Get Thunder Dan Palyo's top MLB best bets and player props for Wednesday, 6/24/26. Expert picks powered by the Novig betting exchange -- see today's highest-value plays. Win more with RotoBaller's expert betting advice.

Good morning, baseball fans and sports bettors! Welcome back to another full MLB slate betting breakdown, and buckle up, because this is the biggest MLB card that I have put out in this article this year!

If you're reading this, I'll assume you also bet on baseball regularly. Today's picks will all be using the odds on the most unique and fastest-growing sports prediction sites -- Novig. If you're not familiar with the site, I'll explain how it works and provide some of my favorite wagers to place on Novig.

As always, make sure you're following RotoBaller on X and download the RotoBaller app for all your fantasy baseball and betting needs. Now, here are some of my favorite MLB bets and player props for Wednesday's games.

Featured Promo: New Novig users get a $25 purchase match (50% discount up to $25) on your first Novig deposit, and 6 free months of RotoBaller's "Big-4" Premium Pass (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL) which includes exclusive tools for Betting, Props, DFS and more! CLAIM IT NOW

What is Novig?

Novig is one of the fastest-growing peer-to-peer sports prediction markets. On Novig, users trade directly with each other, without the "vig" typically associated with a sportsbook. The vig is the fee sportsbooks charge to use their services. It's a hidden cost in the odds offered on each side of a specific bet. When a book offers -110 odds on both sides of a bet, it is keeping close to 10% of every bettor's wager, regardless of whether you win or lose.

On Novig, users trade with each other on the outcomes of sporting events, similarly to the way that investors trade on the stock market. But instead of having to beat the books, you just have to win against other users -- the site keeps no commission.

Users can bet on most traditional sports markets, including moneyline bets, spreads, totals, player props, parlays, and futures!

Novig operates with two virtual currencies. Novig coins can be wagered for fun and to test out strategies, while Novig cash can be wagered on all markets and then redeemed for real cash prizes.

Access to Novig is widespread; it's now accessible in 36 U.S. states.

How Does Novig Work?

Since users are not playing against the books, there is an opportunity to make more money per wager you win, and users can usually find better value on bets (in terms of the prices offered) than on traditional sportsbooks.

There are no oddsmakers; users dictate their own odds. You can either accept the odds the market offers or set your own odds. If you set your own odds, another user has to accept them on the other side for the bet to be activated. Users drive the market, not the sportsbook or oddsmakers!

NRFI (No Runs First Inning) Bets

All odds are from Novig and were accurate as of 7:30 AM ET

Pittsburgh at Seattle: UNDER 0.5 runs - 1st Inning Total (-117)

This game features one of the best pitching matchups of the day as Bryan Woo and Braxton Ashcraft face off against each other, yet we are getting this NRFI at very reasonable odds.

Woo has an impressive 13-2 NRFI record this season, while Ashcraft has been quite effective in his own right with a 14-1 record. Both guys have solid strikeout stuff as well (more on that later) and the ability to get out of jams even if they do allow a baserunner or two.

MLB Over/Under Bets

PHI at WAS OVER 9.5 runs (-106)

These two teams combined for 23 runs yesterday, and it's hard not to like this game today for a bunch of runs, too. Aaron Nola faces Miles Mikolas in the pitching matchup, and both pitchers are no longer the best versions of themselves at this stage of their careers.

The Phillies have gone over 10 runs in six of their last 10 games, and in six of Nola's last 10 starts, too. Meanwhile, the Nationals have gone over a 10-run total in four of Mikolas's six starts, averaging 13 total runs in those games.

MLB Team Totals

Arizona Diamondbacks OVER 4.5 runs (-102)

I like targeting the Arizona offense against LHP, and today they'll face a southpaw as Matthew Liberatore of the St. Louis Cardinals takes the bump. The Snakes are averaging 5.7 runs per game when the opposing team starts an LHP, going for five or more runs in seven of those ten games.

Liberatore is a very hittable pitcher, too. He's allowed three or more runs in three straight starts, while the Cardinals as a team have surrendered five or more runs in seven of his last ten starts.

Prop Bet Picks

All odds are from Novig and were accurate as of 7:30 AM ET

Eury Perez OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-104)

Perez returns from the IL today to face the Rangers. We won't see him at 4.5 strikeouts again this season, and even though he will probably have a pitch count, he has the type of strikeout stuff to get five Ks in four or five innings. He's whiffed at least five hitters in 10 of 12 starts this year.

Jacob deGrom OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-111)

On the other side of that matchup is deGrom going up against a young Marlins lineup. The veteran righty is coming off a 9-strikeout game against the Padres. He pitched through a bad first inning and still crushed his prop, and I have a hard time not betting on him against inferior lineups anytime we get good odds at 6.5.

Tanner Bibee OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+100)

Bibee has been on a roll lately with 15 strikeouts across his last two starts. He has some pretty severe K splits this year, with a K-rate that is 10% higher against lefties, and will see six of them in the Chicago lineup today.

Bryan Woo OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+100)

Woo has been really good in terms of strikeouts lately, going for six or more Ks in six of his last eight starts. The Pirates are a pretty favorable matchup at 23.3% K% to RHP over the last two weeks, so I am rolling with Woo at these odds.

Braxton Ashcraft OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-150)

A lot more juice on Ashcraft's K prop in this game, but I am still confident in his strikeout ability. He's coming off a strong 7-strikeout performance against a good Athletics lineup and will be on the right side of his splits here as he'll face seven lefties in the Mariners' lineup.

Tarik Skubal OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-122)

Skubal didn't take long to get back to top form as he whiffed eight White Sox in his second start after returning from his injury. The Yankees are a boom/bust matchup, but there are plenty of strikeouts in this lineup if Skubal has his good stuff.

Trey Yesavage OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-113)

Houston's strikeout rate has been trending down after being a very K-prone lineup for much of the season. But I'm all about attacking them with Yesavage today, as he has a 27.6% K% against RHH and will face seven or even eight righties in the Houston lineup.

Shane Drohan OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-153)

I debated as to whether I should include Drohan or Ranger Suarez today, as both pitchers are set at 4.5 strikeouts in good spots, but with a lot of juice. Suarez is up around -160 or shorter, so I'll skip him for now, but I think I can stomach Drohan around -150 against Cincinnati.

Drohan has been quite good since entering the Milwaukee rotation, and the Reds are striking out at an alarming rate lately. That lineup is just loaded with very K-prone hitters.

Gage Jump OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-138)

Jump has a tough matchup tonight against the Giants, but he's been good for five strikeouts or more in all but one of his starts since being promoted this year. He has very good stuff, and I think he's just scratching the surface of his strikeout potential with a 22% K% and 11.3% SwStr%.

Joe Ryan OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-133)

Dare we go against the Dodgers tonight? Why not? Joe Ryan has been fantastic now for the last month or longer, and has six or more strikeouts in six of his last seven starts. The Dodgers have also struck out six or more times against four of the last six RHP they have faced recently.
