Week 15 of the NHL campaign is in the books, and it's time to update our power rankings once again. On Sunday evening, we saw another major trade go down as the Golden Knights bolstered their blue line, adding Calgary defenseman Rasmus Andersson.

This week, we saw the Bruins and Golden Knights continue to extend their hot streaks while the Rangers appear to be in free-fall with top winger Artemi Panarin on the trade block.

All statistics and team records mentioned are updated as of Monday, January 19. Who were the biggest risers and fallers from this past week? Let's dive in!

No. 32 - Vancouver Canucks

Last Week Ranking - 32

The Canucks continue to hold the bottom spot on our list. After dropping three straight last week, they saw this streak reach four games on Saturday, falling to a 0-4 showing this past week. During these four games, the Canucks scored just five total goals and allowed a hefty 18 goals.

They enter Week 16 with a 0-8-2 record over their last 10 and a league-low 37 points. They are the only club yet to reach 40 points and remain in the basement.

No. 31 - Chicago Blackhawks

Last Week Ranking - 27

The Blackhawks began to make some progress earlier this month and were starting to separate themselves from this lower tier. Unfortunately, Connor Bedard and company dropped all three games during their Week 15 homestand, resulting in a slight dip in our rankings. They fell to the Oilers, Flames, and Bruins by a combined score of 12-4.

Since returning from his shoulder injury, Bedard has yet to find the back of the net (four games) but has added three helpers with 16 total shots on goal.

No. 30- Winnipeg Jets

Last Week Ranking - 31

The Jets capped off last week with an impressive 4-3 victory over the Devils that pushed their win streak to two games. They stayed hot to open Week 15, picking up a 5-4 victory over the Islanders on Tuesday and then an impressive 6-2 victory over the high-powered Wild on Thursday.

However, their streak ended against the Maple Leafs in a 4-3 overtime loss on Saturday. They now carry an improving 4-4-2 record over their last 10 and sit just below the .500 mark at 19-22-6. Center Mark Scheifele spearheaded the offense this week, scoring one goal and dishing out five helpers.

No. 29 - St. Louis Blues

Last Week Ranking - 30

The Blues were riding a three-game losing streak into the week but snapped it with a shocking 3-0 shutout victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. They then stayed hot defense against another Eastern heavyweight, the Tampa Bay Lightning, in a shootout on Friday.

On Sunday, their brief two-game winning streak was quickly snapped at the hands of the Oilers in a crushing 5-0 defeat. The Blues hold an underwhelming 4-6 record over their last 10 and sit with 46 points, placing them fourth in the entire league. Their 120 goals scored remain the worst mark in the lead heading into Week 16.

No. 28 - Calgary Flames

Last Week Ranking - 26

The Flames ended Week 14 with an impressive 2-1 victory over the Penguins, but saw their momentum stalled by the Blue Jackets (5-3) on Tuesday night. However, the Flames bounced back, taking down the Blackhawks (3-1) on Thursday and then defeating the Eastern-heavyweight Islanders (4-2) on Saturday.

Mikael Backlund and Yegor Sharangovich both netted two goals this week and combined for a total of nine points. The Flames carry a 5-5 record over their last 10 into the new week.

No. 27 - New York Rangers

Last Week Ranking - 23

The Rangers carried a three-game losing streak into Week 15 and saw this number reach five following a loss to the Kraken on Monday (4-2) and an embarrassing 8-4 loss to the Senators on Wednesday. While they got back on track, taking down the Flyers on Saturday, they remain near the bottom of our rankings.

They have won just two games over their last 10 and are heading towards a retool. With Panarin emerging as a potential trade candidate before the deadline, expect this team to begin looking toward the future. The lone bright spot this week was center Mika Zibanejad, who scored four goals and added two assists.

No. 26 - Columbus Blue Jackets

Last Week Ranking - 29

The Blue Jackets ended last week with a victory over the Utah Mammoth (3-2) and continued to roll in Week 15, picking up all six points over their three games. On Tuesday, they took down the Flames (5-3) and then took down the slumping Canucks (4-1) on Thursday. Their week ended with a shootout victory over the Penguins on Saturday evening.

Their four-game win streak has given them a nice boost in the standings, and they are now within reach of the logjam in the Eastern playoff picture. Norris Trophy candidate Zach Werenski has continued to spark this club, tallying another five points (over three games) this week.

No. 25 - Anaheim Ducks

Last Week Ranking - 28

The Anaheim Ducks entered Week 15 in free-fall. After a promising start, the Ducks quickly found themselves near the bottom of not only our rankings but the entire Western Conference. However, they rebounded well this week, picking up all six possible points and getting themselves back on track.

