NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - FanDuel Advice for 3/30/15

All throughout the 2014-15 NBA campaign, RotoBaller will be analyzing the top NBA DFS lineup picks and providing our expert advice for the best sleepers at the guard, forward and center positions. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for March 30th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editors Note: If you have not tried out FanDuel 1-day fantasy basketball leagues, RotoBaller offers the best bonuses around. Signup and make a deposit for a new FanDuel account, and receive a 100% bonus on your deposit up to $200.

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

Worth the FanDuel Investment

LaMarcus Aldridge (POR, F) - $9,500

Despite missing some games due to nagging injuries, Aldridge has been mighty productive this year. His numbers lately have been no exception. A double-double machine, Aldridge has been taking the reigns of the Portland Trailblazers offense. Between his ability to score major points and his 10.4 rebounds per game, Aldridge is a fantasy all-star right now. At this point, it doesn’t matter who he is playing. However, the Phoenix Suns make Aldridge an even more enticing option than usual. Roll with him while he’s hot, and hope he doesn’t get injured.

Rudy Gobert (UTA, C) - $8,400

Gobert’s price has continued to climb ever since Enes Kanter left for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has been a rebounding machine, and has scored enough in the past month to justify his rising price. With Derrick Favors questionable on Monday after not playing Saturday, Gobert should get more shots than usual. I will take most big men against the injury-riddled Minnesota Timberwolves, so this combination is too sweet to pass up. Confidently put Gobert in your FanDuel lineup Monday night.

Safer DFS Bargains

These NBA players are on the cheaper side, but you can expect some solid DFS production from them with the potential for star-like numbers.

DeMar DeRozan (TOR, G) - $7,500

While Kyle Lowry has been dealing with his back spasms, DeRozan has been running the offense. Although his scoring fluctuates from night to night, DeRozan has shown that he can fill up any stat box on any given night. In what should be a high-scoring game against the Houston Rockets, I expect DeRozan to do whatever he can to boost his team in the Eastern Conference playoff race. That usually results in a very pretty stat line. If Kyle Lowry is cleared to play, DeRozan’s stock does fall a touch. However, I’m still confident he will have an above average night on Monday, and his price gives you great value.

Kemba Walker (CHA, G) - $7,500

I put Walker in this same category exactly a week ago. Although his price has risen slightly, he still hasn’t pushed past the “bargain” point for me. For a talented point guard who can score, pass, and rebound, Walker is still very reasonably priced. The Hornets will play the Boston Celtics on Monday night, and I expect Walker to continue to be first or second on the team in shots and minutes played. Until his price tells me no, I see Walker as great value, especially with a good matchup.

Josh Smith (HOU, F) - $6,500

Although Dwight Howard is making a healthy return so far, the Rockets are having some injury trouble in the front court. Given more responsibility, Smith has really stepped up the past couple of games, and I expect that to continue on Monday. As a guy who seems to be everywhere when he’s on the court, Smith should thrive in the fast-paced matchup against the Toronto Raptors. Look for him to land another double-double along with his nightly handful of blocks and steals.

High Risk, High Reward

These inexpensive DFS picks are more trained for the tournament players. If you need to stand out from a crowd, these guys have the potential to hit 30 FDP. On the other hand, don’t be surprised if they come up well short of that mark.

Jordan Clarkson (LAL, G) – $6,500

When Jeremy Lin was forced to miss Sunday’s game due to an illness, Clarkson stepped up and led the team with 35 minutes played. Although I do expect Lin to play Monday night, the work Clarkson has put in from the shooting guard position has been very encouraging. As I have said on past posts, Clarkson will continue to receive major minutes to gain NBA experience. With the Philidelphia 76ers on the schedule for Monday, he should continue his consistent FanDuel production as a very reasonable price.

Corey Brewer (HOU, F) - $5,100

Brewer has become more and more fantasy relevant lately due to Patrick Beverley’s injury. Acting as the Rocket’s sixth man, he has been extremely efficient shooting. Brewer usually won’t see 30 minutes of game time (hence the reason he’s in this category), but he does enough in his 20-25 minutes to have value at his FanDuel price. I’ve made reference multiple times to the anticipated fast pace of this game, and Brewer’s minutes should benefit from that. If he ends up being one of the fillers who fit into your lineup on Monday, you can feel pretty good about taking a flier on Brewer.

Avoid At All Costs

If it were up to me, these players would have a 0% usage.

Ersan Ilyasova (MIL, F) - $5,900

Ilyasova shined bright Thursday night when he dropped 34 points in the only game on the schedule. With that in mind, a lot of FanDuel players might try to put him in their lineups, anticipating his next big explosion. That’s why I’m here. Ilyasova has been widely inconsistent with his scoring and rebounding numbers this season. Not to mention, he rarely sees the 34 minutes of game time that he did on Thursday thanks to Milwaukee’s front court depth. In fact, Ilyasova is averaging just 22.2 mpg this year. To top it all off, he’s facing the ruthless Atlanta Hawks defense that just received a rest on Saturday night. Save yourself the frustration, and find a better option at forward for Monday night.
