Is Rhamondre Stevenson The Starting Running Back For The New England Patriots When He Returns? Week 10 Injury Update

Rhamondre Stevenson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Will Rhamondre Stevenson start for the New England Patriots when he returns? Dan Fornek breaks down the Week 10 Rhamondre Stevenson return timeline and fantasy football outlook.

Rhamondre Stevenson has been a steady producer for fantasy managers this season, even if it came at the expense of popular rookie TreVeyon Henderson.

Unfortunately, a toe injury has sidelined him in recent weeks. That has allowed Henderson to take over a greater role in the backfield. But will he take advantage of the opportunity to take on a larger role for the Patriots?

Will Rhamondre Stevenson continue to start in New England when he returns from his injury? Read below to find out.

Will Rhamondre Stevenson Start for the Patriots When He Returns?

Rhamondre Stevenson has been a pleasant surprise to anybody who drafted him late in 2025 fantasy drafts. It was expected that the veteran running back would take a backseat (or be phased out altogether) by the 2025 second-round pick, TreVeyon Henderson.

Instead, Stevenson took on the lead role in the backfield through the first eight weeks of the season. Stevenson averaged a 61.8% snap share, handling 83 carries for 279 yards and three touchdowns while adding 16 receptions on 19 targets for 169 yards. He led the backfield in all of those categories from Weeks 1 to 8.

Unfortunately, Stevenson suffered a toe injury in Week 8 that led to him missing Week 9 and being ruled out of Week 10’s game as well. In his absence, Henderson and Terrell Jennings have split the backfield duties.

There have been numerous chances for the Patriots to reduce Stevenson’s role in the backfield, given his continued struggles with fumbles (three this season). However, at this point, neither Henderson nor Jennings has done anything to overtake his role.

When healthy, Stevenson is poised to once again take on his majority 60% share of the backfield unless Henderson or Jennings have a major game in Week 10.

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook

Stevenson was the RB34 in PPR points per game, averaging 9.4 points. Stevenson had three top 20 positional scoring weeks to start the season, including an RB6 finish in Week 2. Stevenson’s role as an early down runner unfortunately doesn’t yield a ton of fantasy production unless he falls into the end zone.

The veteran running back had seen his role expand in the three weeks leading up to his injury. Stevenson’s snap share increased to 73.6% with him handling 45 carries for 140 yards and a touchdown.

He will see enough volume to be a consistent RB3/FLEX play, but can finish as a solid RB2 as long as he falls into the end zone.
