NFL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings - Commanders vs. Packers Thursday Night Showdown

Josh Jacobs - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Picks

Koby's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- Commanders vs. Packers TNF slate for Week 2 Thursday Night Football (Sept. 11, 2025). His NFL daily fantasy sleeper picks.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Week 1 was an absolute blast, and I'm so glad football is back! Doing the showdowns is one of my favorite ways to play DFS. This Thursday, we have a great matchup between some NFC champion hopefuls as the Washington Commanders travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers!

Thanks to today's advanced analytics, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season, gang, and get right to it.

I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on DraftKings, FanDuel for Thursday Night Football in Week 2 -- Commanders vs. Packers on September 11th, 2025. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks. Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Jayden Daniels - QB, $16,500 (DK), $20,400 (FD)

I'll start things off with the most expensive guy on the slate, Jayden Daniels. He has shown himself to be worth every penny as the former ROTY started right where he left off with an impressive dual-threat performance.

He had 233 passing yards and a touchdown, and also had 68 rushing yards on 11 attempts in Week 1. The Packers were able to bring quite a bit of pressure on Jared Goff last week, but he is nowhere near as mobile as Daniels.

Daniels should be able to get out of the pocket early and make plays happen. This game should be an all-out war with a couple of explosive offenses. I'm expecting Daniels to throw the ball quite a bit in this one and use his legs when the pocket begins to collapse.

Josh Jacobs - RB, $16,200 (DK), $11,400 (FD)

I usually like to go with a double QB strategy, but I'll mix it up here with Josh Jacobs, who had a very prominent role in Week 1. He rushed 19 times for 66 yards and a touchdown and even caught his lone target. Washington's defense had a good start against the run in Week 1, but the difference between Jacobs and Tyrone Tracy Jr./Cam Skattebo is dramatic.

Even if Jacobs does get shut down early, I do think that Jordan Love will find him in the passing game more than he did in Week 1. Jacobs has basically no competition, with Chris Brooks and Emanuel Wilson being essentially nonexistent in the offense. Last season, the Commanders gave up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing RBs. Expect Jacobs to continue eating in this offense.

Other Captains/MVPs: Jordan Love, Deebo Samuel Sr., Jacory Croskey-Merritt

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Deebo Samuel Sr. - WR, $8,600 (DK), $10,200 (FD)

Deebo Samuel Sr. had quite the prominent role in the Commanders' game plan in Week 1. He tallied 77 yards on seven receptions while being targeted 10 times. He also had a 19-yard rushing touchdown to seal the game late in the fourth quarter. The Giants' defense didn't have an answer for him, which is why Daniels continued to pump him with targets.

He is getting an excellent matchup in the slot this week, where he runs 80% of his routes. He will likely be lined up against Javon Bullard, who has given up .33 fantasy points per route run, which is the fifth highest on the entire weekend! Until I see Terry McLaurin get more targets, I'm gonna keep running Samuel while he gets peppered with targets throughout the season.

Zach Ertz - TE, $5,800 (DK), $5,200 (FD)

I'm going to keep it here with the Commanders. I'm actually surprised to see Zach Ertz this cheap still. In Week 1, he saw five targets with three receptions, including a touchdown. This game wasn't relatively close, so I could see that number continue to rise throughout the season with Ertz not having much competition in the TE department.

Last week, Ertz played 64% of the snaps. I expect that number to continue to rise as the season goes on and for him to be a very impactful receiver for this Commanders offense, especially in the red zone. Last week, the Packers were gouged by Sam LaPorta for nearly 80 yards, catching six of his nine targets. At Ertz's price, he makes for a great flex/value option with some of the top guys being pretty expensive on this slate.

Other Flex Options: Matthew Golden, Terry McLaurin

Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon McManus - K, $5,000 (DK), $7,000 (FD)

Brandon McManus joined the Packers late last season, and man, was he a good pickup for them. McManus went on to hit all but one of his 21 attempted field goals last season. He's already off to a solid start, where he hit two field goals in last week's game in the 30-yard range. He didn't take too many 50+ yarders last season, but he made all three of them, and his long was 55. The leg is still there for the 11-year veteran.

If the Commanders' red-zone defense keeps up the pace, then McManus could be a crucial part of your lineup, as he might kick multiple field goals in this one. Kickers are always a solid way to get some points because they have multiple avenues with field goals and extra points.

Romeo Doubs - WR, $4,000 (DK), $4,200 (FD)

It looks like the WR room is healthy for the Packers. Jayden Reed is still dealing with a foot fracture, however, and could still be limited in his snap count as he was last week.

Romeo Doubs nearly played every snap, finishing with a 97% snap count. He only saw four targets in the first contest, but was able to bring in two of them for 68 yards. Jordan Love has the arm to get him the ball downfield, and anytime we get someone with a high snap count for this cheap, count me in!

Other Value Options: Tucker Kraft, Noah Brown

Sample NFL DFS Lineup

Here is a lineup option I like for tonight's slate on FanDuel. Note that sample lineups are not intended to be used in contests by readers, but instead to show the type of roster construction that I am considering when building my lineups tonight.
