NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (10/28/25)

Bam Adebayo - Miami Heat

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Koby's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on October 28th, 2025.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! The Sports Equinox has come and gone, and it was a crazy day filled with some great basketball and an insane World Series game that went 18 innings. We have a smaller five-game slate on deck for us tonight. We get all five of them on both sites, starting the day off in D.C. with the Wizards taking on the 76ers and finishing the night with a super late 11 pm EST start time of the Clippers and Warriors game. Good Luck staying up for that one if you are on the East Coast!

We have 10 teams taking the court today, and three of them are on the second leg of a back-to-back. The 76ers, Thunder, and Warriors are those teams and may have some news that hasn't come out yet. Keep an eye on big names such as Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Cole Anthony, as those guys could have big DFS implications. Be sure to stay up to date with the latest news and updates before tip-off and adjust your lineup accordingly. The picks below are based on the info we have coming into the day, and will focus mostly on the nine games on both slates.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/28/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on FanDuel and DraftKings. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where our experts are talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

NBA DFS Core Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL - PF (DK $11.8K, FD $12.1K)

Good luck choosing between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for your core piece on this slate. Both guys have been on unreal runs to start the season, and both will cost you an arm and a leg to get to! Giannis is coming off an absurd 80 fantasy point performance against the Cavs on Monday Night, where he finished with 40 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists, and four STOCKS! So far this season, he has shown himself to be worth every penny, and with no legit second option in the offense, Giannis will continue to be a workhorse.

I give the edge to Giannis pretty much due to the matchup; the Knicks have struggled more against big men than the Kings have against point guards. Not that SGA is truly guardable, but Giannis being in this matchup, especially with Karl-Anthony Towns questionable, Giannis could have free reign over the front court in this matchup.

VJ Edgecombe, PHI - SG/SF (DK $6.5K, FD $6.6K)

VJ Edgecombe is going to give Cooper Flagg a run for his money in the rookie of the year race this season. He has been on an insane run, breaking multiple records in his first three games of the season. The nice thing is, he is still priced really nicely for us. He has triple-double upside in the 6k range. It's not often we get that kinda upside. He has 44+ fantasy points in all three games. In all three of those games, he has demonstrated being a multi-tool player, with 10+ RA in each game and multiple stocks.

At his price, I expect Edgecombe to be pretty chalky, but if ain't broke, don't fix it, right? I'll keep riding the rookie, especially as he sees nearly 40+ minutes per game! This Wizards team continues to be a disaster and has given up on average nearly 130 points per game. This 76ers team should have its way with them; let's just hope it doesn't get out of hand too early.

NBA DFS GPP Pivots

Bam Adebayo, MIA - PF/C ($8K DK, $7.8K FD)

Bam is gearing up for a great season with the Heat. The loss of Tyler Herro for a bit has put a little more pressure on Adebayo to perform at the highest level. So far, he has lived up to that; they are 2-1 so far, and he has a double-double in two of those three games, with the one game being a 30-point blowout that he only played 28 minutes in. The biggest downside here has been his turnovers; he has 11 in his first three games, which is a bit concerning, but I think Adebyao does better against a weak Hornets frontcourt.

The sample size is small, but so far, the Hornets are giving up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing centers and the most points by quite a large margin. Nicolas Claxton, Joel Embiid, and Alex Sarr all have had good games against them. This game has the highest total on the slate at 241.5, which should make this a prime spot for Adebayo, and I think he might go a bit overlooked with the options on the slate, making him a solid GPP option.

James Harden, LAC - PG/SG(FD) ($8.5K DK, $8.7K FD)

James Harden is a great way to relieve yourself of nearly 3k in salary compared to SGA. Harden finds himself in a great spot here against the Warriors. The Warriors will be playing their fifth game in a week. They might be a little gassed, and the Clippers got a day off yesterday after their win over Portland on Monday. Harden has done a good job this season in spreading the ball around, averaging just over 10 assists and 22 points a game.

Harden has back-to-back games of 48 fantasy points and will look to take advantage of a Warriors defense that has struggled against PGs to start the season. Giving up the second-most fantasy points and the most assists per game this season. Harden is a great play to get off the chalk that is like SGA and Tyrese Maxey.

NBA DFS Value Picks

Kon Knueppel, CHA - SG(FD)/SF (DK $4.9K, FD $4.3K)

Kon Knueppel is already making waves for this young Hornets team. He is extremely cheap, and it looks like Brandon Miller might be out for a few games, and Tre Mann is questionable with a jaw injury. This should put Knueppel right in the driver's seat. On Monday, he played 34 minutes and had his best game of his young career with 20 points, six boards, and two assists, and finished with 31 fantasy points.

Knueppel should slot into the SF spot for this matchup, and that makes for a good matchup. So far, this season, Miami is giving up the sixth most fantasy points to opposing SFs. It's early in the season, but it's encouraging to see Knueppel getting solid playing time in what should be a great spot for him. That price is just too hard to ignore.

Ryan Rollins/ Cole Anthony, MIL - PG/SG (DK $4.6K, FD $5.5K)

Milwaukee needs a point guard, if only Damian Lillard hadn't gotten injured. Anyways, Kevin Porter Jr. was expected to be in that spot for the season, but he got the injury bug early this season. That means Cole Anthony and Ryan Rollins should slot into that role for now. If Cole Anthony is good to go, then he is an immediate play. If he is out, then look to Ryan Rollins, who should see plenty of minutes like he did on Monday.

Both guys are in good spots here and are virtually the same price on FanDuel. Just keep an eye on the injury report, because who you play will be dependent on who is available to play. The pairing with Giannis will correlate nicely as well.

Kelly Oubre Jr., PHI - SG(FD)/SF (DK $5.7K, FD $5K)

Kelly Oubre Jr. might see himself in the PF position if the 76ers' big men keep getting injured. It looks like Embiid will be back for this one, but the absence of Paul George, Dominick Barlow, and Trendon Watford should give Oubre plenty of looks. Just last night, Oubre had a big game, finishing with 52 fantasy points on 25 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 STOCKS! Embiid, when he is in the lineup, is only seeing 20 minutes a game.

I expect Oubre to see close to 40 minutes once again, as long as the game doesn't blow out against the Wizards.

Ajay Mitchell, OKC - PG  (DK $4.9K, FD $5.1K)

I think both sites are scared to move Ajay Mitchell much further up the pricing board, and I'm all for it. Keep giving me Mitchell for super cheap. Initially, I thought I would only play him with Cason Wallace out, but he has still been getting minutes and performing extremely well with him back as well. He has averaged 32 fantasy points in the first four games of the season, and even in last night's game, he played 27 minutes and finished with 28 fantasy points.

That would be good for just over 5x his price. As long as Alex Caruso and Isaiah Joe continue to be out, Mitchell should continue to see a sizeable role off the bench.
