New York Knicks forward/center Karl-Anthony Towns recorded an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double as the team kicked off the 2026 NBA Finals with a 105-95 road win over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Towns also had four assists and one block, going 7-for-15 from the field. He missed both attempts from three-point land but was a perfect 4-for-4 with his free throws. In the Finals, Towns faces a tough matchup against Victor Wembanyama, but he played well in Game 1. This could give him additional confidence for the rest of the series.--Taavi Pailk
