NASCAR DFS and Betting Preview for Iowa - Iowa Corn 350

Ricky Stenhouse Jr - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR Driver

Jordan's NASCAR DFS and NASCAR betting preview for Iowa. Betting odds, favorites, long shots, DFS picks, and more for the 2025 Iowa Corn 350.

The second-ever NASCAR Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway is this weekend, as the Iowa Corn 350 is set to take place on Sunday afternoon.

In last year's race at Iowa, we saw Ryan Blaney in victory lane after a dominating effort, leading 201 of the 350 laps. Kyle Larson also had a rocketship in that race, as he started on the pole and led 80 laps before wrecking out and ultimately finishing 34th.

Iowa is a 7/8-mile race track that fits into the short, flat category. It compares best to Phoenix, and then you can also throw in other short, flat tracks such as New Hampshire and Richmond.

Weekend Schedule at Iowa

There are 350 laps scheduled for this weekend's Iowa Corn 350, with the first Stage being just 70 laps while the final two Stages are scheduled for 140 laps each.

The weekend schedule for this Sunday's race at Iowa Speedway is relatively standard, and it looks like this:

  • Practice and Qualifying: 1:35-3:30 pm ET on Saturday (broadcast on truTV)
  • Start Time Green Flag for Race: 3:47 pm ET on Sunday
  • Broadcast TV: USA

The Favorites Heading Into the Race Weekend

Christopher Bell (+500 to win) - It's hard to bet against Christopher Bell on a short, flat track. At Phoenix earlier this season, he started 11th and led 105 laps before taking the win. Bell also won at New Hampshire last season and finished fourth here at Iowa. In the two Phoenix races last season, he went to victory lane in the spring and finished fifth in the fall.

Kyle Larson (+450 to win) - The Playoffs are right around the corner, which means the No. 5 team will probably start to heat up here soon. Larson had a really fast race car here at Iowa last season before wrecking out and finished third at Phoenix earlier this season. He also came home fourth at New Hampshire last year. It'd be surprising if Yung Money isn't a contender in corn country this weekend.

William Byron (+900 to win) - Luck has to turn around for this No. 24 team soon, right? Byron ran out of gas at Indianapolis last weekend and has another asterisk mark on his record for the year, but he could definitely be a contender at Iowa this weekend. Willy B ended up second to Blaney in this race last year and led 83 laps from the pole at Phoenix earlier this year (before ultimately finishing sixth).

Underdogs to Keep an Eye On

Josh Berry (+2500 to win) - Don't be surprised if Josh Berry has a good run here this weekend. In addition to finishing seventh in the Iowa race last season (while driving for Stewart-Haas Racing), Berry also came home third at New Hampshire. This season, now that he's in the Wood Brothers car, Berry was able to come home fourth at Phoenix, which is the most comparable track to Iowa.

Alex Bowman (+4500 to win) - Sportsbooks seem to be down quite a bit on Alex Bowman this weekend, and it doesn't make a ton of sense. "The Showman" finished eighth here at Iowa last season (despite starting 33rd) and ended up seventh at Phoenix earlier this season (after qualifying 32nd). If the No. 48 Chevrolet has a decent qualifying run this weekend, Bowman could be in the picture.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr (+25000 to win) - Just like the Preview last week with Indianapolis and John Hunter Nemechek, we're not looking at Stenhouse as a great pick to win here at Iowa on Sunday, but a good run definitely isn't out of the question. Ricky came home fifth in the race here last year (after starting 35th) and has found success at this track in the Xfinity Series, with three wins and no finish worse than fifth in his last four starts here.
