Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Klay Thompson (adductor) did not return to Sunday's game against the Thunder after sustaining a right-adductor contusion in the second quarter. Thompson finished with seven points and one assist in 14 minutes before being ruled out. His absence leaves second-unit wing minutes up for grabs, and A.J. Johnson stepped into a larger workload with 23 minutes, six points, four rebounds, four assists, and one steal in the loss. If Thompson is sidelined, Johnson should get the first crack at those minutes, but he is still more of a gamble than a lock. Max Christie should continue to handle steady minutes, while Khris Middleton is the safer bet for consistent touches and secondary scoring if Dallas tightens the rotation.--Brian Dailisan
