Top 25 Injured Players to Stash for Fantasy Baseball - Week 14 (2025)

Luis Gil - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups - icon rotoballer

Josh's top 25 injured players to stash for fantasy baseball as of Week 14 (2025). His top fantasy baseball injury stashes for IL spots and redraft leagues.

Welcome, RotoBallers, to another installment of the Injured Players to Stash for Fantasy Baseball series as we head into Week 14 of the 2025 MLB season. Today, we list the top 25 high-profile injured MLB players rostered in less than 65% of leagues worth stashing in your leagues, including names like Luis Robert Jr., Tyler Mahle, Brandon Woodruff, and more.

Whether managers had to drop these players or they were left off rosters, you can capitalize on your league mates' mistakes. With some savvy moves, you can scoop up difference-makers before your opponents get the chance.

Below, I've listed my top 25 injured players in fantasy baseball in order of Yahoo! roster percentage. I've also highlighted five players to watch, as they could return sooner rather than later. Without further ado, let's get to the list!

Fantasy Baseball Players To Monitor Closely

Luis Robert Jr., OF - Chicago White Sox

Rostered: 65% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: TBD

Robert has been disappointing this season, especially for fantasy managers who expected him to bounce back from his horrible offensive showing in 2024. Now, he's hit the injured list with a hamstring injury, and his timeline to return is up in the air.
The White Sox are not a good team, and that environment is not conducive to fantasy success, but Robert hasn't been doing himself any favors.
The White Sox slugger has not been a valuable fantasy asset for a long time now, and that can be attributed to several factors. Robert has been the victim of bad luck in the health department, suffering five injuries this season alone.
It's also possible that he's been unmotivated to perform for a team that has a near-zero chance of contending for anything at the end of the season. Regardless of health and motivation, Robert has been a flat-out bad hitter all on his own over the past year.
Since the beginning of the 2024 season, Robert has slashed .209/.275/.354 with 229 strikeouts in 173 games. Despite all these negatives, he's still rostered in 65% of Yahoo! leagues because of his upside.
In 2023, he hit 38 home runs and 36 doubles to drive in 80 runs. Robert was one of the best outfielders in the league just two years ago, and the hope is he can regain that form.
The clearest path to fixing what has been broken seems to be a change of scenery. The White Sox star has been a potential trade candidate for a few years now, and with the trade deadline approaching, Robert could be on the move. If the 27-year-old finds himself on a contender with renewed motivation to perform, he could be a sneaky second-half breakout candidate.
Robert is available in over 30% of Yahoo! leagues and is probably even more available on other sites. Stash Robert ahead of the trade deadline and hope he lands in a more fantasy-friendly environment.

Tyler Mahle, SP - Texas Rangers

Rostered: 65% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: August

Mahle has been a reliable pitcher for fantasy this season, earning a 2.34 ERA through 77 innings in 2025. The Rangers pitcher is now on the injured list with a shoulder injury, and he isn't expected to return until August.
The 30-year-old has been a surprise as a starting pitcher, considering he has been a middling option for fantasy rotations in recent years. Mahle has racked up 56 strikeouts in his 77 innings this season, good for a 6.55 K/9. His K/9 this season is the worst mark of his career, but he's been finding other ways to get batters out.
Although his 4.18 xERA doesn't back what he's been able to accomplish so far, Mahle should remain a decent fantasy option for the second half of the season upon his return. Acquire Mahle where he is available and enjoy a reliable pitching option once he is removed from the injured list.

Brandon Woodruff, SP - Milwaukee Brewers

Rostered: 55% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: July 4-6

I truly hope this is the last time I mention Brandon Woodruff this season. His road back to the majors has been tumultuous, but it appears to be reaching an end. Woodruff started his rehab assignment back in mid-April, and he should finally make his season debut in July.

Woodruff was one of the best pitchers in baseball when he suffered his shoulder injury in 2023, and the optimist in me wants to believe he can be 85-90% of the pitcher he was back then. However, as I mentioned earlier, the road back has not been easy. The veteran pitcher first suffered an ankle injury when he was nearing a season debut, which pushed his timeline back.
Once he was built up again after the ankle injury, Woodruff was nailed with a comebacker right in the elbow during his planned final rehab start. The elbow injury caused swelling but was ultimately a minor issue. Once the swelling subsided, Woodruff continued his rehabilitation process.
The most recent news is that Woodruff completed a rehab start on Sunday, June 29. In that start, the Brewers pitcher finished 3 2/3 innings, giving up four runs and collecting one strikeout.
Despite the outing's results, Woodruff raised his pitch count to 82 and his velocity to 95 miles per hour. This is an important development because his velocity had noticeably dropped in his previous rehab outings.
If all goes well this week, Woodruff could finally make his 2025 debut against the Miami Marlins this weekend. Woodruff is available in nearly half of Yahoo! leagues, and he is worth stashing in case he can return to his former ace status.

Royce Lewis, 3B - Minnesota Twins

Rostered: 46% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: July 1-4

The oft-injured Royce Lewis is another player who has been difficult to roster because the talent is there, but the health is not. Lewis appeared to finally be finding his offensive groove, but then he got injured while running to first on a single.

Lewis was the first overall pick in the 2017 draft, and he displayed his abilities last season, albeit in a smaller sample size. In 82 games last year, Lewis mashed 16 home runs, which would've put him on a 32-homer pace for the season if he had been healthy enough to complete it.
The Twins slugger is dealing with a hamstring injury but has made good progress so far. Lewis is reportedly expected to rejoin the team sometime this week and hopefully put these injuries behind him.
Lewis is available in over half of Yahoo! leagues, and given the state of the third base position this season, he is well worth adding.

Luis Gil, SP - New York Yankees

Rostered: 30% Yahoo!
Estimated Return: Late July/Early August

The reigning American League Rookie of the Year, Luis Gil, is working his way back from a lat injury but should be able to make his 2025 debut sometime after the All-Star break.
Gil burst onto the scene in 2024 with a 1.99 ERA through June 1, but his effectiveness decreased down the stretch. Whether the league was adjusting to him or he was feeling some fatigue from his first season as a major leaguer, Gil tapered off, but there are reasons for optimism.
Gil is only 27 years old and could build on his rookie season with a strong second half of this season. The Yankees pitcher also had an average fastball velocity of 96.6 mph, which ranked fifth among pitchers with at least 150 innings pitched.
Gil is available in 70% of Yahoo! leagues and is worth stashing before the hype around his return starts to build.