During these three victories (over the Stars and Kings twice), the Anaheim offense scored eight goals and allowed just four. Netminder Lukas Dostal led the way in two of these victories, stopping 50 of the 53 shots he saw. If the 25-year-old can rekindle his early-season form, the Ducks can find themselves back in the playoff picture before the Olympic break.

No. 24 - New Jersey Devils

Last Week Ranking - 24

The Devils needed points this week and tallied four of the possible six to gain some footing in the standings. They opened the week with a two-game winning streak against the Minnesota Wild and Seattle Kraken. However, on Saturday, the Hurricanes would take them down 4-1 to end their week.

The Devils enter the new week carrying an underwhelming 24-22-2 record with a 4-6 record over their last 10. After tallying only four points over his first eight games post-injury, Jack Hughes has begun to find his footing, tallying six points (all helpers) over his last five.

No. 23 - Los Angeles Kings

Last Week Ranking - 20

The Kings had a busy four-game slate this week, but were unable to get in the win column in any of them. Fortunately for the Kings, they forced overtime in three of the games and escaped with three points. Their one regulation loss came on Monday at the hands of the Stars.

Over their last two, they carry a modest 3-3-4 record, but remain in the middle of the pack, given their ability to earn overtime points. Their scoring remains a serious concern, with 125 total goals, placing them among the second-fewest in the sport, only above the Blues.

No. 22 - Ottawa Senators

Last Week Ranking - 25

The Senators entered Week 15 in a four-game losing streak and were quickly falling to the bottom of the Eastern Conference. However, they turned into a solid week and remain "in the hunt." They opened the week with a much-needed 2-1 victory over the Canucks and stayed hot, taking down the Rangers (8-4) at MSG.

They then fell to the high-powered Canadiens (5-4) in OT on Saturday and saw a similar result, falling to the Red Wings in overtime on Sunday evening. The Senators carry a 4-4-2 record over their last 10 and 51 total points into Week 16.

No. 21 - Nashville Predators

Last Week Ranking - 22

The Predators continued to hold their own with another 2-1 week and remain just outside the Western Conference playoff picture. They began their week with two victories, taking down the Oilers (4-3) in overtime on Thursday and then defeating the top team in the sport, the Avalanche, by a commanding 7-3 score on Friday.

However, the Golden Knights would snap their three-game winning streak with a tough 7-2 loss on Saturday. Defenseman Roman Josi filed the statsheet this week, scoring two goals and dishing out five assists.

No. 20 - Seattle Kraken

Last Week Ranking - 18

Following several strong weeks, the Kraken were due for some regression. In Week 15, the Kraken began with a 4-2 victory over the Ranges at MSG but would drop their last three games. On Wednesday, they fell to the Devils in overtime, then dropped their final two in regulation to the Bruins and Mammoth.

Seattle will carry a solid 5-3-2 record over their last 10 into the next week. Jared McCann continues to lead the offense, tallying 10 points over 10 games since the new year, with four goals and six assists.

No. 19 - Utah Mammoth

Last Week Ranking - 21

After a somewhat inconsistent stretch in December and the early part of January, the Mammoth have been one of the hottest teams in the sport and are surging in the Western Conference. In Week 15, the Mammoth went 3-0, taking down the Maple Leafs, Stars, and Kraken by a combined 14-5 score. They hit the six-goal mark in two games (against the Leafs and Kraken) and held the elite Dallas offense to just one goal.

They have now won seven games over their last 10 and only dropped two games in regulation during this recent surge. Defenseman Nate Schmidt enjoyed an impressive showing this week, scoring two goals and earning an additional three assists.

No. 18 - San Jose Sharks

Last Week Ranking - 19

The Sharks had a small two-game slate as they spent most of the week traveling out East. They began Week 15 with a tilt in D.C. and took down the Capitals 3-2. However, their fortunes would flip on Friday, as they fell to the Red Wings (4-2) in Detroit.

Despite the tough loss to the Red Wings, the Sharks have picked up seven victories over their last 10 games (with only three regulation losses) and remain in the heart of the playoff picture. MVP candidate Macklin Celebrini has scored nine goals and added 19 assists over his last 15 games.

No. 17 - Philadelphia Flyers

Last Week Ranking - 11

Netminder Dan Vladar was the backbone of this squad. With Vladar now on the shelf with an undisclosed injury, the Flyers could find themselves out of the playoff picture in the near future. After dropping their final two games last week, the Flyers saw their struggles extend as they dropped all four games in Week 15 in regulation.

During these games, they allowed 29 goals and only 9. They now sit with a 22-17-8 record heading into the new week and on the wrong side of the Eastern Conference logjam.

