Although the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas had a history of dominating at Loudon in recent years, the Toyotas in general were unusually slow in yesterday's race and Denny Hamlin had a fairly mediocre run by his standards, starting ninth and finishing twelfth. He did work his way up to the top six for a while, but fell just outside the top ten during a pit stop on the final caution and never seemed to recover. He still accumulated enough playoff points in the regular season to make him a pretty safe bet to advance to the Round of 8 as he sits 27 points ahead of Ross Chastain for the final playoff spot.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller
