air the ball out. He had one touchdown, one interception, and only nine completions last week. Flacco is facing off against the Browns who have the 23rd DVOA against the pass, which puts Flacco in a good spot. For his price, we don't need to see him come out and light up the board with scoring, but somewhere around 15 DraftKings points would be good. He is a good cash option this week, since he brings plenty of salary savings and will allow you to fit in top running backs and receivers.

Matt Ryan - ATL vs GB (DK $7,500)

The Falcons have the fourth highest implied team total of the week at 28 points, and the game over under is 53.5 points, which is second highest. According to Vegas, this is going to be a shootout, and with Ryan who averaged over 300 yards at home last year. He is one of the highest priced quarterbacks on the slate, and is up against Green Bay who has the 7th DVOA against the pass. It was only one week, so take all stats you see with a grain of salt. Ryan has three touchdown upside any time he is at home, so he makes a great tournament option, and great to stack with Julio Jones, if you can afford them both.

DraftKings DFS Running Backs - Week 2 Picks

Kerwynn Williams - ARI @ IND (DK $4,800)

With Davis Johnson going out with injury, Williams was announced as the starting running back for the Cardinals. He is cheap, and will be seeing the majority of the snaps, which makes him playable in all formats. The Cardinals are up against the Colts, who are truly terrible on defense, so the game script suggest they will be running the ball a lot in the second half, and Williams stands to gain from that. He did have one touchdown last week, but it was after Johnson was out of the game, so hopefully he can replicate that production, and more in a full time tole. The Colts have the 7th DVOA against the rush, but seems a bit too high, and their true colors will show throughout the season.

Leonard Fournette - JAX vs TEN (DK $6,500)

Fournette had an amazing debut in Week 1, he finished with 26 carries, 100 yards, and one touchdown. Really strong numbers for the rookie, against what was supposed to be a strong Texans defense. Fournette is at home for the first time, against the Titans, who have the 19th DVOA against the run. Expect to see the ball in Fournette's hands plenty not only this game, but for the coming weeks. With Allen Robinson going out with an injury, they will rely on the run game more, which means plenty of chances to rack up points. If his carries stay at the level they were, he is certainly cash game viable due to the volume he will see.

DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers - Week 2 Picks

Julio Jones - ATL vs GB (DK $9,200)

Jones is the second most expensive option at wide receiver this week, but is in a spot to have a huge game. Julio finished with just 66 yards in Week 1, and last season he always seemed bounce back after having less than 70 yards. In those game following a sub 70 yard performance, Jones put up, 5-106-1, 12-300-1, 7-139-1, 8-111-1, 7-113-0, and 7-96-1. Monster numbers for him, and if you can afford to pair him with Matt Ryanyou should be in a good spot to put up big points. Jones has legit two touchdown upside, and in a game where the over under is set at 53.5 points, there should be plenty of back and forth action, and time for him to hit value.

Mike Evans - TB vs CHI (DK $7,700)

Evans didn't play last week due to the hurricane, so this this is his first action this season. So if you like a good story line, then the Bucs at home, in their first game after the hurricane is something you want to take a look at. Evans is a PPR machine when it comes to the fantasy world, and is a top target for Jameis Winston. If the final seven games of last season, Evans saw 65 total targets, over nine a game. Expect much more of the same this entire season, and especially this game, since they are up against the Bears who have the 28th DVOA against the pass. Evans is viable in all formats.

DraftKings DFS Tight Ends - Week 2 Picks

Kyle Rudolph - MIN @ PIT (DK $4,200)

Tight end is a spot where most DFS players like to save some money, so let's look at Rudolph, who is a middle of the road option. He had three catches on three targets for 26 yards and one touchdown on Monday night. Most of the passing for the Vikings went to the wide receivers, but against a better defense this week in the Steelers, Bradford may check the ball down more and go with his safe option. The Steelers have the 23rd DVOA against tight ends, which makes Rudolph a good play for cash games.

DraftKings DFS Defenses - Week 2 Picks

Oakland Raiders vs New York Jets (DK $3,500)

The Raiders aren't viewed among the top defenses in the league this year, but they have a very favorable match up this week. They are at home against the Jets, who have one of the worse offenses in the league. Last week the Jets gave up two interceptions and one sack. With the pressure the Raiders can bring on the pass rush, expect them to have plenty of chance to either sack the quarterback, or force him into rushed throws, which will hopefully lead to interceptions. The Raiders are the fifth most expensive defense on the slate, and are in a spot to put up 15 plus points.