No. 16 - Florida Panthers

Last Week Ranking - 17

The Panthers began the week with a massive 4-3 victory over their divisional foe, the Buffalo Sabres, as they looked to continue to climb the Eastern standings. While they took a tough 9-1 loss to the Hurricanes on Friday night, they rebounded well on Saturday, taking down the Capitals (5-2).

They carry a 5-4-1 record over their last 10 and remain just a game behind several teams in the wild card race, including the Penguins and Capitals. With forward Matthew Tkachuk nearing a return, this club can receive a much-needed spark before the Olympic break.

No. 15 - Washington Capitals

Last Week Ranking - 14

The Capitals saw their up-and-down play continue in Week 15 and took a slight dip in our rankings. They opened Week 15 with a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens in overtime, but then fell to the Sharks (3-2) on Thursday and the reigning two-time Stanley Cup Champions (5-2) on Saturday.

Over their last 10, the Capitals hold a modest 4-5-1 record and now sit outside the top three of the Metropolitan Division heading into the new week. Following a four-game, five-goal surge from Alex Ovechkin earlier this month, the future Hall of Famer was able to find the back of the net this week and held a -3 rating.

No. 14 - Edmonton Oilers

Last Week Ranking - 12

The Oilers had an inconsistent showing in their busy five-game slate. On Monday, they took down the Blackhawks (4-1) but then fell to the Predators (4-3) in overtime on Tuesday. They took a second-straight loss to the Islanders on Thursday but bounced back on Saturday, defeating the Canucks in a demanding 6-0 victory.

On Sunday, they stayed hot as they dismantled the Blues, taking them down 5-0. In this contest, forward Zach Hyman led the way with two goals and a helper. Even though they took a slight hit this week, they carry a promising 5-3-2 record over their last 10 and remain in the heart of the Western playoff picture.

No. 13 - Pittsburgh Penguins

Last Week Ranking - 16

Following a rough end to last week, falling to the Flames and Bruins on the weekend, the Penguins enjoyed a solid bounce-back week, earning four points over their six games. They fell to the Lightning in a shootout on Tuesday but took down the Flyers in a critical Metropolitan Division showdown (6-3) on Thursday. On Saturday, they would fall to the Blue Jackets, once again in a shootout.

The Penguins carry a 6-2-2 record over their last 10, but would be sitting much higher in the standings if it weren't for their hefty 11 overtime losses. Their 1-7 record in a shootout could be the difference between them sneaking into the postseason or just missing out.

No. 12 - Toronto Maple Leafs

Last Week Ranking - 13

The Leafs enjoyed a nice bump in our rankings this week and continue to hold their ground in the top half. They began Week 15 with a 4-3 overtime victory over the Avalanche, but then dropped their next two games, falling to the Mammoth and the Golden Knights (in overtime). On Saturday, they would get back in the win column, defeating the Jets (4-3 OT).

Their 7-1-2 record over their last 10 has given them a much-needed boost in the Eastern Conference. Center Auston Matthews has been on a stellar run of scoring, scoring 10 goals and adding seven helpers over his last 11.

No. 11 - Buffalo Sabres

Last Week Ranking - 9

The Sabres began the week with a tough 4-3 loss to the Panthers, but rebounded well, suggesting this team needs to be taken seriously. On Wednesday and Thursday, they took down the Flyers and Canadiens to pick up another four points, before falling to the Wild in overtime on Saturday to close the week.

While they are not on their double-digit win streak anymore, the Sabres still boast an elite 7-2-1 record over their last 10 and remain within the top 10 of the current standings. Tage Thompson racked up another nine points this week, including a five-point masterclass against the Canadiens.

No. 10 - New York Islanders

Last Week Ranking - 8

The Islanders had a bit of an inconsistent week during their West trip, but remained locked in a top-10 spot on our rankings. They began the week with a tough 5-4 loss to the Jets in Winnipeg, but then shut out the Oilers in Edmonton (1-0) on Thursday. Ilya Sorokin continued to add to his Vezina resume in this game, stopping all 35 shots.

However, their week ended with a 4-2 loss to the Calgary Flames. They will continue the western trip this week, facing the Canucks and Kraken before returning home next weekend. Despite the brief slump, they remain a tick above most of their divisional foes in our rankings.

No. 9 - Boston Bruins

Last Week Ranking - 15

The Bruins carried a three-game winning streak into the new week and doubled it in Week 15, ending with a six-game winning streak. They began the week with a demanding 3-0 victory over the Red Winds and then took down the Kraken (4-2) and the Blackhawks (5-2). Over their last 10 games, the Bruins carry a stellar 8-1-1 record and are nearing the top of the Atlantic Division.

