MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks
Drake London - WR, $15,600 (DK), $15,300 (FD)
I think we are getting incredible value on Drake London here. He saw 15 targets in last week's loss to the Buccaneers. That was also with him leaving in the fourth quarter. Now, I don't expect London to continue seeing that many targets, but it could still be in the 10+ range. Darnell Mooney has been cleared to play, which will slightly reduce his targets.
This Vikings defense gave up the most receptions and receiving yards to opposing WRs last season. The only team to give up more fantasy points just so happens to be the Atlanta Falcons. London lines up the majority of the time on the right side and in the slot. He would have lined up against Jeff Okudah, but it's looking like he is out for this one. He will see a lot of Byron Murphy Jr. and whoever backs up Okudah. Murphy gives up .28 fantasy points per route run.
This should be a great spot for the standout WR, who is clearly ready for a breakout season with the Falcons. We're also getting a great discount on FanDuel, where he is the fifth most expensive player on the slate, and I don't see how London doesn't end up in the top three of fantasy scoring in this showdown.
J.J. McCarthy - QB, $14,100 (DK), $16,800 (FD)
It took three quarters to get going, but J.J. McCarthy really turned it up. He was able to get the job done both through the air and on the ground. He should be a bit more prepared for this one and be a little bit more confident in his game as he looks to make his second start of his career.
Last season, the Falcons' defense gave up the seventh most fantasy points to opposing QBs. They also gave up the third-most rushing yards by a QB in the league. McCarthy only ran the ball twice in his first outing, but it resulted in 25 yards. Having that option in his back pocket is huge for this game. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw McCarthy rush another TD in this one.
I'm anticipating there will be heavy Bijan Robinson ownership on this slate, so getting a bit different in the MVP field could make for a huge difference.
Other Captains/MVPs: Bijan Robinson, Justin Jefferson

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks
T.J. Hockenson - TE, $6,200 (DK), $8,000 (FD)
T.J. Hockenson was a bit lackluster in his first game of the season, as he only saw four targets. A big thing with having a new QB is getting that timing and connection down to a science. It may take a week or two, but I'm willing to take a shot on him. Josh Oliver might be out, and although that doesn't affect Hockenson too much, making him the only catching TE may end up giving him an extra target or two.
Hockenson played in 80% of snaps in Week 1, and as long as Jordan Addison continues to be out. Hockenson should continue being seen as the WR2 in this lineup.
Jordan Mason - RB, $6,600 (DK), $7,000 (FD)
I think you can go with either running back on this slate, and I highly encourage you to run a little bit of both in your lineups. It looks to me that the Vikings are going to use Aaron Jones Sr. as more of a receiving back, while Jordan Mason gets the majority of the carries. Mason also saw nearly all the carries in the red zone. They get any opportunities to run the ball within the 10-yard line.

As they get closer, I expect Mason to get more carries closer to the end zone, which should result in some more touchdowns for him. Like I said, though, Jones could easily steal some passes that could result in a touchdown as well. It'll be easier to see as the season goes on, but for now, get a little bit of both so that your bases are all covered.
Other Flex Options: Michael Penix Jr., Aaron Jones Sr., Darnell Mooney
Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks
Kyle Pitts Sr. - TE, $5,800 (DK), $5,800 (FD)
Don't look now, but is it Kyle Pitts' year finally? It looks like the connection with Michael Penix Jr. is paying off this season. He had eight targets that ended in seven receptions for 59 yards in Week 1. We have seen a dramatic increase in usage for Pitts since Penix started at QB. If we could just get some endzone receptions, that would be big for Pitts.
Kyle Pitts 2025 paces:
♦️ 1.55 YPRR (highest since ‘22)
♦️ .29 MTF/REC (career high)
♦️ 5.71 YAC/REC (2nd highest of career)
♦️ 5.86 YAContact (2x career high)❗️
♦️ .79 separation score (highest since ‘22)
♦️ 10.5% route win rate (highest since ‘22)The unicorn is back. pic.twitter.com/PxqwwofZWz

If we continue to see what we saw in Week 1, at his price, he is going to crush. I imagine he will likely be highly owned because of his price, and with Mooney back in the lineup. It will force more onto Pitts rather than Ray-Ray McCloud III, who had a solid outing in Week 1 as well.
Will Reichard - K, $5,000 (DK), $6,800 (FD)
Will Reichard came up clutch in last week's game at the end of the first half. He hit a 59-yarder to put them closer at halftime, which was also his career-long. Last year, he was about 80% on Field Goals, which isn't elite, but the dudes got a hell of a leg to be putting out near 60-yarders. I think the offseason was good for him, and with a rookie QB at the helm. We could see more Field Goals this season while he gets comfortable. I love my kickers in these showdown slates; they are nearly guaranteed points, and with there being a lack of value, this makes for a good spot.
Other Value Options: Nick Vannett (If Josh Oliver is out), Adam Thielen, John Parker Romo,
Sample NFL DFS Lineup
Here is a lineup option I like for tonight's slate on FanDuel. Note that sample lineups are not intended to be used in contests by readers, but instead to show the type of roster construction that I am considering when building my lineups tonight.
