Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson confirmed on Monday that cornerback Jaylon Johnson (abdomen) will have core-muscle surgery and should be able to return this year, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Johnson will have surgery this week after meeting with Dr. William Meyers of The Vincera Institute, and he could be back in the second half of the season. The 26-year-old defensive back was placed on Injured Reserve on Saturday after he aggravated an abdominal injury in the Week 2 loss to the Detroit Lions. It's good news for the Bears' defense, but it's unknown exactly when the former second-rounder might be back. In the meantime, Nahshon Wright will continue to be a starter on the outside for Chicago heading into a Week 4 contest on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders.--Keith HernandezRead More News