29-year-old right-wing David Pastrnak has played a major role in their surge. The star winger has scored five goals and tallied 13 assists over his last nine contests. During this stretch, he boasts an eye-catching +12 rating.

No. 8 - Dallas Stars

Last Week Ranking - 5

The Stars' inconsistent play continued in Week 15. They began the week with a 3-1 victory over the Kings, but would then fall to the Ducks (3-1) and Mammoth (2-1) in the middle of the week. On Sunday, they would take their third-straight loss to the Eastern powerhouse Tampa Bay Lightning.

Despite still holding the No. 2 spot in the Central Division, the Stars have been one of the worst teams in the sport over the last two weeks, carrying a 2-6-2 record over their last 10. Since the start of the New Year, Jake Oettinger has won just one of his six starts.

No. 7 - Montreal Canadiens

Last Week Ranking - 7

The Canadiens had a busy four-game slate in Week 15 and posted a 2-1-1 record to hold their footing near the top of the East. Their victories came against the Canucks and Senators, while they fell to the Capitals in overtime and the surging Sabres in regulation.

They still hold a strong 6-3-1 record over their last 10 and remain neck-and-neck with the Red Wings for the No. 2 spot in the Atlantic Division. Winger Cole Caufield found the back of the net three times this week, snapping a previous four-game goal drought.

No. 6 - Detroit Red Wings

Last Week Ranking - 6

The Red Wings had a busy four-game slate and continued to hold their footing near the top of the Atlantic Division. They opened the week with an impressive 4-3 overtime victory over the Hurricanes. While they fell to the Bruins (3-0) on Tuesday, they got back in the win column, defeating the Sharks (4-2) on Thursday.

On Sunday, they picked up their second straight victory, taking down their division foe, the Senators, in overtime (4-3). Their 64 pounds place them tied alongside the Lightning and Hurricanes at the top of the East. Star winger Alex DeBrincat continued his scoring binge this week, adding another two goals to his season tally.

No. 5 - Minnesota Wild

Last Week Ranking - 3

The Wild saw their skid continue in Week 15. They began the week with a 5-2 loss to the Devils as Jack and Luke go to the better end of the Hughes family tilt. Then on Thursday, the Wild fell to the struggling Jets (6-2) on their home ice. Fortunately, they got back on track and ended the week with a 5-4 overtime victory over the Sabres on Saturday.

They now carry a modest 4-3-3 record over the last 10 into Week 16. Following his dominant start, Jesper Wallstedt has now dropped each of his last two games, allowing a hefty 11 goals over this rough skid.

No. 4 - Vegas Golden Knights

Last Week Ranking - 10

Another red-hot team in the NHL is the Golden Knights. The Knights dominated last week, picking up all four victories, and saw this play continue in Week 15, extending their winning streak to seven games. This week, they took down the Kings, Maple Leafs, and Predators to stay on their impressive run.

Jack Eichel has played a massive role in their recent stretch of play. Over the last five contests, Eichel has scored five times and been elite at generating offense, adding 10 assists.

No. 3 - Carolina Hurricanes

Last Week Ranking - 4

The Hurricanes saw their four-game win streak snapped on Monday, as they fell to the Red Wings 4-3 in overtime. Then on Tuesday, they said their brief skid continued falling to the Blues (3-0). However, the Hurricanes wasted little time getting back on track, finishing Week 15 strong, picking up all four points over their last two games.

On Friday, they dismantled the Panthers, defeating them 9-1, and then took down the Devils (4-1) on Saturday. They now sit alongside the Lightning at the top of the Eastern Conference and have dropped just three games in regulation over their last 10.

No. 2- Tampa Bay Lightning

Last Week Ranking - 2

The Lightning have established themselves as the team to beat in the East. They began the week with a dominating 5-1 victory over the Flyers and then traveled across the state to take down the Penguins in a shootout. While they fell to the Blues in a shootout on Friday night, they rebounded well, defeating the Stars on Sunday afternoon.

Over their last 10, they carry a near-perfect 9-0-1 record. They hold an overall 30-13-4 record and remain the clear favorite to come out of the Eastern Conference as we approach the Olympic break.

No. 1 - Colorado Avalanche

Last Week Ranking - 1

The seat is getting warm. Even though the Avalanche still holds the top spot following a modest 0-1-1 showing this week, they are no longer the bona fide, clear top squad. They fell to the Leafs (4-3) in overtime on Monday and then took a rough 7-3 loss to the Predators, who are beginning to climb themselves back into the playoff picture.

Over their last 10, the Avalanche have dropped three games in regulation (out of their five total all season) and have won only six games. Cracks are beginning to show in their game.
