Cam Skattebo, Wan'Dale Robinson, Theo Johnson: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 6

Cam Skattebo - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Rookie Sleepers

Should I start Cam Skattebo, Wan'Dale Robinson, Theo Johnson for Week 6? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2025 NFL season.

The first quarter of the season has passed, and we are rapidly approaching the midway point. The football season always runs by so fast. Week 6 is here, and we have another divisional matchup on Thursday Night Football between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

In this article, we will take a look at three Giants players and assess whether to start or sit them against the Eagles' defense. We'll discuss rookie Cam Skattebo, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Theo Johnson in particular for this piece. These three players look like the focal point of the Giants' offense with star Malik Nabers (knee) out for the season.

So, should fantasy managers start Skattebo, Robinson, and Johnson in Week 1? Let's dive in and find out.

Should I Start Cam Skattebo for Fantasy Football?

Skattebo has operated as the clear workhorse back for the Giants with Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) injured. It started when Tracy left during their Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs. Skattebo took the reins instantly, rushing 10 times for 60 yards and a touchdown while adding six catches (eight targets) for 61 yards. It looks like Tracy may be able to return for Thursday night's, however.

Since Week 3, he's averaging over 22 opportunities (rushes + targets) per game. The rookie is RB9 in PPR points in that time (51.7). His involvement as a receiver has been super encouraging and is backed up by his excellent receiving profile at Arizona State. He caught 69 balls across his two seasons there and was highly efficient, gaining almost 13 yards per reception.

Notably, with rookie Jaxson Dart mostly operating as a one-read and scramble guy right now, Skattebo still saw nine targets in his first two starts, catching eight of them for 56 yards. His tenacious, downhill running style is perfect for the goal line and finishing off tough runs into the end zone.

The fourth-rounder has soaked up all the high-value touches and should still be the lead back, even with Tracy returning. It's a positive matchup for Skattebo as Philadelphia is allowing the ninth most PPR points per game (19.1) to running backs this season. Skattebo can be fired up as an RB2 with upside in Week 6.

Should I Start Wan'Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?

Robinson has been thrust into the No. 1 WR role in New York with Nabers done for the season. For the season, he's caught 23 of 34 targets for 267 yards and a touchdown, ranking as WR38 in PPR points per game (11.2). Robinson was memed quite a bit last season for his weekly stat lines with a bunch of receptions but very little yardage. But he still racked up 140 targets last season, tied for 12th most in the league. It looks like the Giants have more injuries at wide receiver, as Darius Slayton (hamstring) is not expected to play on Thursday.

Since the Giants transitioned to the rookie Dart at QB, Robinson has earned 12 total targets in his two starts. The ceiling is obviously capped with Robinson, but the path to a high number of targets is clear. He flashed some ability to win downfield in Week 2 at Dallas, catching a 50-yard touchdown from Russell Wilson on his way to a career high 142 receiving yards. Jalin Hyatt is the only other viable WR option for the Giants, but he's essentially been a total non-factor for his career.

The Eagles have been a middle-of-the-pack matchup for opposing wide receivers, ranking 15th in PPR points per game. However, Robinson will mostly be facing nickel corner Cooper DeJean, who is one of the best in the league. Philadelphia plays man coverage at the second-highest rate in the NFL, where Robinson is less effective compared to zone coverage. Robinson is a solid WR3/FLEX play this week due to the heavy number of targets he should be expected to see.

Should I Start Theo Johnson for Fantasy Football?

Johnson looks like the biggest beneficiary of the QB change in New York, catching nine of 12 targets for 50 yards and all three of Dart's career touchdowns in his first two starts. Johnson is tied with Robinson for the team lead in targets and has three of the four total touchdowns scored since Dart's first start in Week 4. Johnson is one of three players to have five red zone targets in the past two weeks, along with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Alvin Kamara. For the season, he's tied for fifth in targets inside the 10.

Johnson is a freak athlete at 6'6", 264 pounds. He was in the 90th percentile or better in vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash, and 10-yard split. His role in the offense has been increased without their best player, and there are reasons to see it continuing. It is worth noting that the pass volume is still a question mark. Dart threw 20 passes in their upset win over the Chargers, but doubled that mark with 40 attempts as they fell behind and played catch-up in New Orleans.

Against the Chargers, they posted a 5.7% pass rate below expectation, which then increased to 2.2% below expectation the next week against the Saints. Dart is still very raw and often has scrambled or has gotten sacked instead of going through his progressions, which will limit the total number of pass attempts.

His 21% combined scramble and sack rate is the third highest in the NFL, behind J.J. McCarthy and Tyrod Taylor (minimum 50 plays). But for Brock Bowers' fantasy owners or those desperate for TE scoring, Johnson is a borderline TE1/TE2 in Week 6 against a Philadelphia defense that has allowed the fourth-fewest PPR points per game to tight ends this season.
