Week 4 SNF Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker (quad) is currently listed as questionable to play in his team's Week 4 matchup against the Detroit Lions due to a quad injury. The 24-year-old suffered the injury during Carolina's Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns and was forced to leave the game. He did not practice on Wednesday, but was able to log limited practice sessions on both Thursday and Friday.
If Coker can play against Detroit, he could be set up for a monster week. The third-year wideout has been excellent when healthy so far this season, recording 16 catches for 204 yards and two touchdowns on 18 targets across his first two games.
The Lions' defense has also been atrocious against the pass, allowing over 325 passing yards per game through the first three weeks of the season. If Coker is active, he profiles as a solid WR2 option for fantasy managers in Week 4.
Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has not quite gotten going in the early part of the 2026 season, recording 10 catches for 127 yards and zero touchdowns on 17 targets across three games. The 25-year-old has taken a back seat in his team's passing game so far, ranking fourth on the Lions in targets behind wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, and tight end Sam LaPorta.
As long as all of Detroit's main pass-catchers stay healthy, Williams may have trouble providing fantasy managers with consistent production. Still, Williams' big-play ability makes him a threat to go off in any given week. Week 4 might be a decent time for fantasy managers to bet on Williams, as he will take on the Carolina Panthers.
Carolina has allowed the fifth-fewest yards per pass attempt (6.1) in the NFL through three weeks, but they also placed starting cornerbacks Jaycee Horn (quad) and Mike Jackson (groin) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday. In a relatively favorable matchup on paper, Williams profiles as a high-end WR3/flex option for fantasy managers in Week 4.
Darren Waller, Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers' receiver room is battling injuries, but tight end Darren Waller should see more targets in Week 4. Waller was dealing with a toe injury leading up to Week 4, but was off the injury list and a full practice participant on Friday.
The veteran has hauled in 10 receptions on 13 targets for 112 yards this season, and his target share should spike in Week 4 since receiver Xavier Legette (knee) is out and Jalen Coker (quad) is questionable to play. Detroit has struggled to contain tight ends this season and is allowing a league-high 299.3 passing yards per game. Even if Coker plays, Waller is a priority streaming option against a struggling Detroit D.
Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
Across three games so far in 2026, Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has recorded 14 catches for 144 yards and a touchdown on 19 targets. The 25-year-old is coming off his least productive game of the young season, as he recorded just three catches for 44 yards on four targets against the New York Jets. However, LaPorta will have a chance to bounce back in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers had a tough time containing Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. in Week 3, allowing him to record 51 receiving yards and two touchdowns on nine targets. Carolina's potent passing offense should also be able to move the ball against the Lions' struggling secondary, which could lead to a high-scoring, pass-heavy game script for both teams.
As long as Detroit quarterback Jared Goff continues to throw the ball at his current rate (36.3 pass attempts per game), LaPorta has a chance for big production. He profiles as a solid TE1 option for fantasy managers in Week 4.
Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan could get more work in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, which could help him rebound from a quiet Week 3 performance. McMillan caught just 2-of-5 targets for a measly 17 yards in a 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but his target share should go up with fellow wideout Xavier Legette (knee) ruled out and Jalen Coker (quad) listed as questionable.
Detroit's passing defense is allowing a league-high 299.3 yards per game, which opens the door for Bryce Young to find McMillan downfield early and often. The former first-round pick is a high-upside WR2 in Week 4.
