There are only two starting tight ends off in Week 11, and one will be sorely missed by fantasy football managers.
Indianapolis Colts star rookie Tyler Warren is off, meaning millions of fantasy footballers will need a substitute tight end for their crucial games this week, a game that might have playoff implications in their leagues. Then, you have the millions of managers who rostered Green Bay standout Tucker Kraft, who was knocked out for the season in Week 9 with a torn ACL.
There are a lot of fantasy folks scrambling like Lamar Jackson to find a tight end. If you need a replacement for Warren or Kraft, I am here to help! Here are the top tight end candidates to pick up on fantasy waiver wires heading into Week 11, starting with the same first-year guy who was atop last week’s column.

Top Tight Ends to Pick Up - Week 11 Waiver Wire
Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears
Chicago’s star rookie was the top tight end choice last week, and he remains in the catbird seat for another. Colston Loveland followed up his star-making Week 9 performance that saw him supply Chicago with 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns with a more down-to-earth four catches for 55 yards effort. Loveland has now relegated former TE1 Cole Kmet to “blocking tight end” status.
Loveland and his Bears face off this week against a Minnesota defense that has allowed 29 points per game over the past month and opposing tight ends to score touchdowns in each of the past three games. There is no reason to think the Loveland train will derail this week or in any of the upcoming weeks. Pick him up in whatever league you play in if he is somehow still available.
Other Tight Ends to Consider Adding
Theo Johnson, New York Giants
Theo Johnson continues to find ways to rack up fantasy points on a weekly basis. Although he failed to score a touchdown against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, he was able to catch a career-high seven passes for 75 yards in the losing effort.
The problem now is that QB Jaxson Dart might miss a game or two due to the concussion he suffered, so will Johnson’s value take a hit if washed-up Russell Wilson is throwing dying quails in his direction? Let’s hope Wilson can still hit Johnson from 5-10 yards away and that the young tight end’s fantasy needle keeps pointing upward.
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Talk about a tale of two seasons! Cade Otton was of no use to any fantasy managers during the first month of the campaign, catching just a half-dozen passes for 34 yards and having two games where he did not catch a single Baker Mayfield pass.
But Otton has been a PPR machine over his last five contests! 29 receptions for 319 yards during that scintillating span. Granted, no touchdowns for Otton this season, but scoring has never been his thing (10 TDs in 55 career games). As long as wideouts Mike Evans (collarbone) and Chris Godwin (fibula) are off the field, Otton is a solid fantasy play.
Do Not Forget About…
AJ Barner, Seattle Seahawks
AJ Barner was not a barn burner for fantasy managers in Week 10. He was banged up heading into the Arizona game and was not targeted, although he had two rushing attempts for a measly three yards, as Seattle continues to find every way to keep Kenneth Walker III from getting 20 carries a week.
Barner has scored just one touchdown over his last four games, but he scored four times in his first five games, so he should still be seen as a viable option if you need a TE.
Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
Tyler Shough is no Drew Brees, but he sure is getting the ball to Juwan Johnson. Johnson has scored touchdowns in both games Shough has started, and he piled up a career-high 92 receiving yards in New Orleans’ surprising victory over Carolina this past Sunday. Johnson’s issue is that he is the other starting tight end off this week due to the bye, so fantasy managers will have to wait patiently for him to return during Week 12.

Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns
Harold Fannin Jr. has been fantastic for Cleveland over his last five games, catching 25 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns. His fantasy future would be looking much more rosy if the Browns dealt David Njoku at the trade deadline, though. Now, Fannin will continue to split targets with the high-priced veteran in Cleveland’s below-par passing attack.
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
David Njoku staying put with the Browns does not do anyone any fantasy favors, but the muscular pass-catcher has strung together a nice mini-scoring streak of three touchdowns over his last four contests. Now, Njoku draws Baltimore’s 28th-ranked pass defense this Sunday, a team he has caught at least four balls against in five of his past six games against it.
Noah Fant, Cincinnati Bengals
We all know the fireworks that ensued the last time Cincinnati and division-rival Pittsburgh squared off. Fant had his best game of the year (4-44-1) and should be a prime play this Sunday when he faces the NFL’s worst pass defense for the second time this season. Don’t expect a 10-catch breakout performance, but another 4-44-1 line is not out of the question.
Kyle Pitts Sr., Atlanta Falcons
Another week, another head-scratcher of a game for Kyle Pitts Sr. While top target Drake London pilfered the Indianapolis secondary for 104 yards and a TD, Pitts settled for two receptions for 38 yards. Have you ever seen the No. 2 option in a passing “attack” utilized so sparingly? Well, Atlanta is known to ruin the fantasy values of its stars. Just look what happened to Bijan Robinson on Sunday morning.
Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills
We do not know yet how long Dalton Kincaid might be out due to the hamstring injury he suffered against Miami. Knox would be the beneficiary if Kincaid misses a week or three and has a long history with Josh Allen, especially inside the red zone, where Allen has always favored finding him.
Greg Dulcich, Miami Dolphins
Greg Dulcich had the tag of being an injury-prone, inconsistent player when he was with the Denver Broncos. Now, he is getting a second chance to shine in Miami thanks to another injury-prone tight end, Darren Waller (pectoral), being injured again. He has six catches for 71 yards over the past two weeks and now has a home game against Washington’s 29th-ranked pass defense lined up this weekend.
Mason Taylor, New York Jets
I would love to know what Mason Taylor could do in a conventional offense with a quarterback who doesn't throw like he's better suited for the XFL. Justin Fields has thrown for under 60 yards in three of his past four outings. What is Taylor supposed to do?
I would pick up Taylor in a keeper league and stash him for 2026, but I would not touch him with a 100-foot pole down the stretch in standard leagues due to his shaky signal-caller.
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans
C.J. Stroud couldn't milk a touchdown out of Dalton Schultz all season, yet Davis Mills steps under center, and Schultz finds the end zone like he was Randy Moss circa 2007. Schultz should do fine this week, no matter who his quarterback is. He will be facing the 1-8 Tennessee Titans, whose pass defense is not good despite the numbers.
Teams just do not throw a lot in the second half against them because they are usually up a couple of scores.

Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson and Isaiah Likely are both back, and Baltimore’s offense looks as dangerous as it has in the past. Likely tied tight end teammate Mark Andrews for second on the team in targets versus Minnesota and had a season-high 60 yards the week prior. What is going against him this week is that he is slated to play against a Cleveland defense that has held him to eight catches over the past four games he has played against it.
